That's what I always thought. It should be clarified in the new movie.

I thought it was clear that Master Syfo-Dias was killed ten years before AOTC, Obi-Wan said so when he talked to the Prime Minister of Kamino. What's the confusion here?
-
It's been announce as a separate DVD coming out on Early 2005, with a third season on Cartoon Network coming soon before the movie.
-
Remember, a ton of Star Wars fans supposedly went to see this movie only to watch the trailer for EpIII, if you believe those kinds of tales, so it had this big opening thanks in part to this.
-
I've seen them all, except The Incredibles, and my favorite is Toy Story 2, hands down. Check the poll, TS2 is winning.
-
That's not necessarily accurate. In the Clone Wars cartoon there were a few Jedi (at least five) killed by General Grievious, including a couple that appeared on AOTC, so I believe this is considered canon, being the official continuation of said movie. So I'd say Mace Windu, Yoda, Obi-Wan, Anakin, and those two female Jedi that Yoda rescued in the cartoon. Six by my count, but there could be a couple more at least, but not that many.

Dare I say that Shall We Dance is doing extremely well?? Haven't seen the Grudge but I already saw the Grudge 2 (japanese version) and wasn't that impressed. Maybe I should have waited to see part one or at least the original japanese version.

You're right, Lushus, there can only be two Sith at a time. So that means he/she could be another villain but not necessarily a Sith, it just seems they used some older ideas they had available. Still, you have Sidious and Tyrannus, which makes two. I figure Vader takes Tyrannus's place when he bites it sometime in the movie. That also leaves the new General Grievious character as yet another major villain who theoretically shouldn't be Sith. Or maybe that pale-faced person was Grievious without the mask? He's supposed to be also part human, part machine.

I watched Acces Hollywood yesterday just for the teaser. They've been pimping it for about two weeks now saying it was exclusive to them, unless of course you dowloaded it from somewhere or waited today to see it in theaters. Like someone else here said, it just gave me goosebumps watching it. It looked like Sidious using a lightsaber for a second, didn't it? Also, I kinda noticed somebody looking like a Sith character that was actually considered for Episode I, sorta like a female Sith with a pale face and rotten teeth. Anybody who's read the Art of Episode I book or booklet (which came with the Episode I VHS release) will know what I'm talking about here. Just awesome, really.

Weekend Boxoffice Report Oct 29-31
pochorenella replied to Youth N Asia's topic in Television & Film
It made over $110 million IIRC, so it was a success by any standard. -
Very good recap, PlatinumBoy. I do have the Death of Superman TPB, but it was mostly a case of being curious in the way he died 'cause God knows I don't like the Superman character AT ALL. In the end it was pretty disappointing IMO. Of course the mainstream media made it to be a huge event and with all the publicity the actual comic sold like 4 million copies or so. I mean really, like somebody else said in this thread, quite a few guys were totally massacred by Doomsday and ended up only with bruises and the like. For example, that Ice girl should be dead at least three times with the amount of punishement she got, and maybe even Gardner, too. And the final battle itself seemed so anti-climatic with all those single page spreads and that awful pacing. It didn't help that Supes gave perhaps the stupidest fight of his career when he's supposed to be uber-smart or something. No wonder Batman can kick his ass ever day, he's an incompetent fighter it seemsn at least from the looks of that fight. And even the quality of the Trade itself is poor. What a piss-poor paper quality it has/had, and I know that's not the case with other DC trades. In the end it was just a big publicity stunt that breathed life to the near-death (sales-wise) title, but it proved short term only. Now they need people like Jim Lee to bring that blue boy scout to the top of the sales charts. When Lee leaves, watch those comics go down in sales as usual.

That's over 30 chapters listed for the DVD, how long is the main feature? With those many chapter I figure it should be at least over 2 hours long, right?
-
I asked this on the Movie/DVD forums but I'll ask again: Does silvervision ship to the US? That would be reason enough to get a region-free DVD player.
-
I don't live in the UK, but damn, those guys are lucky with all these releases. Does silvervision ship to the US? If they do then I'd consider getting a zone-free DVD player. No it's not, but it's a pretty good DVD nonetheless. Billy Bitchcakes!

I'm pretty sure that's on the Bloodbath DVD. Try it, it's a great release. Everything that's been mentioned so far is pretty cool, but two PPVs I always wished they release on DVD are WMXIV and Canadian Stampede.

Must...not...check...spoilers... Damn, the Dark Side is too powerful. I did. But I just glanced at them, didn't read the whole thing. Interesting, to say the least. Looks promising.

I think I'm actually one of the few people here who liked the original movie, so I'm looking forward to this release. I'm definitely getting it as soon as it comes out. But like Renegade said, it's ashame it won't come with the extra disc like the original release had, it was pretty good IMO.

Star Wars Episode III teaser description w/ poster
pochorenella replied to pochorenella's topic in Television & Film
That Haley Joel Osment kid could be playing a grown up Vader as far as I'm concerned, he's a terrific actor IMO. The thing is he was too well known at the time and I think Lucas favors mostly unknowns or not that well-known actors. At least that's how I see it. And everybody craps on Christensen's acting, yet I do remember him being nominated for one of those major awards (Emmy or Golden Globe) for his work in "The Glass House" if I'm not mistaken. So he's not that bad an actor, but I do agree he's maybe wrongly directed here. -
Star Wars Episode III teaser description w/ poster
pochorenella replied to pochorenella's topic in Television & Film
Interestingly (or perhaps, expectedly), the best movie in the series is the one Lucas neither directed nor wrote, and that would be [i[The Empire Strikes Back.[/i] If I'm not mistaken, the credits list him for story and screenplay co-writing with Lawrence Kashdan. Please correct me if I'm wrong. -

Shawn Michaels injured in Triple Threat Match
pochorenella replied to Kurt Angle Mark's topic in The WWE Folder
Actually it was reported that Paul Heyman suggested trading Benoit for Kurt Angle so they could build to Taker vs Benoit and Angle vs Michaels for WMXXI, but the idea was nixed. Still, inter-promotional matches could still (and probably will) take place at Mania so I can only dream, as Angle vs HBK is one of my dream matches I'm dying to see. -
