I agree. Damn good album. I second the love for Purple Rain and also add the Soundtrack for Star Wars IV: A New Hope.

The OAO '2006 Hall of Fame ceremony' thread.

And more interesting enough, Triple H (another big player behind the Montreal screwjob and a person Bret has gone on record as calling a "piece of shit") will also be in the front row. Bret Hart has already said he'd "tolerate" Triple H, Hogan, and Flair at the Ceremony. He just won't interact with them. -
The OAO '2006 Hall of Fame ceremony' thread.

*sigh* It begins.... Lots of people call HHH, Orton, or Cena names around here and I get flack for this? And by the way, I'm not derailing this thread into anything. The pointless Bret/HBK discussion is going on fine elsewhere here, thank you very much. -
There's new updated info from PWInsider.com.

So if that HOF graphic is any indication, does that mean Bret Primadonna Hart is the main inductee, or are they making Eddie be the last one? -
Bret Hart confirms he will not be at WrestleMania

Expanding a bit on the quote Downhome posted above, from SI.com: I'll refrain from comments on this. -
When I think of Journey I always think about Steve Perry's awesome vocal work. To be fair, I haven't given the new vocalist a chance at all, even though I've read many reviews that actually praise him. Still, I love both bands and I've seen Leppard live once before during their "Slang" tour, but I'm not sure about going for these shows.

I never, EEEEEEVEEERRRR, listen to the english dub. Original japanese is the way to go, and if you can understand the language then spanish is an awesome alternative.

That also sounds like a one-man "Spanish Fly", which is the move that the SAT's used to do in ROH and other indies. In other words, a two-man backflip Rock Bottom from the top rope. Still, it doesn't take anything away from Burchill's C4, since his isn't done from the top rope and it looks more impressive being done by a bigger, non-cruiserweight wrestler.

And the logic behind giving away a Smackdown PPV main event, possibly one of the only ones they'll get out of Rey's probable title reign, is...? It'll be a short match with a DQ ending. *WWE World champion Kurt Angle defeated Rey Mysterio after Mysterio went for the 619 but was caught and pulled into the ring with an AnkleLock and Rey tapped. Orton hit the ring and he and Angle went at it. The show ended with Angle hitting the Angleslam and locking the Ankle Lock on Orton You were saying? This finish is mind numbingly stupid. It's standard WWE policy to fuck things up, but this takes things to a new level of stupidity. I think they wanted to show a strong World Champion in Kurt Angle heading into Mania. Lord knows that after the past few weeks of almost losing to Undertaker and being pinned by Mark Fucking Henry, Kurt needs that in the biggest way.

Bret Hart confirms he will not be at WrestleMania

I don't recall any show were Michaels mocked Bret Hart's stroke or anything. A show a do have a little recollection of is a RAW in 2003 (perhaps even in Canada) were Michaels was interviewed by Jericho on a Highlight Reel and told the crowd they should "get over it", referring to the Montreal thing. If you're talking about the show with Michaels highly-praised Montreal promo, he was doing just that: cutting a promo. That was the promo of the year IMO and I distinctly remember everyone here loving it and not calling it anything offensive towards Bret Hart. In fact, if there was any crtiticism towards Shawn at that time was that he turned back babyface all of a sudden after proving he could still be a terrific heel. -
They've been having celebrities sing "America the Beautiful" for YEARS, my friend, way before Iraq. Aretha Franklin sung it at WrestleMania III.

You can check on WWE.com and look for "Blast Areas", meaning places that regularly show WWE PPVs. You should find what you're looking for.

Bret Hart confirms he will not be at WrestleMania

We all know how trustworthy Shawn is with that. And you know this for a fact, huh? Apparently, there's always the potential for people to change for the better, except if your named Shawn Michaels. -

Bret Hart confirms he will not be at WrestleMania

Correct. Bret is acting like the HOF is only for him or something like that. And I'm sure he knows that on the last two WrestleManias the HOF inductees were presented to the live crowd so if he agreed to be inducted in the first place he had to know his presence at Mania would be expected by the fans. He doesn't have to be involved in any match or anything, just smile and wave to the crowd. Although the crowd will be clamoring for him all night, I'm sure. -
Yeah, now he realized the most important thing is continuing to be bitter and hating on Shawn Michaels. Bret Hart's legacy on wrestling is secure, without a doubt. Although I do think his WCW run hurts it somewhat, no matter what some say - it's forgettable, no one remembers it, etc. - people DO remember it, because it was terrible. We just don't WANT to remember it.

They did an adequate job with the Dark Phoeneix Saga on the cartoon. But mind you, nothing can approach the greatness of the original comic book version. NOTHING. And finally saw the trailer on the E! Channel. It looks pretty sweet. Hopefully they won't fool us and the movie will turn out great too.

Which ones are OVA's 6 and 7? So far I've only seen up until the return of Broly movie. The entire TV series I've seen about three times over, including DBGT. Gogeta was already awesome on the regular series. PD: You can't be a closet DBZ fan. Either you are a fan or you aren't.

Most forgettable stint in a promotion
pochorenella replied to King Kamala's topic in General Wrestling
I'm sure a similar thing happened on an episode of Prime Time Wrestling if memory serves. Some little kid in the audience was picked on by Busick and Wippleman before some face (may have been Bulldog) came out to save the day. I actually saw it in an old WWF magazine rather than on TV. I only ever saw photos of Busick but I remember thinking even at the time that the Busick in this cheesy skit on prime time didn't look anything like him. Still, it was a LONG time ago.......surely there weren't TWO Big Bully Busicks? I think I remember it was Bret Hart on that Prime Time wrestling show. -
Well, that settles it, then.

Got this info from PWInsider.com about WrestleMania buyrates, I assume they're on the money: Thoughts?
