Remind me what has this Skottie Young done before? Sounds familiar.
-
I second that, big time.

Shawn Michaels was cheered on more this last RAW, so I think they go almost neck with neck with the fan support.

Pretty good show from the looks of it. All buildup to the PPV. Strange that the Rock didn't make a pre-taped appearance at least, after all, it's "his" show. No Mercy seems to be shaping up quite nicely, I think. It's been a while since I've been looking forward to a SD!PPV (all the way back to NWO2004) so hopefully this one delivers the goods.

He won't make a penny. He'll make several million, that's for sure. My copy should arrive any day now, I can't wait to see that Vader featurette.

These might be just test shots, so expect the final product to come out better, but I think they're mostly ok. The costumes are fine and Jessica Alba looks terrific and I hope they give her the invisible effect the way they do the Predator effect, not just purely invisible. And I'm curious about the Human Torch effect, could it be kinda like The Matrix when Neo was blind but could still "see" agent Smith?

Well, I hope I'm not. I understand it's very very graphic, so we'll see. I believe I can stomach those kinds of scenes. It's movies like Cannibal Holocaust that I can't bring myself to see and probably never will.

WWE Global Warming Tour: Melbourne (2002)
pochorenella replied to natey2k4's topic in The WWE Folder
Pretty good DVD IMO. Too bad they cut the Angle match 'cause the DVD went shorter than 2 1/2 hours, and the extras were pretty bad. But the card was terrific with great matches and the crowd was totally on. -
My cousin has this movie on DVD and he always recommends it but I haven't seen it yet. I just might pick it from his shelf and see what the fuss is all about.

I preordered on amazon.com back in March. Mine should ship any day now and I just can't wait. Super Star Wars geek, right here.

So Mr. Blue was supposed to be Betty or a clone? Is Betty still dead?

I'm voting Kill Bill just because it's freshest in my mind (I just got my Kill Bill vol.2 DVD) even though Pulp Fiction is one of my all-time favorites.

I always found the one where they play golf with those guys pretty funny, but that could be just me. I didn't catch the UPN special when it first aired but if it's as great as Martyewr says then it's a must-buy, so I'm pre-ordering it right now. My only complaints are the SSeries three-way tag match (which Eddie himself admitted wasn't as great as they hoped) and the ECW 2/3 falls match, which I already own in the Path of Destruction DVD. The NWO2004 match I can understand since it's his first WWE Title win, even if I already have the NWO2004 DVD also.

Man, call me crazy but I'd love to see that on RAW, as soon as Helms is OK from his nose surgery.

That's actually the album Ozzy was slated to release instead of Speak of the Devil (the one with Brad Gillis on guitar), but being that Randy had died so recently he refused to release it and instead went for the Sabbath covers. I still have it on vinyl and the bought it on CD later on, but always wanted to get the new remastered version but never got around to doing it. Anyway, a really terrific live album. A talent like Randy Rhoads is sorely missed, and that dedication Ozzy wrote for him on the inside cover always makes me sad. Recommended.

The WWE Belt that Kurt Angle, Brock Lesnar, Eddie Guerrero had is my favorite one. I seem to remember they made a smaller version first when HHH wore it (then Hogan), but when Taker got it they changed it for a bigger version. I also really liked the previous WWE Belt, which I happen to own a replica of. The Big Gold Belt is really indifferent to me. Since I'm mostly a WWF/E child, the WCW one seemed to represent the old ways more. It also looks like the WWE version has different name plates than those used in WCW, am I right?

Hope it still counts: Rey/Edge vs Angle/Benoit

I still own that T-shirt. Austin 3:16 in blood-dripping red font, and Austin's face in the back. Just awesome.

Having read the article and watched the picture stills I'm convinced most changes/tweaks are for the better. I guess the most controversial could be the Anakin "ghost image" but it seems to work out well, IMO. Same for the revamped Jabba the Hutt and Emperor Palpatine. The light-saber duel effects revision is truly welcome. I'm actually pumped, as the release date gets closer and closer, I'm readying my liquid crystal flat screen (I also have a 27'' TV) and my Home theater will go on full blast to see and hear all the greatness. As the far as the added dialogue goes, I guess we'll have to wait for EpIII to see how it fits.

They used Finger Eleven's "One Thing" on the Benoit DVD and now the song is Top 40 on Billboard, so it's all relative.

I was/am an X-Files geek, but the last two seasons are a total blur for me, being that Mulder was in so few episodes I kinda lost interest somewhat. Here are some spoilers, I think: Mulder is really TSM's son. TSM actually dies in the last episode, after being thought as dead the previous season. He dies when a missile hits the secret cave where he was hiding healing from that disease he had. The Lone Gunmen die about 3-4 episodes before the last. They sacrifice themselves to stop a virus from spreading, IIRC. The date for that invasion, and the invasion itself, could be covered in an eventual X-Files movie that Chris Carter is talking about. This is actually a blur to me, as I remember very little of it. Scully gives up her baby for adoption, when she realizes the government is too interestedt in him. In the last episode Scully and Mulder seem to live happily ever after or something. Maybe some other X-Files fan could post a link for a site with a more in-depth review of the last two seasons.

I've been watching the show again from time to time after years of not caring about it, and I agree he's made the show somewhat more interesting. If he can't be beat then let him keep playing, sez I.
