I doubt it, since it's basically Paul London's finishing move right now but any of those surprise moves he busts out now and then just make me like the guy more. Too bad none of my OVW tapes show Shelton doing the move, but I did get to see Brock's SSP. That was cool as hell.

Could you point me to the sites you use for free downloading? It seems all sites I click on that advertise FREE are lying 'cause they actually ask you for your CC or something. Thanks in advance. As for the getting them for free or not debate, I think $0.10 per song is completely a bargain so I don't mind it. It eases up a bit the "guilt" you might get for downloading free. And it sure beats that Kazaa shit, where you don't know if you're getting a damaged file, complete silence, or an endless loop of the song's chorus. At least on mp3search.ru you get the full song with no errors.

Lucas to Release Star Wars 3-D films in 2007
pochorenella replied to pochorenella's topic in Television & Film
Do the Indiana Jones movies count? American Graffitti Lucas came up with the whole story and character of Indiana Jones, so I'd say he's the main force behind those movies, not Spielberg. Lucas also wrote and directed American Graffitti, so I'd hardly say he's a one trick pony. Guys of the caliber of Francis Ford Coppola have been praising the guy since the beginning, but I guess some people would say his opinion doesn't count. He's a nobody, right? Fun fact: Lucas originally wanted Spielberg to direct Return of The Jedi, but the Director's Guild prevented it because of some dispute with Lucas. -
All credit goes to Newsarama.com Thursday’s Hollywood trades made official what has been rumored for months, Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel creator and Astonishing X-Men writer Joss Whedon will write and direct a big-screen, live-action Wonder Woman feature film for Warner Bros. with Joel Silver and Leonard Goldberg producing. "Wonder Woman is the most iconic female heroine of our time, but in a way, no one has met her yet," Whedon said in a statement quoted by The Hollywood Reporter. "What I love most about icons is finding out what's behind them, exploring the price of their power. When Joel and I began discussing the character, I realized there is a woman behind the legend who is very fascinating, very uncompromising and in her own way almost vulnerable. She's someone who doesn't belong in this world, and since everyone I know feels that way about themselves, the character clicked for me." "There's no one better than Joss to adapt the legendary Wonder Woman comic book character created in the 1940s into a dynamic feature film for 21st century audiences," Silver said in the statement. "Wonder Woman was the first great female superhero to emerge from comic books and later inspire millions of fans in her television incarnation, but unlike her counterparts Batman and Superman, this groundbreaking heroine has yet to be reinvented for the feature film arena." Whedon is currently in post-production on the Universal feature Serenity, which he wrote and directed based on his short-lived Fox sci-fi series Firefly. No start date was given for the Wonder Woman production. Expect more news on the film during this weekend's WizardWorld LA convention

CBright, you seem to know every detail of the movie so far. Are your spoilers reliable? What are your sources? I don't mind them, as long as you keep them in spoiler tags and don't reveal any major stuff.

Agreed. Strip Chavito NOW, and make Akio vs. London for WM21 as the Tourney Finals. Otherwise, bad break for London.

Inducting Hulk Hogan Into the WWE Hall of Fame...
pochorenella replied to QuestionMan's topic in The WWE Folder
Cool news, IMO. Nobody short of Austin or The Rock on the current roster could do the induction justice, so getting Stallone is a smart move that should get some mainstream coverage. -
Sounds good, but I've been using another Russia-based site for mp3 downloads, mp3search.ru. It's a pretty good site, $0.10 per song is fairly good IMO. Has pretty much all recent stuff and a lot of oldies, too. It shows up in english also, so no prob there. Highly recommended.

Damn! Didn't I just mention this movie? Could this be a remake of sorts? Sounds very much like that flick I saw years ago.

The Exorcist for me. It even scared me when I watched it again on the re-release. That "spider-walk" down the stairs, now THAT shit is scary. Stephen King's IT was really scary for me when I watched it all those years ago. Haven't watched it since, so I wonder what I'll feel now. Alien scared the piss out of me when I was a kid. Even more so because my cousins insisted on always watching it with the lights out (we had it on Betamax back then.) There was this movie I saw YEARS ago, I believe was called "The Fog" or something like that. I'm not sure if it was a TV movie or what, but damn, that was scary shit. And of course, The Thing always scared me back in the days, even as I tried to pass as if it didn't in front of my friends.

He used to do comic drawings occasionally for WWF Magazine back in the day. Bret sucks at drawing, though. Ever seen his stuff on those mags? Even Jerry Lawler made fun of him on that regard. Stick to wrestling, Bret.

Just how good could Marty Jannety have been
pochorenella replied to Vern Gagne's topic in General Wrestling
I remember reading PWI at the time of the Rockers breakup, they had a profile on Shawn Michaels that basically said he was the best technical wrestler in the WWF at the time, other than Curt Hennig and Bret Hart. -
My Top 4, in no particular order: Team Bischoff vs Team Austin, SS2003 Team WWF vs Team WCW/ECW, SS2001 Wild card match, SS1995 Jannetty, Hakushi, Horowitz, & Holly vs. Kid, Skip, Radford, & Pritchard, SS1995 EDIT: And I miss the days of the original Team names: the Visionaries, the Vipers, the Megabucks, etc. Now it's just Team [wrestler last name] vs Team [wrestler last name]. How unoriginal.

Benoit vs. Triple H on Raw tommorow night
pochorenella replied to iliketurtles's topic in The WWE Folder
HHH did wear a sling on RAW after the WManiaXX match, IIRC, so he sold the damage the crossface made pretty well. -
According to the second set of spoilers, it wasn't like Orton ran away scared from Taker. He slapped him after signing the contract and left the ring, staring at him as he walked up the ramp. Not exactly courageous-like, but not pussy-like either. Didn't Michaels say something like the tag reunion being a tune-up for Jannetty before his match vs Kurt? I believe he said something to that effect.

Still nothing regarding the Rey vs Eddie match for Mania?
-
Henry and June also got an NC-17 rating, IIRC. It featured a steamy lesbian scene with Uma Thurman and this other girl. I guess I'm fucked 'cause I couldn't wait and got both Kill Bill DVDs when they came out.

I've been a fan of Shelton's since his Team Angle days. I also managed to obtain some tapes with matches from OVW when he teamed with Brock and he was quite impressive but nothing earth-shattering at the time. The turning point for me that really opned up my eyes and made me go "DAMN!" was -believe it or not- his match with Christian at Survivor Series. Neither his matches with HHH nor his IC Title win vs. Jericho impressed me that much. I liked his matches with Randy Orton. But at SSeries, when he busted out that reverse slingshot suplex thingie, that made me mark the fuck out. I'm definitely keeping an eye out for him on 2005.

I'm ashamed to say I watch Everwood. That Van Camp girl is so beautiful. -
If Luke knew who Anikan really was
pochorenella replied to Steve J. Rogers's topic in Television & Film
Luke said to Vader he was able to sense the conflict within him, the good vs. evil he was experiencing, so it's not a matter of anybody telling him his father was good or not. -
Deal, but you better wire me some money for food and stuff...

Yes, that's better picture quality. Regarding that trailer, I'm almost speechless. Best trailer I've seen in AGES. Ok now, who wants to go wait in line with me at the theater?

Thats why Angles best matches were with people far more talented than him like Benoit, Austin, Guerrero, Mysterio etc. etc. Stick him in a match vs. random midcarder with minimum skills and the match would blow. Angle's had good matches also with Edge, Kane, and Shane McMahon, just off the top of my head.
