It's not unheard of for ROH guys to wrestle dark matches or Velocity/Heat matches. I believe Xavier did it while ROH Champ, though I might be wrong on the timeframe here. It doesn't necessarily mean Walters is WWE bound. And I believe this is his only match to date on a WWE ring. As for Big Vito, it's only his second appearence in WWE in two weeks, but no news have come out about wether he's signing or not.

He should probably say something if they're doing something stupid with his character, yes. I have no problem if 'Taker chooses to put over Orton, but (a) it shouldn't be his choice, it should be Vince's and (b) if it's not done the right way, it will just give Orton X-Pac heat. Yes. The booking should always be done with the idea of giving the fans what they want in the long haul. Me thinking it's a bad idea has nothing to do with my personal opinions of him as a performer, and everything to do with the fact that he has no male fans and a new babyface you're trying to push challenging the Undertaker will cause him to get "go away" heat, even if he goes over. You reserve that for a heel. Okay, now we're getting somewhere. Honestly, Taker's been boring me to tears for quite some time, so I do want him to pass the torch to somebody (dammit, ANYBODY) and if Orton happens to be that guy then I hope they do it well. On the other hand, his WM streak is an amazing feat and I understand Taker fans not wanting it to end, but think what wonders it could do to a carrer of an up-and-comer. Of course, most would want it to be with a fan (or smark) favorite rather than Orton. Now I think WWE is backed into a corner. What could be the ideal outcome? Surely not even all the Orton haters would suggest a Taker squash? Maybe the deadly Handshake of Mutual Respect after a hard fought and valiant effort by the youngster?

? When did Jack do that? I'm pretty sure he did it at ROH's Weekend of Thunder Night 2, in the four corner survival. He did it onto, of course, Special K at ringside. Was that the cage match with the SATs, Teddy Hart and those other guys? Sick, sick bumps here. I loved the Spanish Fly from the top of the cage.

1) WMX, HBK vs Razor. No brainer for top dog. The Standard. 2) No Mercy 99, Hardys vs E&C. Still love it to this day. 3) WM2000, Hardys vs E&C vs Dudleys. In practice it was TLC but never announced as such so it qualifies (I was there live, so maybe I'm biased.) 4) Rumble 2001, Benoit vs Jericho. One of their best in the series. 5) RAW 2002 (May, June?), RVD vs Eddie. Could have been higher if not for the botched finish.

So a wrestler is not allowed to have any say on his career choices? Should he always do what the fans say? If he wants to "pass the torch" to someone he deems worthy he shouldn't do it because some guys on a Forum think it's a bad idea?

I agree with this. I think Taker has enough pull with the Front Office so they allow him final word on wether he ends his streak or not. And if he gives Orton the ultimate rub then who are we to question it? I'm no Orton fan myself, but I think many people here are clouding their thoughts because they hate Orton so much. Back when Orton faced Foley everyone was happy 'cause Randy stepped up to the plate and delivered when few thought he would. Now we're predicting doom and gloom for him when that match hasn't even happened yet. He may still lose, you know? WWE dropped the ball with Orton once but they can still make up for it. It happened with The Rock. Not to say it'll reach those levels, but he's young so he still has time. Regarding Angle vs HBK, I'm really torn here, and I guess I'm in the minority here among all the HBK Haters. Can't they both win? Really, all I want is a terrific match when all is said and done. Neither one has won a match on PPV in ages, and HBK has a lousy Mania record. Many are still complaining on his victory over Jericho at WMXIX. But I guess I'll go with Angle, after a hard-fought battle, or with an ending a la Bret/Austin (HBK passes out while in the ankle lock.) That would rock!

Also, white people talk during the movie on cell phones and to each other. If they talk TO the movie it's usually to object to something stupid. Black people YELL at the people onscreen and throw shit. I worked at the local AMC for a year, so I got to see this firsthand. Do you know how many black people went to see Jet Li's movie Black Mask just because it had "black" in the title? It was ridiculous. Regardless of their race, age, and gender, if people start talking during the movie, with or w/o cellphones or the such, just tell them to SHUT THE FUCK UP. Or call an usher and tell them to do it. It pisses me off to no end when people do that, it takes away from your enjoyement of the movie.

Billy Gunn also stole the Rocker Dropper and renamed it the Fameasser. That idiot has no original moves.

There is no way I can effectively pin-point one specific favorite moment, so I'll mention several, and only those that I've attended live: - WM2000. My very first Mania and I was so happy I could cry. Just being there made my night. I was a total mark. Unforgettable. - Witnessing what, at that time, was Mick Foley's last match ever. My section, and I think lots others, gave him a standing O when he left. - Austin vs Rock at WMX-7, the whole building was shaking. Incredible match. Finally seeing Austin wrestle live. - Watching E&C, the Hardys, and the Dudleys trying to kill themselves for the fans. (Hell, I could just mention the WHOLE WMX-7 show and be done with it.) - Another vote for the WMXX Main Event. Finally watching HBK wrestle live, and Benoit making HHH tap. I was screaming so hard I nearly fainted. I swear, I nearly had a heart-attack when HHH almost pedigreed Benoit at the end. - And the Benoit/Eddie hug and celebration, I almost cried. If you don't like it YOU'RE A MORON.

That's like a 60% dropoff compared to last week, so that's terrible news for the movie. No chance in hell it makes its $100 million back.

TNA will go under waaay before WWE does, if ever.

Correct - those are only 2004 sales. ECW recently passed Flair for the highest-selling DVD in company history. - "The Rise and Fall of ECW" DVD has now sold a total of 104,832 copies. WWE's best selling DVD ever, WrestleMania XX, has sold 111,805 copies. Flair's set is no doubt 100,000+ but WMXX's number's may be higher.

This was posted about a week after the ECW DVD was released, so the numbers need adjusting for these last couple of months. Also I think these are strictly 2004 sales only, so Steel Cage and Flair's sets may have higher numbers: Wrestlemania XX: 101,145 copes Monday Night War: 80,157 copies Mick Foley’s Greatest Hits & Misses: 49,784 Ultimate Ric Flair Collection: 41,040 Hard Knocks - Chris Benoit Story: 30,007 The Undertaker - He Buries The Alive: 26,638 John Cena - Wordlife: 23,388 Rise and Fall of ECW: 22,113 Bloodbath - Steel Cage: 21, 106 Survivor Series 2003: 20,907 Eddie Guerrero: 10,000 aprox.

- The DVD for New Year's Revolution has sold 3,419 copies in its first week. That is a strong number compared to other recent PPV DVD releases. - "The Rise and Fall of ECW" DVD has now sold a total of 104,832 copies. Nice analysis there, Sass, but you left out Kitty Pryde and her phasing powers that disrupt machinery. What's your take on that one? I seem to remember one time Shadowcat phased through IM and he was left almost frozen until his system rebooted or something.
-
That one was awesome. Back when Orton was a rookie on Smackdown. When was this? When Taker was Champ or something?
-
Are those numbers that the RVD DVD sold actually considered huge? I mean, good for him and all, but I'd like to compare his numbers with what Eddie or Benoit moved. Could someone please post that info to compare it? Good sales on the DVD must certainly be considered a testament to RVD's popularity that WWE cannot ignore.

Hey! Sixteen Stone is a fucking great album...

Good to read he admits to his own shortcomings in regards of not being up to all the pressures he set on himself while being Champ. Sure he must carry the load, but he musn't blame himself for all the problems SD! had (or still has, depending on who you ask). There was a serious lack of talent at the time with Brock gone and Show and Angle injured. I truly hope he's more mentally ready for another run soon and that the office gives him another chance. Eddie vs Rey at WrestleMania? Bring it on!

I'll give it a try. Not much of a Hellblazer fan myself so I suppose I won't bitch about how Keanu looks nothing like Sting (the real-life inspiration for the Constantine character.)

The power of The Force compels me not to read the spoilers...

Whedon & Cassaday on Astonshing for another year

Yes, I read this on Newsarama earlier. I've said it before, Astonishing is the best X-Men title on the racks today. The writing is solid and interesting, with total respect of the history of the team in a back-to-superheroics sense. And you can't go wrong with Cassaday on the art department. I'll stick with the title as long as these guys stay on it. -
According to Box Office Mojo, the cost was $84 million. According to the same source, Constantine had a better per screen average ($10,000 to $8,000, highest in the top ten, in fact), and opened on 570 fewer screens. Maybe if it had opened on the same number it would have taken top spot.
