I really have to disagree with you Mik about your rankings of the finales. Finales: 1. Clay and Reuben. This one you got right. But this one really is a no-brainer. 2. Kelly and Justin. This was NOT a slamdunk for Kelly and Justin was NOT awful. Justin was very good on the show and was easily the favorite going into the season and MAYBE even going into the finale. Justin was unquestionably the person the judges were pimping from day one. And Kelly didn't even have the benefit of being the most pushed girl. That honor went to Tamyra. And this is where I have to strongly disagree with you cabbage. Lakisha was not even close to being in Tamyra's league. Tamyra is one of the better singers in the show's history and could easily have won any other season except for probably Carrie's. So this result was definately in question. 3. Taylor and McPhee. This is where things take a serious nose dive in competitiveness. This one is third for only one reason: McPhee's performance of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow." She nailed it so good in the semi-finals and again in the finale that you could see her winning over some people with it. But Taylor was so far out in front that it didn't really matter. 4. Fantasia and Degarmo. This one was pretty much a slam dunk. Lushus is right about DeGarmo though. She improved all throughout the season and was't a bad singer really. Like he said though, she bombed in the finale and left little doubt who would win. But not as little doubt as there would be the next year. 5. Carrie and Bo. This is by far the least competitive of all the years. Carrie was the obvious winner from day one of the show. She was by far the most pushed by the judges and rightfully so, because she was by far the best singer on the show and easily one of the best in the show's history. There was no question what-so-ever who was winning this and was all about corrinating Carrie. Blake and Jordin - I won't rank this one yet, as it has not happened and I don't think you can judge fairly until after the performances. If they both nail all of their performances, I could easily see it being as high as number 2 since I think either could easily win it. If they both do ok then I see it ending up on either side of the Taylor-McPhee season. And if someone bombs, and I think this is a strong possibility, it could end up on the downside of Fantasia-DeGarmo. I'm definately looking forward to the performances tonight though. I think these are the two with the most interesting possibilities as far as performances. Before performances, I'm leaning slightly towards Blake winning.

Eh, I think it's fairly obvious that this was easily the worst season of 24. And this finale did nothing to really help it. That being said, this season definately had its moments and left we with hope that it can return to greatness next season. I did really enjoy the ending though. I thought the confrontation between Jack and Heller was fantastic. Jack finally had a "what about me?" moment. And I liked the moment between Jack and Audrey as well. I've always enjoyed the relationship bewteen them and thought Audrey brought a big boost to the show from season 4 on. And I think Kim Raver is so good in the role, and have never understood why so much criticism is leveled at her. As for Jack's tender moment at her bed side tonight, it was perfect. It is completely understandable why he feels so deeply for her. Over the course of the last few years, everyone he loved has either died or abandoned him. But not Audrey. She risked her life and was captured and tortured by the Chinese all to try and get Jack back. No one else fought for him like that. Not Chloe. Not his father-figure Heller. Not Bill B. Not the President whose life he personally saved. As for the very ending with Jack gazing off into the sunrise, I thought it worked too. In addition to it working for what he had just done with Audrey, leaving him to ponder "what do I do now?" I was glad they went with a less eventful ending like they did with season 3.

Is Logan dead? Because I sure have been wondering about that....

Just wanted to say I loved Blake's performance as well. And I agree with Mik that it was not only great, but up there with the best performances in the show's history. Very original, and very well done.

That's very nice, but that is surrounded by two guys pretending to be gay in order to save their pensions. And of course the kicker, Rob Schneider playing what appears to be an Asian Rabbi....

God help us all if "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry" makes over $100 million. I have no doubt it will make money, but 100+ million? I would weep yet again for humanity.

I'm definately watching tonight. Why wouldn't you watch? If you'll watch the wannabes perform every week, why wouldn't you watch ACTUAL stars perform?

TSM TV Badass Tournament: The Finals

I count 12-11 in favor of Jack. Are you sure you didn't count some people twice? There are many multiple posts by people in this thread expressing their votes. -
Why the hell does the NFL have the rematch of the NFC title game scheduled for the last week of the season? It is more than likely that one or both of them will have nothing to play for. Why waste a big time match-up like that? That's the thing that stood out the most to me.

After last night's beatdown of an entire terrorist cell by himself, is there ANY doubt that the answer is Bauer??? JACK BAUER. -
Yes, no doubt "Damn, Jack" needed to be said. We've all thought it, and finally someone said it.

Yeah, they had better fill us in on this ASAP. I need to know what happened to my former President damn it!
-
I really liked tonight's episode. They kept swerving us big time until it lead up to the ultimate swerve of the President just doing what the VP wanted to do anyway. This season has gotten SO much better after its slow start (minus the nuke of course).

If something involves Mae I want to hear it.
-
Well, let me just say that I was hoping Wayne Palmer died...
-
I don't know how it was handled originally, but there are huge "CENSORED" used whenever Mae is.... um... revealing. You don't see anything thankfully. On the original broadcast, they put big red censor x's up the second she started stripping, but when Moolah covers her up and she "busts" out again I guess they weren't expecting it and you saw her uncersored for about a second before the big red x's reappeared. I was laughing so hard I was choking. One of my favorite comedy moments in wrestling history.

Something I've been wondering. How did they handle the infamous Mae Young incident? Is it exactly the same or did they edit some of it out?
-
Well I'm sure I'm just about the only one, but I hope that Audrey is not dead AND not evil. I've always liked the character, the actress that plays her, and the way the character interacts and affects Jack. As for line of the night, I literally laughed out loud and almosted choked at: Karen - "Did someone push you down some stairs?" Tom - "No Karen, I tripped over your ineptitude..."
-
ESPN is reporting that the Bucs are talking to Charles Grant today. Do any Tampa fans know if there is actual interest there? I would hate to lose him, but for two first round pics including #4 overall this year, I think I could get over it.

That does bring up a good question though, what would everyone say IS the most shocking moment in 24's history? It may be way too fresh in my mind still, but I must admit I NEVER saw the nuke going off earlier this season coming. I'm so used to Jack and company stopping everything at the last moment that I just assumed they'd do it again. Throw in Curtis getting shot in the neck by Jack and my jaw was on the floor. As for tonight's ep, now that Palmer's sister and Jack's sister-in-law are out of the way I feel we are getting back to the 24 goodness. I HATED those storylines and glad to see them gone and the show picking up major steam with them pushed aside. Oh and it was good to see Martha more whacked out than ever...
