    Cryme Time... Opinions???

I found it pretty funny. Of course I'll have to check all the subsequent skits to make a final decision but for the time being I liked it.

    WWE announces 2006 DVDs

10-15 seconds at most I would say. So the Backlund vs Diesel Title match is shown in its entirety? Yes!!

    ECW renewed on Sci-Fi

No, they're not. They've been pretty much steady during the whole run. The first week did the biggest rating yet but every other week has scored in the 2.2 - 2.4 range. This week's decline was expected as it's been explained in previous posts. I don't know where you're getting this week-to-week decline from.

    US Open Thread.

Really outstanding match. I was really worried that Andre was losing after blowing his 4-0 lead on the fourth and down a break on the fifth. I was glued to the fucking TV and that final set was really something to remember. Kudos to Baghdatis who came back from the brink of defeat and fought thru cramps and all to make a most thrilling second-round match. Now Andre's got a shitty road to go, but hopefully he can get thru that Becker dude (never heard of him but he beat Grosjean) to face Roddick on the fourth round and give us another match to remember.

    Recommend A Song

I liked this song. May I recommend "Blue" by The Jayhawks, from the album Tomorrow The Green Grass.

    WWF Observer notes

    Awesome reading. Thanks, dude.
  8. More specifically, Season 2 was pretty good. The first one sucked ass. But of course, none can compare to the 60's Hanna-Barbera F4 cartoon.

    The Old School questions thread

I'm pretty shure he says "I told you not to mess with Mother Nature! Whoo!" Feel free to correct me if I'm mistaken.
  12. It's been revealed that Iron Fist was impersonating Daredevil while Matt Murdock was in jail.

The Real World - Key West

The last episode I saw was the one with the trip to Spain, so I don't know how the season ended. That Tyler bitch has nothing to complain about, if what I saw about him on the show (even if edited) is any indication. Paula was so fucked up I'm not surprised she's had troubles with the law. As far as Fitz goes, I really just watched to see if she'd do any crazy sexual stuff or something like that. I'd bang her like there was no tomorrow. Those breasts, my God.

    McMahon DVD

I read somewhere (possibly 411mania) that he DID try Owen's harness beforehand.

    WWE announces 2006 DVDs

Taken from 411wrestling (by way of the Observer), info on the extra 4th disc for the Hogan Anthology which will be exclusive to Wal-Mart in the US and the UK and Europe. Also matchlisting for Piper's DVD:

    Your Wrestlemania Card

I really like Hawk 34's card, it looks realistic enough to work. KOAB's is pretty good too.
  17. I agree with everything in your post except the Hogan vs Orton match. I really, really hope they come to their senses and not make Orton job to a broken-down, can-barely-walk Hogan. I don't really see either Foley or Flair actually saying "I Quit" so that's gonna be quite interesting.

Comments which don't warrant a thread

So the widely-hated Diva Search scores more than twice the ratings numbers than TNA Impact? Gotcha.

    The Old School questions thread

They used to in WWE, but after Madusa dumped her title belt in the bin on a live Nitro, they got paranoid about it happening again and so the belt stays with someone else, usually a road agent, in between events. They can still get lost from time to time, though. Wow, I didn't know that. I thought (in WWE/F at least) they took it home because I've read many interviews were wrestlers talked about having the belt at home. I specifically remember Austin talking about that, although that could've been an exception at the time.

For a comic published in the late 70s, the story had balls the size of church bells. It hasn't withstood the test of time because its been ripped off so many times since then. I disagree with you stating that the Dark Phoenix saga hasn't withstood the test of time. IMO it is one of the very best comic-book stories ever, let alone one of the best X-Men stories. It always excites me whenever I read it again.

    Favorite Smipsons Couch Scene

HIPS, not but!! Does anybody know who everyone else is dressed up as? Homer is Ultraman, Marge is someone from Gatchaman?, Maggie is Pikachu from Pokemon and Lisa looks to possibly be from Pretty Soldier. That seems about right, although from memory Lisa seems to be a Sailor Scout from Sailor Moon. Marge is Princess from Gatchaman (G-Force, Battle of the Planets.)

MTV ranks the Greatest Metal Bands...

I grew up on all those bands, and except for Slayer and Pantera, they remain favorites of mine to this very day. Not a bad list IMO, MTV certainly could've made a totally shit list but they didn't and that's refreshing. I'm not bothered with them calling KISS, AC/DC or the Crue "metal", but like Corey Lazarus says, the first two are top-notch bands that influenced a whole rockin' generation, and the Crue were the "it" rock band of the 80's so it's all good.

Well that's not true because I'm pretty sure the Christmas Special came out in the 70's. The animated feature with Boba Fett ruled, so that pushes the Christmas Special to non-suck territory.
