I believe Benoit got several falls over Triple H via pinfall or submission on their RAW Iron Man match back in 2004. The final fall wasn't clean IIRC but the ones before I think were.

Well, for lower villains there's Livewire and Parasite. Toyman to an EXTREME if you're desperate. And for a super-big bad...Darkseid. Live action Darkseid....now THERE'S something I wanna see. Sorry to go on a tangent here, but I really hate when fans place Darkseid as a "Superman Rouge" along with Luthor, Toyman, Prankster, etc. Darkseid is not a Superman Rouge. That's like saying Dr. Doom is an Iron Man villain. Yes, they've clashed several times but Dr. Doom is a Fantastic Four villain first and foremost. Darkseid is a New Gods character and antagonist/father to Orion. So Supes and Darkseid have clashed before, specially on the very good cartoon episodes, but he doesn't belong in Supes' Rouges Gallery. End of Rant.

First let me address that it doesn't seem fair for Spidey to have to go against two of the best in Marvel or DC. Now, if Spidey goes all out then with his spider-strenght he could fracture each opponent's jaw with a single punch, but knowing Batman and Cap they would both go for pressure points and strategically-placed blows to subdue Peter. Spider-Man's speed is the stuff of legend but it's uncertain how long he'd be able to avoid both men's offense, given that all of them have long-range attacks. Peter's legendary banter would be largely ignored by Bats and too well-known for Cap to have any distracting effect on him. Bah, I seem to be overanalyzing. It's 2 against 1, with the first two possibly the greatest fighters/tacticians on either universe. Poor Spidey.

What match would that be? I assume he's referring to the Lesnar vs Benoit WWE title match on SD! back in December 03 where Brock won with his "Brock-Lock" after injuring Benoit's leg with a chair. Although a great match, I wouldn't exactly call it one of the best matches of all time.

I remember it was reported at the time, and Jericho himself veryfied it several times on different interviews. He said that he had Goldberg in a headlock or something that he wasn't able to escape from, so essentially he humilliated him. I haven't heard Goldberg's version of the facts, though, or if there were any to begin with.

Benoit's move to RAW opened the door for Eddie to get a WWE Title shot and eventually a Title win against Lesnar, and the ensuing matches he had with Lesnar himself, Angle, Rey, and JBL were in the very good/great category, so that's a plus. His reign only cut short because of all the stress of carrying SD! on his shoulders made him request himself to drop the strap. Who knows when Eddie would've had another chance at the Title if Benoit wasn't traded.

My best guess on this Rey Misterio thing is that they're trying now to get away from all the "Eddie Guerrero Tribute" stuff of his storyline - from his Rumble win up until Mania - and try to focus on what he can do best, which is look like more of a gutsy guy that can overcome the odds, come from behind and somehow find a way to win, with more heart and determination than anything else. Although it's not a good thing to watch the World Champ being squashed by the likes of Mark Henry or Khali, I think JBL is actually doing a good job playing the overconfident heel that thinks his win is inminent. JBL can win the Title at a later date if WWE so desires, but for Judgment Day I think Rey gets the win now, whereas all previous signs and reports pointed to a sure-fire JBL win. Rey should come out looking better as a champ here, rallying the people behind him based on his own work instead, without all the Eddie stuff.

Not that I'm trying to defend Wizard magazine with this list or anything, but I remember they also took in account some other stuff additional to the stories themselves. IIRC, USM vol.1 is actually the hardcover edition that includes issues 1 thru 12 and also has a few extras like art sketches and some other stuff. Also, just my opinion, but no way Kingdom Come is better than Marvels. Art-wise maybe. Story-wise? No fucking way.

Yet you post like 20 times on on said silly thread. Wonderful. I'm excited for the WWE product right now because it seems uncertain but in a rather good way. It has that "anything can happen" vibe that WWE proclaims so much, but now it's actually true in the good sense because there are many wonderful possibilities with everything that's happening. The ECW revival could mean great things if it's handled the right way and by the right people. Of course, WWE's track record is not the greatest when it comes to "Invasions" or things of the like, but I'm willing to give them a chance. The teased DX reunion is an added bonus. The live crowds seem to be liking this, and if it means a couple of new guys get the rub a-la Evolution then fine by me. Why people need to shit on everything WWE does without even letting them do it in the first place is just beyond me, but whatever makes your day.

I really love the SE Trilogy, but then again, these are the original movies. Right now it is pass for me, but that could change if I have some extra cash around release date.

That's exactly what I'm asking for. Having past stars is needed to jumpstart the promotion, but it absolutely needs to create new ones if they want to survive long-term.
