Vince McMahon Institutes New Drug Policy
pochorenella replied to QuestionMan's topic in The WWE Folder
Hopefully is a nice little baby step towards looking out for the wrestler's safety. -
Personally I hated the all pink look, like the one he used on WMIX. Any black/pink combo worked for me.
-
I believe the last time he used it was on a tag match with Eddie vs. Team Angle. They had to improvise a finish 'cause Eddie got hurt nearing match's end. I also think maybe Benjamin was hurt too.

Austin didn't go to Pillman's funeral?? WTF, I thought they were real close buddies. He even wears that gold chain in memory of him. Owen's I can somewhat understand (not justify) since they barely spoke to each other after the piledriver incident. It seems Owen was so ashamed he wasn't able to even call Austin to apologize, and Austin never forgot that.

Wasn't sure where to post this. Here you can find a very nice interview with Bret Hart. Boy, does he love telling about that little kid that only knows him from the videogames. I've read that aneqdote in about every interview he's done lately. Anyway, a very good read IMO.

They've already established that his last name is Dinsmore. It happened last year on RAW with the HHH feud when he called Eugene's mom "Mrs. Dinsmore."
-
Wow, wonder what happened.

Just letting you guys know there's also a nice thread on this (along with favorite moments) on the General and Old School Wrestling folder. You can also contribute there if you haven't already.

Thanks for the link. I'm getting that T-shirt and I'll wear it at the Rumble next year.

New Champion Crowned on First European Show
pochorenella replied to QuestionMan's topic in The WWE Folder
I talked to my niece a couple of days ago, she lives in Italy. She tells me there's WWE programming on TV at least 3 times a day, every day. Also, the news of Eddie Guerrero's passing was all over the news over there. I was surprised she knew about it so well since she's not a fan or anything. So yeah, WWE is HUGE in Italy these days. EDIT: Sorry about the mistake, I also have a nephew over there. Thanks for the correction, DocOck. -
Absolutely pathetic.

You can do so at WWE.com and I'm pretty sure they're forwarding all messages to Eddie's family.

Last night I got together with my wrestling friends and watched the No Mercy 2005 DVD as a tribute to Eddie, being that it was his last PPV appearance and on his birthday, no less. Even though the show was pretty lackluster we all gave a round of applause to Eddie and remembered some of our favorite moments from him. Don't seem like much to do in honor of him, really, but it was one way to pay our respects to him. We miss you like crazy, homes.

Little correction: The match was not from the Winter Combat CHV. It was from the first episode of "Action Zone". <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Duly noted.
-
Yeah, it was Edge, Undertaker, and Rikishi. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Man, I love that match. The expression on Eddie's face when he realized he was left alone with all three faces in the ring was priceless. He puts his arm on Rikishi's shoulder and starts making funny talk with him. I lose it everytime I see that. I have a vague recollection of this. When did it happen?

If you can order online there's no doubt deepdiscountdvd.com is the cheapest you can order from. If you're gonna try some retailer chain I suggest you go to Best Buy tomorrow and no later than that. I bought Taker's DVD set there on the day of release and it went for something like $17, but I do believe it was just for that release day, although I could be wrong. Anyway, if you have one near you try Best Buy.

ESPN Radio Host makes comments on passing
pochorenella replied to Paul Stanley's topic in The WWE Folder
All these idiots being disrespectful on Eddie's passing can go straight to hell. Fuck you, you piece of shit. -
Great pictures there, RedJed. I envy you for being there.

Fuck that asshole. Hope he catches some fatal virus and his dick falls off. How dare he?? Yesterday I watched the Eddie DVD again. A few tears filled my eyes. Can't wait to see the WWE special shows for him. Thanks again, Eddie, vato loco.

I think Bret's a better authority on what was a better match with Owen then you are. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Then all of you have to agree with me that Bret/Shawn ironman is one of Bret's best matches ever. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Exactly. When Bret says his IronMan match with Michaels is probably his best ever all the smarks go into an uproar, "I want what Bret's smoking", they say. So I can't disagree with him about his Owen matches?
-
Both the Ground Zero and Bad Blood matches are terrific, specially the HIAC, which Meltzer gave ***** if I'm not mistaken, a rarity from him. Bret vs Taker at ONO doesn't even come close to the greatness of HIAC #1. Back on topic, the main feature on Bret's DVD sounds great, although I'm still a bit disappointed on the match listing. I still can't believe Bret said his match vs. Owen from the Winter Combat tape is his best match against his brother.
