Star Wars Ep. III To Feature Longest Fight In Film

What better fights are you talking about? The DragonBall Z rip-off on Matrix Revolutions? People were CHEERING in the theaters with the Yoda/Dooku lightsaber duel, and that's just one example. Nobody I've talked to was impressed with any fight scenes on the Matrix except for the first one. What the hell are you talking about? Do you know anything about the Star Wars story?

100 Greatest Heavy Metal Guitarists Of All Time

Never heard any of Bruce Kulick's solo stuff or his Blackjack records. And I didn't know people were shitting over Bruce because of the COS album. It was a decent dark proyect, IMO. Not one of Kiss' best but highly listeneable. The drum sound I hate, though. And hey, I like Slaughter. They were good in their pop-rock kinda way. One hit wonders, but still enjoyable for the time.

100 Greatest Heavy Metal Guitarists Of All Time

Yes, the solo for "All Hell's Breaking Loose" is pretty terrific. Vinnie Vincent was a very gifted guitarist and composer. Check out both Vinnie Vincent Invasion albums for some extremely cool guitar solos and some pretty good songs. Too bad everything seemed to go over his head. Ever heard his guitar solo version for "Calling Dr. Love?" Waaay overdone, IMO. Seems like he wanted too badly to be a guitar hero. That quasy-guitar-solo on "Lick It Up" must have pissed him off. Bruce Kulik was pretty good, too. But he really came into his own on the Revenge album. My least favorite work of his has got to be the Crazy Nights album. And for some strange reason I really really like his solos from "Tears Are Falling" and "Uh! All NIght". Simple, yet effective. Paul Stanley is Kiss. Kiss is Paul Stanley. That about sums it up.

    Here I Go Again

Their self-titled album from 1987 was one of my favorites at the time and it's still very dear to me to this day. True, Coverdale (or "Cover-version") was mainly a Plant imitator, but he could deliver the notes. "Crying in the Rain", "Still of the NIght", "Here I Go Again" (the Whitesnake album version), they're all terrific tunes IMO. John Sykes was the actual guitar player on the album, but the touring lineup with Adrian Vandemberg and Vivian Campbell (before the Def Leppard dumbing-down) on guitars, Rudy Sarzo on Bass and Tommy Aldrige on drums (the latter two formerly of Ozzy's Blizzard of Ozz) was totally kick-ass. Steve Vai joined for the next album and tour, but by then Whitesnake's music watered down, either by Coverdale's designs or the recor label's pressure. Tawny Kitaen? Hot lady at the time. Those legs, those tits, mmm mmm. She was decebt up until her showings on the "Hercules" TV show.

Benoit can win the World title.

I'll go one better than that. This will most likely be Trips FOURTH WrestleMania Title match. That'll put him above Savage, Michaels, Rock, Hart, and Austin, and second only to Hulk Hogan.

    Best Avengers Line Up

West Coast Avengers? Only if they add Tigra and Mockingbird (who also is on the is dead and is staying dead list as of now). NOOOOOO, no, no, no Tigra or Mockingbird for me. WCA didn't have Thor or Cap, did they?

100 Greatest Heavy Metal Guitarists Of All Time

Eric Carr was a monster on drums. I agree he was way better than Peter and slightly above Singer. Too bad his songwriting skills never came to full fruition with Kiss. He was a very decent singer, too. As far as Ace Frehley goes, I believe his main problem was that sometime in the early 80s his playing skills really became stagnant, as it seemed he was just content with going through the motions. And he was talented as a songwriter, too, as "Cold Gin", "Parasite", "Shock Me", among others, prove.

    Best Avengers Line Up

The Kurt Busiek/George Perez Avengers lineup was awesome. As long as the Cap/Iron Man/Thor trinity is maintained then it's OK with me. Add Hawkeye, Wasp, Vision, Wonder Man and then it's perfect.

What is Michaels doing for Mania?

I was sorta thinking the same thing: They need a final match to end the feud. I was thinking Hell in the Cell, but since there are no more RAW PPVs left till Mania then I Couldn't figure out what type of match would be the decisive one (if there is in fact a final match). And If I'm not mistaken, Benoit did say he'd face either HHH or HBK, right? Or am I reading too much into things?

    Malenko at WMXX?

Sounds very interesting, for sure. But I'm having a little trouble figuring out the concept of a Battle Royal with pinfalls. 10 man elimination match sounds sweet. At least a somewhat decent way to showcase some of the cruisers at WMXX.

What is Michaels doing for Mania?

WAITAMINNIT! When did this happen??? Is it for real or you're just messing? Make it happen! HBK new World Champ!
  12. pochorenella

What is Michaels doing for Mania?

Amen to that. Seriously, now that it seems a lock for Benoit to face the RAW champ then that would be the right thing to do. So of course, it's not gonna happen. Make it HBK vs The Rock. Or HBK vs Kurt Angle. Either one of those (other than the Title match with Benoit) would make me extremely happy.

100 Greatest Heavy Metal Guitarists Of All Time

I agree somewhat. Certainly Ace wasn't (isn't) one of the most technically gifted guitar players, but he got the job done. And I agree that he put the groove on the solos rather than anything else. Still, his wide influence on aspiring guitarists cannot be denied. One of THE most influential ever.

    Oscar Nominations

I actually think Saving Private Ryan is one of the all-time greatest movies that didn't win the Best Picture Oscar, but hey, to each his own. And about LOTR chances this year, I think it does have a better chance than previous years, given that it already won Golden Globes for Best Picture and Director. So it's my front-runner to win, even though I didn't like it as much as Two Towers. Hell, it's not even my favorite movie this year, I just think the Academy voters will give it to Jackson and Co. anyway.

100 Greatest Heavy Metal Guitarists Of All Time

That's funny, because if I was to make a list of the 100 worst guitar players ever, this is about where they'd place. That's the funniest comment i've seen all week. Best Kiss guitar solo's are Detroit Rock City and Love Gun Those are nice solos from two of Kiss' best songs, but there are a few other pretty great solos, most notably "Shock Me". And hey, Paul Stanley, check a pretty cool Best guitar player list on 411mania.com to see our favorite Space Ace rank in the Top Ten! Steve Vai was #1 there. Certainly a better list than that Rolling Stone abortion.

    Mania XX Scenarios

But is it for the Title or is it non-Title? If Goldberg is indeed leaving after WMXX is he just gonna lay down for Brock as a send-off? He certainly can't win the belt if he's not coming back. Or maybe he's turning heel?

    Most Anticipated Movies of 2004

Pretty much what everybody else has mentioned, specially Spider-Man 2. The Man Thing movie looks intriguing, but it's extremely low-budget som I'm doubtful it'll be widely released. Maybe straight to video, a la Fantastic Four.

Cause Stone Cold Said So On DVD!!

It was released rectly as a cheaply priced DVD, along with an old Coliseum Video for Undertaker "He Buries them Alive". I suppose it has no extras or anything, but I'm surprised it has the old logos. The main program was decent for the time, but I'm not sure it would attract people nowadays. For collectors mostly, if you already have it on VHS.

    Help Me Out

You're missing Subdivisions, Finding My Way, Closer To The Heart. YYZ, and Anthem. No Rush comp shoulb be without these songs.

The OAO Rumble Entry prediction thread

Choken, that's some awesome Fantasy Booking. I just hope you're right in picking the winner. Goldberg winning with #30 makes him look very weak IMO, cause he's having it way too easy.

    Stone Cold Truth DVD

You're probably right on the Rock's DVD. But the Confidential vol.2 has been announced for quite some time, and it's weird we still have no info on it yet. As far as pricing goes, I checked amazon.com and it's listed as a single disc with a single-disc price, but still with a nice 30% discount for pre-orders. Release date February 10th, along with the Monday Night War DVD (same price, same discount). BTW, it IS listed as Monday Night War, not Rise and Fall... And as far as the extras goes, if the Main piece is only 1 hour long, then isn't it logical to assume two hours worth of extras? The estras listed might not be the only ones. Hopefully more goodies will come.

    wwe dvds

Am I wrong or Monday Night War was changed to Rise and Fall of WCW for the DVD's US release? Maybe they kept the original title for other countries. Still, worth picking up for the Austin/HBK vs Hart/Bulldog match alone. But I'm still pissed there's no pre-order available from amazon.com yet for this baby. EDIT: Never mind. It's already on Amazon.com pre-order with a nice 30% discount. Release date says February 10th FYI, same as the Stone Cold Truth DVD.

    Stone Cold Truth DVD

I never saw that UPN special but I heard it was rather good, but I'm still not sure about this one. Moreso, I've never even heard about them releasing an Austin DVD until this thread came along. There was no mention of this DVD on previous upcoming releases lists IIRC. They mentioned Rock's Greatest Hits, and Confidential vol. 2 for release in the next few weeks, where are the details on these ones? And BTW, when is this DVD due to be released in the US?
