Paul Orndorff better not be backstage then, or else he'd kick Vader's ass again. Vader was a complete jobber on his last days with WWE. Even frickin' Bradshaw (back when he wasn't even NEAR the ME) beat him clean.

I believe there's another guy already using the Chris Cage moniker.
-
Yeah, right, like Taboo Tuesday voting isn't a fixed outcome already... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> By all accounts last year's vote was totally legit. This news totally suck, IMO. I really liked Christian, hope wherever he ends up he's appreciated.

Yes, it was an elimination match. What I meant to imply was that it was pretty lenghty, over 35-40 minutes long. Maybe longer.
-
There was a 5 or six-way match on the last day of the draft that supposedley was for the new SD! Title but ended up being for the #1 contender spot after Batista was drafted. JBL won and it went over 35 mins. IIRC.
-
Is it really that good a match? I haven't seen it yet but I read on some sites that it was basically a glorified chop-fest. I've seen great stuff from those men before and it's obvious most would expect a terrific match, but seems that some would like to tag it with that rating just 'cause it's Kobashi/Joe.

Hopefully I'll get some tape of this since it looks to be extremely interesting stuff. I haven't seen any OVW stuff since the days of Leviathan, Lesnar, Orton, Benjamin, etc. Wonder what'll happen with the Jeter/Capottelli feud since it was reported that Capottelli would be called up to WWE for a tag team run.

I remember him doing that for Bryan "Spanky" Kendrick on SD! a couple of years back. Spanky was rappin' some stuff to john Cena. I don't remember doing it WITH Cena, though.

From Newsarama.com: http://www.newsarama.com/marvelnew/King/st...king_marvel.htm Interesting to say the least. I've never read the Dark Tower series but I'd be interested to follow this.

Without having seen the spoilers before last night, I just have to say it was totally awesome that all 4 of those guys were fired. They screwed up the task big time and seemed unable to grasp the real purpose of the task, which was selling. It was a total surprise to me but I think it was a welcome one since it makes all contestants stay on their toes the whole time. And in a couple of weeks, CHEWBACCA??

It wasn't a heart attack. It 'turned out' to be just heartburns, but nobody bought that Nash was ill to begin with, and it was just his way of getting out of doing a job. And the finish was meant to be a clean job to Giant. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Okay, I know it wasn't a real heart attack, I should have made that clear. What I'm asking is, could Nash take the Chokeslam or would they have had to find another way for The Giant to beat him clean? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He took a Chokeslam from Undertaker back in WMXII so I guess he should be able to take another no prob.

In addition to Sass's list I'd like to recommend the Sword of Azrael TPB (first appearance of Azrael, who'd become the replacement Batman in the Knightfall storyline.)
-
George Perez brings the awesome, as always.

I think that's the beauty of the angle. People are buying Eddie's face turn, Batista seems to be buying it as well. You can see Eddie sometimes still flashes that little look kinda saying "wow, my plan is working." I think this is heading to something similar like The Rock turning on Mankind at SurSeries back in 99 after he fooled everyone into cheering him but instead turning full heel.

I'm gonna miss the Hurricane character, but if it means at least a (slight) push for Gregory Helms then so be it. I'll still have my tapes to watch him on his matches with Jamie Noble, Stevie Richards (Vertebreaker, baby!!), Chris Jericho and of course the Rock, along with those awesome skits with him: "It was a special effect!!" Nothing TNA puts out can compare to those.

One and Only Star Wars Geekiness Thread
pochorenella replied to Black Lushus's topic in Television & Film
Just a reminder that Revenge of the Sith comes out on DVD November 1st. Here's an early review. At the same time, it's been confirmed that Lucasfilm will release new DVDs for Star Wars on the Blu-Ray format in the near future. Do you think that'll swing the balance to Blue-Ray's favor in the next gen DVD wars? -
SD! ratings are in. The show did a 2.6, which is up from 2.5 last week and 2.4 the week before.
-
Same thing here. I already own WManias 16 thru 21 on DVD, so I'll just get the first 3 sets, but I'm only getting Vol. 2 first, because with Star Wars Ep.III, Seinfeld season 5 and the Bret Hart DVD set all coming out in November it's gonna be hard on the wallet.
-
WWE Shopzone is throwing a special Bret Hart Tribute magazine pretty much for free (it's the same price if you order the DVD only). I think that's pretty good too. I'd take this offer if I wasn't ordering from FYE in hopes to get the rumoured extra disc.
-
You wanted WWE rankings, you got them. Now let's bitch about not agreeing with them.
-
1. HBK 2. Mysterio & Hardy 3. Submission 4. Arm Wrestling. I agree this has to be kept short. 5. Cactus Jack. 6. Lingerie.
-
I saw an episode of Hotel Erotica last year with Candice Michelle (before she joined WWE.) It was pretty decent softcore action between her and some dude and then a threesome also. I believe that video is making the rounds on the internet somewhere, you might be able to download it if you looked for it.
-
WWE's Shopzone is having some sweet offers lately regarding DVDs. Most of them offer either a T-shirt or a special magazine or the like in addition to a DVD, and the prices are terrific. Makes me wanna wait to see what offer do they come up with for the Bret Hart DVD.
-
Is that gonna be his first Title defense? All the way until January?
-
we wouldn't demonize him if he didn't clearly half-ass every appearance he's made thus far since coming back... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Which are those? His two interview segments (Piper's Pit, Cabana) that he's made thus far? Those were just that. Interviews. I'm sure he could step up if it were a somewhat extended program, like the one with Orton (where I think he DID deliver, both interview and in-ring wise.) This Carlito thing seems to be a short-term one, but I guess we'll have to wait and see.
