    Ric Flair DVD

It would truly be an outrage if you had to pay that much for Flair's DVD, even if it's awesome and all. As far as I know Best Buy has the absolute best prices (not counting rebates and stuff) for DVDs anywhere, including those fuckers at Suncoast and FYE. You'll never see me buying in those places EVER with the prices they have. However, I got mine from Amazon.com for $29.71. You shouldn't have to pay more than that.

    St. Anger = "bummer"

I don't think that's really accurate. Master of Puppets was Metallica's first album ever to crack Billboard's Top 30 albums chart and it was their first album to go Gold after touring with the likes of Ozzy Osbourne. Kill 'Em All was later re-released by Elektra Records and eventually went Gold well after ...and Justice For All was released.

    Let it Be...Nakes

I would be very surprised if Britney doesn't open at #1 on Billboard's Top Albums. Not that I like her stuff or anything but all those fan girls will flock to the stores to buy the CD even though that first single with Madonna sucks. I've seen/heard very little promotion for the Beatles CD so I doubt it'll challenge Britney. Remember the "#1" CD had heavy promotion going for it, so it debuted strong and kept going for over 8 million copies. This new one has only word-of-mouth and hardcore fans going for it at best, so if it goes #1 I'll be surprised but happy.

    Captain America

Funny how this thread went from Captain America to Batman in an instant. What do you guys think about Batman saying Cap could probably beat him, but that it would take him a while? This happened in Avengers/JLA #2 in case you're living under a rock.

How do you feel about JLA/Avengers so far

I don't think that's actually true. Firestorm trapped Thor in an "elemental cage" and The Vision unsuccesfully tried to do his intangible-hand-through-the-chest thingie and received some sort of energy feedback. Not exactly defeating the guys, although they did manage to grab the prize first. So I should point out that I tried to show who beat who in the fighting sense, not who beat who in the prize-seeking sense. They were 7-5 in the latter in favor of the DC guys, but only because Captain America let Batman win it.

How do you feel about JLA/Avengers so far

Let's see if I remember, although I think there were few truly decisive victories: Superman beat Thor Iron Man, Hercules, Wonder Man, Vision beat Superman Captain America and Batman went to a mutually-agreed "draw (even if Bats somewhat admitted Cap could beat him, but it would take a while) Wonder Woman had advantage over Hercules She-Hulk was basically toying with Aquaman Superman beat Warbird Wonder Man was about to beat Green Lantern until Supes made the save Flash beat Quicksilver on his Universe and Quicksilver took revenge on his Universe (see, the Speed-Force's only available on DC Earth) Iron Man beat Green Arrow, Captain Atom (with a Hawkeye assist), Flash and a few other guys as well (he was also enhanced by Mother Box) Scarlet Witch beat Hawkman, Black Canary and Blue Beetle That's what I remember at the time. Any I missed or got wrong? Help is welcomed.

    Weekend Box Office Report 11/14 - 11/16

Are you sure about this numbers? I remember the movie being released last week (limited) and making a huge $6 million-plus opening, so that total doesn't make sense.

    WWE DVD release schedule

The Best of Confidential vol.2 will highly depend if there's any good extras included. Remember that vol.1 had Hart vs Michaels in Montreal and Hart vs Bulldog in Wembley, both reason enough to get the DVD. Additionally, any good report pieces from the show itself since vol.1 came out? I don't follow the show regularly so all I can recall is a good Superstar Billy Graham bit they did a few months back. Any idea what they can include here? Best of Angle, and Best of Foley are sure bets for me, regardless of their content. Of course, if the Foley DVD has those great WCW matches with Vader, Nasty Boys, etc. that would be all the more sweeter. And with the Angle one they've got a lot of work ahead, namely the logo-blurring job they have to do with his early stuff. The Monday Night Wars DVD sounds very interesting to say the least. If they do it right this could be tremendous. Mania DVDs are a must, I have all of them so this should be no exception. And for what it's worth, Amazon.com has Survivor Series 2003 set for release on Dec. 23, not the 16th.

The One and Only Smallville Thread

That quote comes straight from "Mallrats". Jeremy London and Jason Lee were discussing that the only woman with a strong enough uterus to hold Supes' baby is Wonder Woman. Pretty funny exchange. Sorry to go off topic.

    Heart

If you want to buy studio CDs and not compilations then you can't go wrong with the albums that have the songs Angelslayer listed: Dreamboat Annie, Heart, Bad Animals, etc. Although, those "Essential" multi-CD comps really cover a lot of ground. As long as the comps have "Barracuda", "Crazy on You", "What About Love" (my favorite), "All I Wanna Do...", etc., then your OK. You same some cash and can buy something else in addition.

Anna Nicole Smith Taunted Into Weightloss

I always liked Anna Nicole back in the day. I have her Playmate video and she's really hot there, and I even have that semi-porn/erotic Fantasies DVD she released when she still looked decent. If she can make it bak to that weight I'll be happy.

How do you feel about JLA/Avengers so far

Even though I really hate Superman and the outcome of that fight pissed me off I learned to live with it. The fact that the other heavy-hitting Avengers piled on Supes and beat the crap out of him amused me to no end. As revealed by the cover to issue #4, he's a main player in the outcome, I'm sure. As for the story lenght, I have no problem with it. I really doesn't feel like a short-4-issue mini-series, it's longer. The pacing it's ok, and Busiek seems to really have the hang of every character. And you really have to admire George Perez's work. It's a real labor of love for him, I'm sure.

    Triumph the Insult Comic Dog

I ordered it on Amazon.com along with the Ric Flair DVD so it should take a couple of weeks to be sent. Still I bought it on the strength of my liking of Triumph because I have no idea what the songs sound like. Also it comes with an DVD as a bonus so that sealed the deal for me.

    AT WM, Lesnar should face...

I love that idea, but I'd also love The Rock vs. HBK. Also, Austin is reportedly getting in shape for whatever reason. Austin vs. Hogan at WM maybe?

    Carlito's Way

I agree it's a terrific movie. I think Sean Penn is the breakout star on the film, his performance is flawless. And Penelope Ann Miller looks more beautiful than ever.
