I also find myself liking X-Men as of late. It certainly is the most readable it's been in I don't know how long, as I felt it was by far the weakest of the X-Titles compared to the other two core titles. It hasn't returned to its former glory under Morrison and such but it has been quite enjoyable under Carey and Bachalo.

Thats funny, because the last 2 parts were good better than the previous two. Still more like the way all the house of M stuff were spin-offs, that has nothing to do with the main plot. I agree that YA/Runaways ended better than how it started out, but I still wasn't quite satisfied with the whole series, although I do like the regular YA and am looking forward to it coming back to their schedule. And having never read the Marvel Boy series I was quite baffled at how powerful this dude is, or at least how powerful he was depicted on this mini.

Too bad for the Hot Rod. Good luck, Roddy. Hopefully you come out the winner on this one.

WON News + Notes, 27 November 2006
pochorenella replied to The Decemberists's topic in The WWE Folder
Edge and Orton are facing the Hardyz tonight on RAW for the Titles. -
From PWInsider.com, here are the quarter hours: I'm not sure exactly which q/h belongs to the Hardyz but you can come to your own conclusion.

Then how the hell is TNA supposed to make a profit paying shitloads of money just to make wrestlers jump ship, with sub-par TV ratings (which would cause poor ad revenue, I'm not sure about this point), no house shows, no attendance income (they don't charge for most/all tapings or PPVs), and buyrates in the 40-50,000 range? I don't think they have the deep pockets WCW had back in the day to afford that kind of expenses with so little income just to make guys bolt from WWE. They'll never get out of the red that way.
-
It's likely that the Hardy Boyz reunion also helped boost the rating, along the show being live.

The Hardyz (with Lita) have been known as Team eXtreme since 2000 at least, if not earlier. Weird you don't remember that since it was mentioned all over the place when they were at their peak.

Here are official dates of release for several of WWE's 2007 dvds, from 411mania.com: Edit: I thought the original post didn't have the release dates so I posted this one. My mistake.

Head over to 411mania.com and look for "The Piledriver Report" articles. The guy who wrote them had a pretty nice summary of the steroid trial, including people who testified. It's in several parts so you might have to do a little searching but it's all there.

US Title match for Survivor Series according to WWE.com. Benoit defends against Chavo Guerrero.

Terrific trailer. Hopefully that Uncle Ben twist is just a storyline and not an official movie-continuity change. Other than that can't wait for opening day.
-
Edit: Beat by tpww7 and barron.

My sentiments exactly. Like someone else on this thread said, it is a throwback to SurSeries past with teams of people not necessarily with something in common. I like it, and hopefully there's another SS style match at least to go along with the rumored

Well, everyone who was worried about how they would fill 2 discs worth of New ECW should be relieved now. IMO, aside from the already-released ONS PPV stuff I think this is another worthy addition to the ECW dvd releases. Other than Dreamer vs Lee and Sandman vs Sabu everything on disc 1 is brand-new to me. Specially looking forward to the Tanaka vs Awesome match. Another buy for me.
-
Correct me if I'm wrong but I remember that from SmackDown!, not from RAW. I have that on tape somewhere, I'll try and look it up.

Somebody already posted the match listing a couple of weeks back. It's either back a few pages on this very thread or listed in the Comments which don't warrant a thread one.

1000 Reasons why Late Night with Conan O'Brien
pochorenella replied to The Mandarin's topic in Television & Film
302. Late Night with Conan O'Brien on "SkeleVision". Conan, the Max Weinberg Seven, the guests, and even the audience were all skeletons for this Halloween special. I just couldn't stop laughing, specially during the monologue and the "In the Year 2000" bit. Conan is truly a pioneer. Note to Jericholic82: Connzilla already did #300, so yours should be #301. -
I remember a few months back they had a poll on WWE.com where they had a list of possible dvd releases that fans could vote on. Pretty much everything they had listed is to be released on 2007 EXCEPT the SNME one, which I voted for, but sadly is not in the works (yet.) The Ladder Matches set is potentially another great one. I know a bunch of people will complain (me included) that the Bret vs HBK match won't be included (the preview text pretty much guarantees that) but there are a few other great, forgotten matches that have yet to see the light on dvd like Razor vs HBK II, E&C vs Hardys from RAW(first ladder match on TNN), RVD vs Y2J from RAW, among others I wouldn't mind watch again on dvd like the first Hardys vs E&C match or Eddie vs RVD, and maybe they could bend the rules little bit and include a couple of TLC matches as well. I do agree that a 3-disc set for the New D-X is a bit much. Maybe they'll include some older, original D-X footage as well. Cena and Rey were previously only single-disc releases, so I don't mind multi-disc sets for either, although I might only get the Rey one depending on the match listing. The new Austin set is a no-brainer for me, along with the Horsemen one. And regarding the upcoming Extreme Rules ECW dvd, there are several matches from the New ECW that could be included like the Show vs Flair one, or the more recent RVD vs Holly. Not sure if they could fill 2 discs worth of the New ECW but they could probably include some original ECW stuff previously unseen on dvd and we could see another great set.

Dear God, there's some awesome selections there.

Thomas Haden Church cast as villain for Spider-Man
pochorenella replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in Television & Film
BUMP. Found these at beyondhollywood.com. A peek at "Spider-Man 3"'s Venom, his actual face and you can somewhat make out his body. -
Carlito won a squash last week and this week he teamed with Jeff in a losing effort to Masters and Benjamin. There was miscommunication between the faces and a brawl between all of them to set up the IC Title match for Cyber Sunday. The choices are Carlito, Benjamin, and Nitro.

Its too bad they couldn't get some of his Japanese matches, especially against Inoki. There's a review on amazon.com from a guy that says he bought Hogan's dvd from WWEShop and the fourth disc was Hogan Knows Best episodes and not the matches disc. It's listed as such on their site but somebody earlier on this thread said it was a mistake. Can somebody by any chance confirm which 4th disc WWEShop is really giving?

Are these typo's or is Kurt so high he actually thinks we'll believe he hasn't touched a painkiller in 3 years? This was already addressed on the TNA Forum, but since it was posted again here, from 411mania.com:
