As retired Senior Citizens don't they get Social Security thus lessening the burden on yourself? That would be so if any of them had a half-way decent pension. As it stands now, where I come from Social Security absolutely sucks at all possible levels, so it's not that much of a help. Hopefully that's the last I have to say on this particular subject. Point taken. We don't know the exact set of circumstances that ocurred at that time, but if you take such a decision as to walk out of your job then you have to be ready to face the consequences. I'm not even going to imply that Vince is a lenient boss or anything like that, but I'm sure many bosses would not take lightly that an employee abandons work without justification.

What do you mean I have no idea where Mick's coming from? Both my parents are retired senior citizens that I have to provide for, so I do know about the subject somewhat as they both depend on me. So I assume you have no problem with sexual harassment or abuse of power or the like within your working environment as long as it's not directed towards you. Gotcha.

What DVDs would you like to see the WWE release?
pochorenella replied to iggymcfly's topic in The WWE Folder
Here is the link where you can vote which matches they'll include on the DVD set for a September release. They give a list of matches for each decade from the 70s to the 2000s and you have to pick 5 from each decade. Pretty cool, IMO. -
What DVDs would you like to see the WWE release?
pochorenella replied to iggymcfly's topic in The WWE Folder
I remember there were rumours about such a release a while back but I'm not sure if true or not. I'd love to see one, especially if it included the original HBK vs Bret match and the E&C vs Hardyz Tag Title match from the very first TNN RAW. On WWE.com there've been various polls about upcoming DVD releases and from what I can infer they're possibly planning for a new John Cena DVD, Best of Saturday Night's Main Event, and a Best of Starrcade DVD. -
You're also missing the "Tribute to the Troops" dvd, which is the second (third?) visit the WWE did to the soldiers overseas. It has Kurt Angle on the cover walking the isle with the soldiers around him. I also collect most of the WWE dvd releases but I've never heard about NWO2001 being released on that format. I think it's probably a mistake or a UK release from Silvervision probably. I'd kill for that show on DVD, though.

And, out of curiosity, how many mouths do you have to feed? It's me and both my parents.
-
You can call it that if you want, but it would have to be an extreme set of circumstances that would make me feel differently. It's not like it's never been done before.

I love and admire Mick Foley with all my heart, but he walked out and then came back, didn't he? Michaels does sound like a prick by saying it like that, I won't question that, but you make it sound as if there were absolutely no other jobs available to Foley at the time and that they would've gone homeless. I'm sure Mick could've found options in the indies, ECW, Japan, or maybe even WCW, so don't be so melodramatic. And I don't know about anybody else, but faced with a moral issue over staying at my job and compromising my principles or leaving and keeping my morals intact I would choose my morals all the way, and it's not like I'm sleeping on a matress filled with money or anything. You deal with the choices you make and deal with the consequences too.

I don't get the reasoning for this.

Jeff got extremely sloppy and less crisp in the ring in quite a hurry somewhere between his last Hardcore Title and European Title. He looked unmotivated and careless so I don't think he would've gotten the Title. I would have considered it during his red-hot period, like when he was IC Champ, but the way he's wrestling right now? Not a chance.
-
Maybe Rey wouldn't have the title RIGHT NOW, but there's no doubt in my mind he would've gotten it down the line.

I agree that pretty much all their studio albums have great stuff, possibly except Coda which I've never heard to tell the truth. If I have to choose a favorite at this time I'll go with Led Zeppelin II.

I was partial to "Moment of Truth" myself from that same movie. Was "The Best Around" also performed by Survivor?

The OAO RAW thread for April 10, 2006
pochorenella replied to Open the Muggy Gate's topic in The WWE Folder
Bit more info on RAW ratings as well as RAW AM: Funny that in the week that TNA Impact scores "record numbers" on Saturday with a 1.0 even AM RAW manages to trump that rating with a 1.1 -
Thanks for explaining, ZGangsta.

Is Christian ever wrestling again on Impact? Or is there some clause in his contract that says he'll only wrestle on TV when it's a PPV?
-
Right, ok. I remember that song from Orton's match vs Super Crazy on SD! a few weeks ago but it's never been used again. They advertised it for the new WWE CD, though.
-
You're joking, right? This'll be like the 10th remix/new version of Kane's theme since he debuted.

New Years Revolution 2006 Extras: - Mickie James approaches Trish Stratus leaving the Arena. This ends up with Moolah and Mae Young greeting Mickie with a mistletoe in hand. You can figure the rest. Kinda funny. - Kurt Angle and Daivari react to the finish of the Elimination Chamber Match. Of course Angle is pissed. Not much to this. - Carlito reacts to the Finish of the Elimination Chamber Match. Pretty much same as above. - Todd Grisham interviews Edge and Lita. This was shown on RAW IIRC. This is where Edge announces he and Lita will have sex live on RAW the next night.
-
Great read, thanks a bunch.

I know Jason Todd's been back for some time, but since I haven't read Batman in quite a while an explanation for the resurrection would be highly appreciated.

His Flash outfit from WMXX was the best I've seen.

Poch, as a fellow SW geek, you dissappoint me! ESB clearly had the best soundtrack...the meteor field chase score is fantastic! Don't say that, Lushus, please! Don't get me wrong, I also own the ESB soundtrack, and it has the mighty "Imperial March" (or "Darth Vader's Theme", whatever you wanna call it) that I love so much, but I had to go with ANH because it's the original one. I forget the original names, but "Cantina Theme", the "Luke Skywalker's theme" (when he contemplates his uncertain future in Tatooine), the one when Luke, Han, etc. are given the medals, and so on, they're all dear and close to me. I even had them all on my cell phone! Not to mention the 20th Century Fox Fanfare along with "Star Wars Theme" STILL gives me the chills each time I listen to it. I even relate that Fanfare to SW every time I watch it in any movie at the theater or on DVD. Sorry, didn't want to turn this into another Star Wars geekiness thread.
