    Vaughn off of X-Men 3

If the movie bombs then Hugh Jackman gets a ton of blame, too. He's producing the film and he has final approval on the Director. But hopefully Rattner won't mess it up, specially if he stays away from the actual script.

Because it hasn't been done in awile

    1. Shawn Michaels vs Undertaker - HIAC Badd Blood 97 2. Kurt Angle vs Chris Benoit - Royal Rumble 2003 3. The Rock vs Steve Austin - WMX-7 4. HHH vs Chris Benoit vs Shawn Michaels - WMXX 5. Bret Hart vs Steve Austin - WM13 6. Shawn Michaels vs Mankind - IYH: Mind Games 7. Edge/Christian vs Hardyz vs Dudleyz - TLC SSlam2000 8. The Rock vs HHH - J-Day 2000 9. Shawn Michaels/Steve Austin vs British Bulldog/Owen Hart - RAW '97 10. Bret Hart vs Owen Hart - SSlam 1994 My top 5 pretty much stays the same always, barring any new additions if another excellent match comes along. My #1 choice is rock-solid, as is my #2. HIAC has been my all-time fave ever since I first saw it when I bought the BB VHS tape in 98. I was there live for #3 and #4 so those might be that high accounting sentimental and mark-out value, but they're still awesome matches anyways. The rest is pretty much my opinion at this moment, which could vary slightly, as I find it very difficult to narrow it down to just 10, I had to bump Razor/HBK, Eddie/Rey and others. HBK vs Angle may or may not crack the top 10 with further viewings, being the best match I've seen this year so far.

    Weekend Boxoffice Report, June 3-5

Actually, I read that, too. The director asked Jolie to do something she's never done before for this new sex scene, and reportedly he was totally impressed with it.

    Vaughn off of X-Men 3

From Newsarama.com: With last week’s announced departure of X3 director Matthew Vaughn, a mutant-tinged vacuum was created. Today, Variety confirmed that the director’s seat for the third X-Men film installment will be filled by Brett Ratner. According to the trade, the director of Rush Hour among other films, is eyeing an August production start, with no change in the film’s planned Memorial Day 2006 opening. Variety also stated that Ratner was on the short list of directors for the first X-Men film, which went to Bryan Singer. The report also confirms that Lost star Maggie Grace will play Kitty Pryde in the film

Undertaker (3-disc), HHH (3-disc), Ladder Matches

That match listing doesn't appeal to me at all, except for the Ground Zero match and maybe the First Blood match vs. Stone Cold. Except all of the first disc, almost everything else has already been on DVD. I'd have liked to see some RAW or SD! matches in addition to all the PPV ones. I wasn't inclined on buying this one when I heard of it, and my opinion hasn't changed now that I know the matches included.

There's a very funny discussion about this topic between Randall and Dante on the "Clerks" movie. Kevin Smith fans will know what I'm talking about. If not, check it out 'cause it's funny shit.

    The Road Warriors

I remember that show. That would be a great addition, no doubt. And maybe some match against the Steiners. Already pre-ordered on DDDVD two weeks ago.

Don't worry about it, man. Many of us are, it's just different degrees of nerdiness. From now on I plead to you to ALWAYS name the characters whenever possible, no matter how obscure they are.

    Box Office report

ROTS is gonna hit $300 million either on friday or saturday at the latest. It'd be the fastest movie ever to reach that mark, and it's a good bet to finish at the $375-$400 million range.

You make a good point, as Vader never actually named her, he just said he knew about the sister and all that. Even when he gave his dying wish to Luke he didn't say any names.

    Thinking about buying an iPod

Just so you guys know, I finally decided on an Ipod and I just bought it from the amazon.com Marketplace for $215 including shipping, which I think is a pretty sweet price for the 6GB model. Hopefully it'll get to me in a few days so I can start downloading music to it right away and stop listening to the crap they play at my gym. Thanks for all the advice.

    Thinking about buying an iPod

I've been reading this whole thread since I'm also at the crossroads or either getting an Ipod mini 6GB for $236 at amazon.com or a Creative Zen Micro 5GB for $200. The Ipod seems the favorite around here, although I've never been an Apple user in my life, and the $0.99 cents a song thingie doesn't sound that good. The other is $30 cheaper, has a longer-lasting battery, seems more PC-friendly(?) and supports WMA. How's WMA compared to AAC in terms of sound quality, bitrate size, etc? Either way I have to make up my mind this week. So, a little final input from you guys, helping me make my final decision? Thanks.

In the graphic novel it does show that Yoda is indeed talking to Qui-Gon Jinn up until Bail Organa interrupts him. Not sure if the actual conversation is a deleted scene or if it was even shot. Regarding those deleted screen shots, that last one with Obi-Wan and Anakin escaping the droids through the floor does appear in the GN as well. It would have been nice to see that in the movie.

Ok, finally got to see it twice in a 24 hour span. Gotta say, loved it on first viewing, loved it even more on second. Probably will be catching it at least one more time in the near future. That last hour or so of the movie was absolutely top notch stuff, and I have to say that, at least in my mind, George Lucas has redeemed himself on this last chapter after a couple of misfires, although I do like EpsI and II. Still, no question this is the best of the new trilogy and I would rank it tying in third place with ROTJ in my list. ANH remains my favorite no matter what, even if ESB is a much better movie. Like many people here have said, I loved when Yoda and Obi-Wan fought the clone troopers to get into the Jeid Council building. Yoda totally kicked BUTT there. Also, I was totally marking out for the Anakin vs Obi-Wan duel in Mustafar. Such great sense of drama and emotion, not to mention the great swordfighting displayed. My rating? ***** all the way, no doubt. I also read the graphic novel (finally!) after watching the movies, so did anyone realize that Yoda was having a conversation with Qui-Gon Jinn at the end of the movie before Senator Organa called to him? And what about Mon-Mothma no-showing in the movie? She's on the comic interacting with Organa and Padme. I have a question: What's the truth regarding Jedi Master Syfo-Dias (sp?) and he asking the people of Kamino for the clones? Do you think whomever created the clone Army already implanted the knowledge for Order 66 on them? Or was the order given later to be obeyed in the future? It seems kinda odd that the troopers where all buddy-buddy with the Jedi before - Commander Cody even returned Obi-Wan's light-saber to him just seconds before the order.

According to Boxofficemojo.com, ROTS made $16.5 million on its midnight showings for Wednesday to establish a new record. That's fucking unbelievable. My thoughts on the movie will come after I see it a couple of times between tonight and sunday. I'm enjoying all the discussion here, though.

Goodie. Thanks, K. I don't want to sound too nerdish, but I have a question for the SW geeks here: I have tickets for tomorrow since two weeks ago, but I recently came across a single ticket for TODAY. Problem is I already commited to a date with a hot girl and I can't do both things. WHAT WOULD THE STAR WARS GEEKS DO IN MY PLACE?? Just curious on anybody else's answer, I'm pretty much set on going with this girl.

I'd just like to know if the Yoda fight scene is better or worse than on EpII? Spoiler tags if necessary, please.
