    Smackdown Spoilers

As I mentioned in another thread, I certainly wouldn't mind that type of tag match or a triple threat, as long as MNM got to face any of those teams or a combo at WM22. They deserve to be there, as they've been having good/great matches with each other for a while on house shows and on TV.

    Smackdown Spoilers

That was the story back then IIRC. Now he's #1 contender for the Cruiser Title but Gregory Helms supposedly requires surgery on his broken nose which should sideline him for at least 4 weeks, so I'm at a loss as to what they have planned. Personally I was hoping for a Cruiser Title defense at Mania for Helms, or at the very least the Sunday Night Heat before Mania. London vs Helms sounds promising, but seems in serious doubt. Hopefully they'll still go for it. Indirectly this also seems to somewhat affect the WWE Tag Title picture for WM22, as London/Kendrik - along with the Mexicools - were the only reasonable choices to face MNM at Mania. It would be a shame if MNM weren't to be showcased at the big show, as they've been very visible champs on SD!, doing far more than what Kane/Show are, yet they don't have a Mania spot like the hosses do.
  3. The only other move to finish a match that rivals Malenko vs S2H is from Spring Stampede 99 when Juvy gave Blitzkieg the Juvy Driver from the top turnbuckle. Not to start an argument or anything, but Low Ki's Ki-Krusher from the top rope onto Amazing Red was pretty brutal too. But yeah, those two mentioned are awesome as well. I also give props to Malenko for that NWO2000 match, and I remember him having a pretty good, albeit short-ish, LHW Title defense against TAKA on SD!

    The Super pre-SNME Thread

Jim Ross confirmed on WWE.com that for SNME it'll be Tazz, Jerry Lawler, and himself as the broadcast team.

Most forgettable stint in a promotion

I thought I was the only one who'd remember those guys. Big Bully Busick was even scheduled to be at Survivor Series 91, but for whatever reason he was replaced by Hercules. I think I saw him a couple of times on Prime Time wrestling, one time jobbing to Kerry Von Erich. He was supposed to have this scary "Heartpunch" finisher. He sucked BIGTIME. Chris Walker I also remember a couple of times on PTW, he almost pulled the upset on the Warlord. He looked like the Ultimate Warrior but that was about it. I think he only did the C House shows or something.

    Wrestlemania....

I paid $400 for it. Does that sound right? If I went to the SC on the day of the event, I think I could have gotten cheaper seats. I paid close to that amount for WMXX tix. Money well spent if you ask me, but not something I'm willing to do very often.

    Early Raw Preview

They've been wrestling on house shows for quite a while already. And I think I read somewhere that, along with HHH vs Cena and Carlito/Masters vs Big Show/Kane, Shelton and RVD ARE scheduled to face off at Backlash, so there you go.

Comments which don't warrant a thread

I only saw it at Suncoast right when it came out, but you'd have to count on it being a Suncoast that isn't going out of business... and then it's going to be like $24.99. I'd just try online. I tried ordering it on WWE Shopzone a couple of weeks back and, believe it or not, it was sold out. Apparently it's a big seller. Anyway, I ended up ordering it from amazon.com along with the Rumble DVD. So yeah, if you have a credit card your best bet is to order it online. Even WWE Shopzone should have it available again by this time.

    WWE's Dusty Rhodes DVD info

Since I'm a complete ignorant regarding Dusty's body of work I'll have to wait and see if people recommend this as a great set. Looks packed enough, though.

The main feature should be interesting, but I'm not sure it guarantees a buy on my part just yet. That picture scared me a bit.

Not that I disagree with you or anything, but why can't it have the lineage? Just like the NWA Title that TNA uses has the prestigious history why can't this "New AWA" have the old AWA history? Where does one differ from the other? I know that the original AWA folded years ago so that should be enough grounds to dismiss this new Title, but wasn't the NWA Title also abandoned/ignored for some time in the past? This is an honest question since I have a hard time accepting the fact that guys like Mike Rapada or Chris Candido having won the NWA Title should be recognized as WORLD champs.

It also was reported last week that the WrestleMania21 DVD is WWE's best-selling DVD of all-time, and the Undertaker DVD is the best-selling non-PPV set of all-time.

    Don't believe the hype

The last thing I want to do is add more fuel to this "Joe is god/no he's not" discussion, but anyway: I like Samoa Joe, maybe not as much as possibly the majority here (I do not think he's the second coming or anything like that), but I've watched that Kobashi vs Joe match from ROH several times and honestly I cannot find that guranteed ***** match. Personally, the best stuff I've seen from Joe are his match with CM Punk (the second one) and his match vs Styles and Daniels (the first one). Then again, maybe I haven't seen enough Samoa Joe, but how much is actually enough? I've seen several of his ROH matches, including tag teams, four-ways, and his 3 famed matches with Punk, and I've seen virtually all of his TNA PPV stuff. Is that enough to make an educated opinion or do I need to also watch his UPW stuff? Anyhow, I find myself enjoying the majority of his work, but not as much as I enjoy and mark for the work of others, like Kurt Angle, Benoit, etc. This thread was really going downhill but the last few posts I think put it back on track. Hopefully it stays that way and people can accept that you can like some wrestlers more than others.

    TNA arena crowd

I just hate that TNA crowd most of the time. It just seems like they get together before the show or something and decide which match is getting the dual chant for no apparent reason. And they only seem to boo Jeff Jarrett, everybody else is a face.

    Dates/Locations for '06 WWE PPV's

They'd be fools to not do a show in the Garden, or at the very least, the Nassau. New York has to be one of (if not their biggest) cities and to completely leave them off the PPV lineup is absurd. Besides, I want to go to a PPV this year, and its more likely that New York gets it than DC. It'd be awesome if they did confirm MSG for Survivor Series, since it's the PPV of the "Big Four" I haven't attended yet. Being in the Garden would make it a no-brainer for me. I have a feeling if it was in the Garden it would be confirmed by now. Stupid company isn't going to run a PPV in New York. I heard WWE were still negotiating to come back to the Garden so hopefully they can confirm it soon enough. The PPV is in November so it still is a long way to go. And there's always ECW One Night Stand II, right?

I could make a go for SummerSlam in Boston or SurSeries if it's confirmed in NY. Otherwise it seems like the Royal Rumble was it for me this year.

Are you sure? I've read many times that Hogan beat Inoki to become the very first IWGP Champ. He beat him via knockout (he knocked him out of the ring or something.) BTW, as of last year, Hogan is also a two-time AWA Champion.
