Why would they collect this total piece of crap is beyond me. They never should have done a sequel to this story in the first place.

Just saw Flair/Sting, Clash of the Champions 1
pochorenella replied to iliketurtles's topic in General Wrestling
I agree on the repetitive statement. Sting gives Flair about 50 hiptosses the whole match! Not a big moveset, huh? Not that I wanted him to bust out 1,000 holds or anything but still. I had high expectations for this match before I ever saw it because of all the reference but it really dissapointed and bored me. -
I read somewhat confirmed reports about upcoming DVDs for Kurt Angle, Mick Foley (a double-disc set), and the Monday Night Wars, but a lot of people are talking about another Austin release for early November. It's not listed on Amazon for preorder or anything like that, so can anybody confirm if this DVD will indeed be released (with source, please?) or is it just especulation?

I may be in the minority but I was bored to hell with that match. Sting used like 50 hiptosses on Flair and that was most of his offense. I've never seen the unification match, though. No complaints on the DVD, it's already pre-ordered on amazon.com, but I would've also liked some other little known/seen singles match and maybe a tag match with the Horsemen, but still this looks like an awesome set.

Weekend Box Office Report - 10/10/03 - 10/12/03
pochorenella replied to a topic in Television & Film
I believe The Rundown was closer to 85 million, but do you figure since Kill Bill is a two-parter that the cost of making it is split in half? You know, like LOTR each movie is listed at 95 million or so when everybody knows the total budget was $300 million. So I believe Kill Bill actually cost more than than and the cost is split, but I'll not venture and say that part II is also listed at $55 million but some figure close to that. Did I make any sense? -
The solo for "Like A Stone" by Tom Morello (Audioslave) is one of the best of the past 12 months. I thought it was worthy of inclusion but this list seems an exact replica of one posted a while back. "Smells Like..." one of the best guitar solos? My God...

Since Stevie really didn't know Sassquatch, then I'll officially third that. The King of Old School is missed in this folder, he was a great go-to guy for overall comics info, and when he gave his opinion it was usually well thought. Sorry about my ignorance, but who's this guy?
-
Guys, the movie hasn't even been released yet and you're already calling for it to win a Best Picture Oscar? That's what I call faith. But you're right, the Oscars are all politics most of the time. I felt like smashing my TV set when Saving Private Ryan didn't win for Best Picture.

They have my money on all those releases as far as I'm concerned. Hopefully they'll announce release dates soon and match lists, but I'm still waiting for that on Flair's DVD and the Cage Matches DVD, even though I already pre-ordered both. I believe it's only a matter of time for Bret Hart's DVD, and hopefully a Benoit DVD (every smart mark's wet dream.)

The Ultimate Ric Flair Collection DVD Cover...
pochorenella replied to Steviekick's topic in The WWE Folder
I believe Amazon.com has it cheaper on pre-order. -
I didn't get any tix ) even though I tried like crazy), but I think I might be in the NY area by that time, so if you guys welcome non-WM attendees then I'd love to be there with you people. Of course, if they release a few more tickets before the show I'll try again to make it. That would be my third WM, I was there for 2000 and for X-7.
-
I didn't get anything today either. I feel like shooting my computer or smash it to bits. I'm damn jealous of everybody who got tix. NOw if you'll excuse me, I'll go to my room and cry right now.
-
411Mania is reporting that tomorrows tickets should sell out even faster than today's. I'll still give it a shot tomorrow. If I'm not lucky then Fuck my modem conection!
-
Thanks, man. I'll try it right now.

Can somebody please help me with a somewhat accurate Smackdown Shut Your Mouth Moveset for Low Ki? The closest finishers I've found so far are a Fisherman Buster and the Dragon senton, but I need all of his other moves. I've looked in Gamefaqs.com (the best site I know) but there's none listed. Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance. Edit: I also need instructions for CAW for Christopher Daniels. Thanks again.
-
It seems I tried a hundred times but I've had no luck with tix. Now I just click "Any price" and still nothing. Everything's gone in less than 1 hour. Tomorrow I'll try again and hopefully the gods will smile upon me.

Hey Paul, I also had a bad experience with Ticketmaster for the Sept.12 concert in West Palm Beach, so I did get one of those "fancy" packages, as you call them, at Kissonline.com (a Gold one, to be precise) and I had a great experience, even though I was hoping to get the VIP pass or get upgraded, but hell, you can't win them all. And everybody was PISSED that Kiss came before Aerosmith. The Kiss Army was the majority and damn, we were not disappointed with the performance! Kiss rules.

Well, the picture looks fine to me. The Jedi are supposed to be (at this point, at least) all clean-cut looking people, that with their nice hairdos and stuff. Here Anakin looks kinda scrubby and like he didn't wash his hair or something and has a mean-type look in his eyes. I just think it fits with his expected downfall. But I guess we'll have to see more pictures or footage to really tell.
-
Let's just leave it like that. You think that picture looks "ghey," then more power to you.
-
You're entitled to your opinion, but you don't have to answer like you think you're better than me, you punk. If you just don't like Star Wars just say so, don't be a wise ass.
-
I just KNEW somebody would say this the very instant I read the Topic. It seems everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, at one time or another, looks "ghey" to some people. Care to explain in what manner does this look "ghey?"
-
I'd add Hugo Savinovich and Carlos Cabrera, and even go so far as name them the best team. Just push the SAP button on your TV remote and voila!

I bought the first issue last week and it's everything I hoped for. Tons of characters, handled beautifully by the master George Perez, terrific art all around, and a story that left me hungry for more. Kurt Busiek also handled the JLA like an expert, making each of them sound exactly like they should. I don't want to spoil anything to those who haven't read it yet, but when you guys are ready to discuss details I'll be here. Lots to talk about in that department. And I'm SURE this will degenerate into a "This guy beats That guy" down the line. Hell, it's already started if the last couple of pages with Supes and Thor are any indication.

Didn't we do this thread just a few weeks ago? Anyway, stricltly GN speaking, God Loves Man Kills is my top choice. If we're talking TPBs, then Marvels, hands down. Best. TPB. Ever.
