    Trivia tidbits of notes

No way Konnan could add anything positive to the WWE's spanish announce team of Carlos Cabrera and Hugo Savinovich. Those guys are some of the best announcers on ANY language IMO. Keep Konnan away from them, thank you.

    KISS Club gig review

I'm really not that crazy about the Hot In The Shade album (although when I first heard "Forever" it gave me goosebumps) or the Crazy Nights album (I used to listen to it non-stop when it first came out, and always thought "Reason To Live" would be their first Top 40 hit in ages). Revenge has always been my favorite non-makeup album, but I do hold a soft spot for Asylum, only because "Uh! All night", "Tears Are Falling" and "Who Wants To Be Lonenly" are on it. I agree with you, Malibu, some of my all-time favorite Kiss tunes. Is it, really? I have a bootleg VHS from their Asylum tour at MSG, they played it and I thought it didn't translate very well live. That's the only live version I've ever heard so maybe you know better ones, with all your bootleg collection and stuff. And "Mr. Speed" live? Awesome. "Kissing Time"? I don't think they ever played it live, other than very early on. Did they play it on their Covention Tour, when they used to take any suggestions from the audience and play the songs unplugged?

    Best entrnace music ever....

So what's the real name for the Hardy Boyz Theme? I know it's not "2 X-Treme" because it's not an original WWF theme, I've heard it before on ESPN promos and even a Stone Cold Steve Austin video package way before it was used by the Hardys. Anybody know this? Also if it's available on any CD? All versions I've dowloaded are those home-made loop-after-loop versions.

    X-Men Producer Talks About X-Men 3

Mmm, dude, Psylocke was the shit. Especially in her tight skimpy leather outfit form. I would cast either Zeta Jones or Belucci as Betsy. Most likely Belucci. Man, no doubt that Psylocke would be nice eye candy on the big screen, but she's a terrible character (english-chinese ninja telepath who could merge with shadows??) Come on, she's better off dead. Now, Zeta-Jones would look hotter than hot playing any character in a tight X-Men outfit, but I'll settle for no Psylocke at all.

    X-Men Producer Talks About X-Men 3

Any new character but Psylocke works for me. She better stay dead. And they better be on the money with the Dark Phoenix story, otherwise bring on the Sentinels.

    The Dames Has Returned!

Shit...I'll take the 20 bucks. I wasn't planning on doing it...but I'll have to reconsider if people want it. Dames I was also there live at WMXX, and was looking forward to your Diatribe. Always nice to hear opinions from people who were there, too. But I won't pay $20, though. Welcome back, man.

    Favorite Iron Maiden Album?

I voted for Number of the Beast, but almost voted for Life After Death. I stopped listening to Maiden after Somewhere in Time, so I cannot comment on any album since that.
  9. So basically all I missed was the last group hug, and maybe the actors saying goodbye/thanks to the audience? Still, pretty enjoyable show IMO. That "Fillange" (sp?) stuff on the plane was pretty funny, and the twins surprise was a nice one. I think the show ended on a good note. I can't believe some people wanted a sad finish. Must be those non-fans or "Friends"-haters.
  10. Can somebody who actually watched the show tell me what happened after Rachel came back from the airport? My stupid VCR stopped right after that so I'm blank as to what went on from then. Vedder must be a fan, no doubt.

WWE Hall of Fame DVD Extras

Ditto for me. If the matches turn out to be really good and the DVD gets great reviews then I might consider getting it. Benoit's DVD, which is released on the same month, is different. I'll pre-order it as soon as it's available.
  12. I won't be home when the show starts so I'll tape it. I'll miss the show, I've always liked it, but I don't feel as closely attached to it as I felt about Seinfeld. That's my favorite show ever. Having said that, if the show turns out to be an emotional tear-jerker, I could find myself actually crying a bit. Just a bit.

    I don't like anime.

Unless you're already a fan of Dragon Ball and DragonBall Z I wouldn't recommend DBGT. Most people don't even consider it true DB "canon". The series is mostly aimed to be funny, although some of the final battles are terrific. I'm the biggest DBZ fan, but I wouldn't recommend the series to non-fans. Regarding the others mentioned, I've heard great things about Berserk from a cousin of mine, although I've never seen it. The others I cannot comment.

Who were the kings of overselling?

I immediately thought of Unforgiven 2000 when reading this, where Shane spits the beer out on impact after every Stunner. Actually, Shane spit the beer on the rebound from the Stunner. It looked cool as hell, IMO. One of the best, next to Rocky's always awesome selling of the move. And Randy Orton sold the Stunner like a champ back on Survivor Series 2003, and he ended up tangled on the ropes Rock-style. On the other end of the spectrum, look at Goldberg's pathetic selling of the Stunner on WMXX. Godd riddance, sez I.
  15. I believe they taped the Hart Foundation vs Rockers match, where the Rockers won the Tag Belts, but later decided they wouldn't show it because one of the ring ropes broke or something. They ended up ignoring the whole match happened, just showing Jack Tunney give some lame-ass excuse on local TV stations so people that actually attended the show would understand no Title change took place. Also, I don't think any of the Ultimate Warrior vs Undertaker Bodybag matches ever aired on TV, did they? They happened a lot on house shows but I never saw one on TV or Coliseum tapes.

Bad Blood Main Event announced on radio ad

He wrestled HBK on a Street Fight at SS2002. He didn't have the World Title yet, I think (please correct me if I'm wrong). Anyway, no title was on the line on that match.

    I don't like anime.

I thought we weren't recommending series and stuff, only OVAs or original pictures. But since everybody's going all out and talking about their favorite series just let me refer to some of mine: DragonBall Z. ONLY japanese with subtitles or in spanish. No english dubbed shit. My favorite anime series ever. Mazinger. Or "Mazinga". We weren't mentioning mechas either, but what the hell. I'm sure it's mostly unknown here in the States, it went by the name "Tranzor" I believe. The whole Mazinger family (Grandeizer, Great Mazinger, Mazinkaiser) its pure enterntaiment. Also one of my favorites ever. Ranma 1/2, I see there's no love for this series here, but it's so darn funny. A boy that changes into a girl with cold water? Come on, it's so original. Saint Seiya. Cartoon Network really messed up with one of the most popular animes in the world. "I Ran" as opening song? There's a perfectly good song in "Pegasus Fantasy", no need to change it. And they changed mostly all the names, and made them bleed blue/green blood? Check out the DVDs, unedited and terrific. I'm still waiting for the latest saga to finish. And I second the love for Castle of Cagliostro. Terrific action-packed film, and funny as hell, too.

    PWI 2004 Wrestling Almanac

Maybe I'm not making myself clear. I know the Title change took place on RAW. What I meant was that it was missing on the RAW Tag Titles List on the Almanac. You say it's there, then fine, I thought it wasn't. Maybe I'm confusing it with the previous Title change (NAO I believe?) or most likely the next title change, which I don't remember. Point is, the list was missing one Title change for several editions, including the last two, 2002, and 2003. If they corrected it this year then everything's great. I meant to check it yesterday but forgot so I'll do it later today and clear everything up.

From The Vault: Shawn Michaels Hard Knocks & Cheap Pops, in second place.

    PWI 2004 Wrestling Almanac

I meant that that Title change is not listed on the Almanac, they skipped it. Or did they? I'm confused now so I'll have to check if it's that exact match that's not listed, but I'm positive they've skipped one, maybe the previous one or the next after the mentioned match.

Help me place a time for this match

Cawthon777, I just checked your site and was about to post the answer, thanks. Yes, I found it weird when Gorilla said Shawn was IC Champion, since I remember HBK being so out of shape last time he was IC champ, and on this match he looked back to normal, so that meant late-1993 when he returned from his hiatus. Anyway, I just wanted to make sure it was before SummerSlam 1994, since the cage matches seem so alike.
  24. I have this match on a comp video, Gorilla Monsoon and Johnny Polo are on commentary. Gorilla says it's a Coliseum Video exclusive. HBK is the IC champion but the match is non-title. It seems somewhere between after HBK regained the belt from Marty Jannetty and before he left the WWF (late 1993). The thing with this match is that it looked very much like the basic blueprint for Bret and Owen's WWE Title cage match at SummerSlam. Some spots were exactly the same and the ending was basically the same one. So many people love the SummerSlam cage match (me included) and this one hardly gets noticed. Of course it's not as good as that one, but it had to be somewhat of a tryout or something for a bigger match. Please help me put a date/time to this one. Thanks in advance.

WWE Wrestlemania XX DVD in my hands now...

Austin's chant is not canned, he was actually the most over person in the match. People cheered for him like always. When Goldberg made his appearance he got some cheers, but nothing earth-shattering or anything. I booed him, though. I hate Goldberg. Lesnar was booed big time. I believe I was one of the few people who did cheer him, at least around my section. So, the "You sold out" and "na-na goodbye" chants are real. I'm happy they didn't downplay them on the DVD. The Austin chant is real, too, and so is the mild Goldberg chant when he entered.
