Details On WrestleMania 22 3-Disc DVD Set
pochorenella replied to QuestionMan's topic in The WWE Folder
Even better then. Now I have to just wait and see what WWEShopzone comes up with as combo offers for the DVD set to decide which place to order from. Usually for just a couple of extra bucks you get either a T-shirt or a program/magazine at the shopzone. -

Viscera, unfortunately. It'll be something like $25 if you pre-order thru the usual sites like amazon, etc. At WWEShopzone they might even throw some extra goodies as usual when you buy the DVD. -

Mother-fricking sweet!! This will be mine on release day. I echo those sentiments. -
Any love for the Top Gun Soundtrack? I remember back in the day me and my pals used to race our (parents-borrowed) cars to the tunes of "Danger Zone." Whenever I play or watch some beach volleyball I'm always reminded of the song "Playing with the Boys" like that scene in the movie. "Take My Breath Away" still does the trick with the girls, and last but not least, the awesome "Top Gun Anthem" with Steve Stevens doing some amazing guitar work.

I like both bands, Foreigner more than Kansas, but "Dust in the Wind" is one of my all-time favorite songs. Kansas I've only followed thru their greatest hits album ("Point of Know Return" and "Carry On Wayward Son" are faves) and as a matter of fact I liked their late-80s release Power, which had the mushy "All I Wanted" and the underrated "Can't Cry Anymore" and "Power". Foreigner I'm more familiar with. "Waiting For a Girl Like You" is a must for those tapes/CDs you make for those special ladies, and it's also a favorite of mine along with "Urgent" and "Feels Like the First Time." I also have a soft spot for "That Was Yesterday" and of course "I Want To Know What Love Is." And kudos to Lou Gramm who managed to have a somewhat decent solo career with terrific songs like "Midnight Blue."

Hopefully, wether they keep the belt on Gunnar (Albright) or not, they keep those two on TV for a feud.

That should give Impact the steady 1.0+ ratings it needs.

Don't know if I'll vote but from what I've seen here are my choices anyway: BEST MOVIE "Sin City" (Dimension Films) MTV should have placed "Episode III as a sixth choice at least BEST PERFORMANCE Steve Carell - "The 40-Year Old Virgin" (Universal Pictures) BEST COMEDIC PERFORMANCE Steve Carell - "The 40-Year Old Virgin" (Universal Pictures) BEST ON-SCREEN TEAM Vince Vaughn & Owen Wilson -- "Wedding Crashers" (New Line Cinema) BEST VILLAIN Hayden Christensen -- "Star Wars: Episode III -- Revenge of the Sith" (20th Century Fox) BREAKTHROUGH PERFORMANCE Romany Malco -- "The 40-Year Old Virgin" (Universal Pictures) BEST HERO Ewan McGregor -- "Star Wars: Episode III -- Revenge of the Sith" (20th Century Fox) Obi-Wan owns all your asses. Only to befall the same fate as the JL cartoon, ending all of a sudden with no explanation? Come to think of it, both BTAS and Batman Beyond also ended way before they should have. It's like Timm has the magic touch, only for the series to end abruptly every time.

George Perez is insane. And there's something really odd for me about seeing frickin' Aquaman punching Bane.
-
I attended the Supershow in Orlando right after this year's Rumble. If I'm not mistaken the tix cost pretty much the same as any other taping, but if not, they shouldn't be that much higher than a regular RAW/SD.

A nice little movie that I enjoyed more than I thought I would. With all the criticism over the voicing and the fact that it should/shouldn't follow the comic book exactly I was expecting very little but was somewhat optimistic still. Like I said, I ended up liking it quite a bit. Hopefully the sequel with the Ultimate Avengers going to Wakanda and meeting the (Bryan Hitch-version) Black Panther is also good.

I'm not sure this is worth its own thread.

Is that a Tag Title belt?
-
The obvious answer would be Bret vs Owen from WMX. And I like your choices from SummerSlam 2002 and Rumble 91. Great matches indeed.
-
- Taken from 411 Oh joy. They sure do love handicap main events on Raw, though. Or Shane can just lie on his stomach on the mat, order the ref to count and Shane can claim he pinned God to win the match. It's flawless! Update from WWE.com: I bet Shane feels relieved now.
-
Are you just mentioning that particular match because it was good? Because that match wasn't from 2006. It may not even be from 2005, as Lita lost the Women's Title back to Trish at NYR2005 which was early January and the RAW match was a couple of weeks before at least.

What DVDs would you like to see the WWE release?
pochorenella replied to iggymcfly's topic in The WWE Folder
Terrific suggestion. Add to that some WWF/WWE Light Heavyweight matches like Sasuke vs TAKA (both matches) and Malenko vs Scotty 2 Hottie from Backlash and I'm first in line to buy it. -
Tom Cruise's latest announcement
pochorenella replied to River City Rocker's topic in Television & Film
Too bad they weren't twins, he could have named the other one Tom. And didn't some celeb name thier kid Moondoggy, or Moon-something? Franks Zappa's daughter is named Moon Unit. She was already mentioned on this thread. Zappa's son is named Dweezil. Go figure. -
Tom Cruise's latest announcement
pochorenella replied to River City Rocker's topic in Television & Film
Actually, I think Sofia Vergara has all of those women beat. Tom Cruise dated her for a while before he hooked up with Katie Holmes. Penelope Cruz does nothing for me, and I've seen her in many films back to her Almodovar spanish movies were she's naked. Nicole Kidman would be perfect if you could freeze time and she'd get stuck in her "Batman Forever" looks, but now all that botox or whatever shit they put on the face is making her no favors. Mimi I'd use just to get myself lost on those gigantic and legenday mammaries of hers. Katie Holmes is beautiful but she's no Sofia Vergara. -
The OAO Raw Thread for 4/17/06
pochorenella replied to Open the Muggy Gate's topic in The WWE Folder
The ratings continue to be very decent, specially the second hour seems to be garnering interest lately, possibly for the 3-way feud for the WWE Title. And AM RAW, after being disregarded as a waste of time, continues to amaze with numbers that match, or sometimes surpass, TNA Impact. -

I don't know why Angle vs UT II (from SD!) gets no love around these parts. Other than the Henry run-in (which EVERYBODY expected would happen at NWO but happened here instead), the in-ring work was top notch, maybe as good as the NWO match. In my opinion, yes, the PPV match is the better one, but the free-TV rematch isn't that much of a step down. Rey vs Finlay is pretty good too, it got good time on TV and the RKO from Orton at the end was extremely cool. Good choice but will it hold up til year's end? And from the Mania22 card, the usual suspects hog all the praise (MITBII, Foley vs Edge, Women's Title match), but from the "Better Than It Had Any Right To Be" department, the Cena vs HHH match had unbelievable heat, great work from Hunter and Cena holding his end, so I wouldn't dismiss it so quickly. Ditto for the criminally short but excellent World Title 3-way. Action-packed from beggining to end, imagine what they'd have accomplished with at least 5 more minutes. I haven't seen either Benoit vs Orton match, nor JBL vs Benoit in the cage.
