Keep checking silvervision.co.uk for match listings and extras. There's no info at this time but they usually are the firsts to get all the details, cover art, etc. Specially now that the DVD is about a month away from being released they should have the info up anytime now. The new ECW DVD doesn't come out until February 6th IIRC.

I'm getting the special magazine pretty soon so I'll post wether I feel it's a good magazine or not. If it's in the same vein as the special Shawn Michaels mag they did a while back then it could be pretty decent. $50 for the combo? I don't know. If you order thru WWE Shopzone you get the combo for approx. $26 plus shipping to wherever you are, and I have to believe there's no way in hell they'll charge $24 for S&H to Mexico, so that's probably your best bet (unless you can't order by credit card.) Ese es mi consejo, mi cuate.

Hey, anybody know the pre-sale password for Rumble tickets? The pre-sale was supposed to start today until tommorow. I'd appreciate any help, thanks in advance.
-
I remember that episode. He wrestled under a mask IIRC.
-
What's wrong with the costume? I haven't been able to watch the teaser yet. Does he wear the helmet or what?

SummerSlam 2000 is a great show IMO: Blackman vs Shane for the Hardcore Title. Benoit vs Jericho best of three falls match. My favorite of their series. TLC match - Hardys vs Dudleys vs E&C. Best TLC ever. Rock vs HHH vs Angle. HHH and Rock were in top form that year and Angle kept up, even after a nasty head bump.

Terrific article. Thanks a lot.

Didn't Eddie celebrate his four year anniversary of being sober recently? Either this incident happened before he got fired (2001) or Eddie wasn't completely alcohol-free as he and Chavo stated. Or maybe that incident didn't happen as described.

I'm going to Miami for the Rumble.

Well, I think it means that friday night wasn't the complete death slot for SD! that a lot of people were predicting. It seems evident that SD! has retained the majority of its thursday audience, with ratings pretty consistant or slightly rising even since debuting.
-
Other than the 3.1 SD! got for the Eddie Tribute, I think that's the best rating SD! has had since the move to friday nights.

That would be awesome, Alro. I'm definitely interested in watching this match.

I think I aged at least five years reading all that stupidity. I was a big Supes fan when I was a kid but have grown to dislike him since, but I still wish for them to make a great movie. Hopefully Bryan Singer has the magic touch, shitty costume notwithstanding.

The DVD is already #1 on Billboard's charts for Sports & Recreational videos.

Kurt Angle Responds To "Death Watch" Rumors
pochorenella replied to QuestionMan's topic in The WWE Folder
So, you mean that some internet reports are... NOT TRUE?!?? Edit: I'm not referring to you, Coffey. -
My thoughts on Bret's DVD: - The main feature was very interesting, specially the recount of Bret's early years, but it felt kinda flat at parts IMO 'cause it was mostly stuff we've seen/heard before on previous interviews. I was expecting a bit more insight on his motives as to really why he didn't want to drop the Title at SSeries 97 and end all the speculation, and also why he didn't like dropping the Title at WMXII. Still, good feature, but coul've been way better with a little more "inside dirt" so to speak. - The matches. I've stated before that I was disappointed on the match selection. I really wanted more rare gems than the ones they showed here, although the match with Steamboat is a great, nice addition and the Bam Bam match was good. The matches range from the truly classic (Slam 92, WMX, WMXIII, etc) to the somewhat-disappointing (vs Bulldogs - curfew??) to the what the...? (vs Nasties - its inclusion still baffles me.) I may be in the minority but that KOTR match vs Perfect I feel is better than the SSlam match. Against Hakushi I like the RAW match better, and I still don't see the appeal of the Diesel match, specially the tying-the-leg thingie that I felt was dumb on both guys' part. And I can finally see why Bret likes the Owen match in White Plains so much, as they sure looked like they were having fun in the ring. Very good indeed. All in all, a terrific set, powered by many quality matches with only one glaring black dot in the Nasties tag match (it's not even the last Hart Foundation match, so why??) I'm sure it's gonna sell like crazy, and deservedly so.

It's not mentioned on the original post but Linda McMahon reported DVD sales for the Undertaker's set in the 150,000 range. That's one of the best sales number for non-PPV releases since the ECW set. Wonder how Warrior's did, since it was #1 in Billboard for quite some time. Ditto for how Bret's DVD will do.

I thought Kevin Smith's script was good for the time period (based on the Death of Superman arc) but it was nixed. Of course previous treatments were absolute crap, like making Luthor Kryptonian and shit like that, but that still doesn't excuse IMO how Superman looks for this movie. The neck/cape part of the costume I can let slide but that brownish/maroonish color instead of red and that small "S" symbol are a turnoff. And I'm not even a Superman fan.

1000 Reasons why Late Night with Conan O'Brien
pochorenella replied to The Mandarin's topic in Television & Film
That was awesome, so glad I caught it. That Nancy O'Dell is hot. -
I don't think so. I believe WWE already had prime time specials set on their deal with NBC/Universal, way before TNA even had a saturday night timeslot secured. The fact that they'll be on saturday it's just coincidence IMO, but a welcome one for WWE for sure IF they can take away some of the small Impact! ratings. SNME was a staple of NBC programming in the 80s, so it's only fitting the show returns now that NBC is part of their TV exposure.
-
I think they're RAW shows initially because RAW is gonna be preempted a few times on USA, so the shows they tape for those preempted dates will be the ones showed as SNME. That should also answer if the shows are live or not (I don't recall the original SNMEs being live in the first place.) Of course, I could be wrong and the plan all along could be only RAW shows regardless.

If anything this made me more interested in getting the book myself. Nice tidbits, SK.

Seeing as I was expecting Ronin to be Elektra I'm not surprised it's a female. I AM surprised at which female it turned out to be. I haven't seen her since her first storyarc in DareDevil.

You're wrong. The 800,000 or so buys for ONS was just a fairy tale. It didn't even go over 400,000 while Mania had over 1,000,000 buys IIRC. Maybe even SummerSlam did a bigger buyrate than ONS but I may be mistaken on this one.
