I think this is a terrible dvd cover. From Silvervision:
-
I've downloaded a few, mostly non-WWF/E since I have pretty much whatever you've posted. And except for the RWT match I've had no problems with everything else. Thanks and keep up the good work.
-
I certainly hope this is a mistake. If not then I'm not buying this dvd.
-
Adding to the rumour mill, along with Terrence Howard being mentioned for the Jim Rhodes part, now Famke Janssen is also being mentioned as Tony Stark's love interest. Could she be The Big M/Madame Masque?
-
Those are pretty good choices for the role of Mandarin. Have to remember that whomever they choose has to be able to bring the kung-fu action, as Mandarin is a martial arts master. Hopefully they show this side as well.

Are those the same matches that are included, respectively, on the Shawn Michaels: From the Vault and Greatest Stars of the 80s DVDs? Nothing of much interest on my part for this dvd. Pass.

It was merely ok, IMO. They tried to somewhat ground Peter/Spidey more into reality as he faced more difficult decisions when his enemies resorted to more extreme behaviors. IIRC Eddie Brock didn't die from the cancer, rather he slit his wrists and they said he "probably wouldn't last the night." If he did indeed survive after that I have no idea so if anyone knows please post it here. The symbiote then bonded to Gargan/Scorpion with no other explanation that he wanted to be a big-time villain. Sorry if it came out that way. Of course Reed didn't put a gun to their heads and forced them to go, but the fact remains that he somewhat knew what would happen to them and he didn't tell them (I believe this was a storyline years ago), so basically they were guinea pigs to him. That, my friend, is disturbing behavior. Then again, he's a scientist, so he probably feels it's within his rights in the name of science.

I think they might do a variation of it at least...
-
Weird choice IMO. The guy's a fine actor when he puts his mind to it, hopefully he can pull off the role of Tony Stark. BTW, I saw some of the rejected armor models they were developing and they looked fine so they might be on the right track at least armor-wise.

Well, the match listing at wwe.com looks like this... Booker v Lashley Kennedy v Taker Rey v Chavo (falls count anywhere) Batista v Finlay Helms v Hardy MVP debut You can add a London/Kendrick tag title defense for sure. There's contradicting reports over who won the #1 contenders match but with Kid Kash gone I'm sure it'll be Stevens & James facing the champs.

"Rainbow in the Dark" is one awesome motherfucking song.

Now that's a more accurate description. The Ultimates are awesome, and Ultimate Spidey is terrific most of the time. Other than the delays there's no complaints on my part. About Reed Richards having more scruples, remember he carelessly took his girlfriend, her kid brother and his best friend to an unprotected and unsafe space trip where he knew there would be consecuences and he did it regardless. If that's not a sign that he can be extreme if needed then I don't know what is. And regarding Spidey switching sides on Civil War, I believe it's only a matter of time before that happens.

"No chance, zero out of ten chance." Way to channel Chris Jericho there.

It sure is. The 1 year anniversary of RAW returning to the USA Network.

Yes, Lushus, that was the one. Thanks to Sex Machine Gun for the transcript. -
One and Only Star Wars Geekiness Thread

I need a little help from my fellow Star Wars geeks, as I lent my dvds to a cousin of mine so I can't look directly for the info I need: I'd like a transcript of the Yoda monologue from Empire Strikes Back, the one he gives to Luke after he fails to pull the X-Wing from the swamp. It goes someting like "Judge me by my size, do you? As well you should not, for my ally is The Force, and a powerful ally it is." It may start with some other lines or something, and ends right before Luke says "You ask for the impossible." Yes, yes, I know, shame on me for not knowing those lines by heart. Any help would be greatly appreciated. -
Hulk Hogan's new dvd "The Ultimate Anthology" coming out on October 17th will also be available as a 4-disc set on wweshop.com. Previous reports said that only Wal-Mart would have the 4-disc version and other retailers would have the regular 3-disc version.

Was that the one he used on SummerSlam 92? It looked quite different, true, but that's the only time I've ever seen him wearing it. I do recall Steve Austin using the white boots very early with his "Stone Cold" persona. I saw some pics from MSG back in 1996 when they got him wrestling with Steve Lombardi and he had the white boots.

My picks: Cena D-X Trish Nitro Highlanders Carlito UUUUMAAGAA

Awesome. But the overrun was the highest-rated with a 4.0. Go figure.

Yes, it comes out on the 26th. Here's to hoping that Brian Pillman's DVD will totally out-sell Vince McMahon's DVD. That will make me smile. sweet, hope we get some in at CC (we should as we have been getting all the dvds lately)Actually I doubt we have sold any of the Mcmahon dvds as there are a ton of them still here. The McMahon DVD has been the Top-selling sports dvd on Billboard for the past couple of weeks.

Yes, that was terrible. Luger winning was no doubt fixed. As opposed to their other awards, which are all legitimate, right? Well, I wouldn't go so far as to say that, I was just stating my opinion. Ric Flair winning so many WOTY awards back in the 80's over Hulk Hogan was clearly a sign of fixed results IMO, because they were during the height of Hulkamania, so to speak. It could very well be PWI's clear bias over WCW. Hell, The Giant winning WOTY over Shawn Michaels back in 1996 had me angry like you wouldn't believe. But I could see where some results could've been legitimate.

How reliable is Amazon for ordering and shipping?
pochorenella replied to brokentusk16's topic in Technology
So I'd be better off ordering used stuff from Amazon that EBay? I still just pay Amazon though, right? That's right. Even if that individual seller rips you off (which is possible but unlikely) Amazon still responds as if they sold the item themselves and give you full guarantee. I couldn't be happier with Amazon's shipping service. If something doesn't get to you within reasonable time they send another item completely free of charge. And I would know because it's happened to me a couple of times and I ended up getting two of the same.
