  1. It's going to be unspeakably cool to see the WWE tryout of E&C and the surprise IC title win. I still remember reading about that on some newz site when it happened. I never thought I'd get to watch it. Also, I remember really liking that Raw match between Rated RKO.

I remember that IC Title switch was available for free on WWF.com years ago with no commentary, which is where I saw it. And yes, Orton vs. Edge from RAW was terrific.

  2. I was on WWE.com this morning and looked at the List This because sometimes they are kinda cool and have some cool thrown back moments. Not this one. Right now they are doing the Greatest Betrayal's in WWE History. Number 9 was Cody Rhodes turning on Hardcore Holly. Really? A tag team that albeit held the titles for a while, generally wasn't on TV during their reign? They have two more to go and only 1 wasn't in the past ten years. Some of them, like Austin turning heel against the Rock at Wrestlemania X-7 are classic moments, but I don't see that as a betrayal, as they weren't alligned. So, long story short, Rhodes turning on Holly and McMahon turning on Hornswoggle were some of the greatest betrayals in wrestling history. Right now, I'm screaming for even Tatanka's heel turn against Luger!

At that rate I wouldn't be surprised to see them rank Windham turning on Bradshaw to break up the New Blackjacks.

  3. In a nice bit of continuity, Candice Michelle wore the same robe to the ring that she wore at last year's No Mercy, where she lost the Women's Title to Beth Phoenix.

Good eye for detail there. I hated her wrestling outfit, though. She's looked hotter before and this time she did nothing for me. And since we're on the subject of the women's match, I really liked how Beth countered the Candywrapper into her double chickenwing facebuster.

  4. Given the dismal numbers the WrestleMania special got on thursday it doesn't look that good for SD! on MyNetwork. Still, I thought it was a great show that the spoilers certainly didn't do any justice (Big Show didn't run scared from Taker and Trips just barely won and then got majorly punked). I specially liked the six-man tag and the main event 3-way, and the opening bout was extremely enjoyable.

  5. That's still bogus if you ask me ... 3-Disc sets for both Kane & Edge , but Perfect had only 2 discs. WTF!

Don't forget the "New & Improved DX" DVD; six months of content somehow warranted a three-DVD set.

That set sold an insane number of copies so I'd say it was an intelligent decision to make it 3 discs, even if the general smartmark fanbase hated it.

  6. From amazon.com, cover art for Edge's 3-disc dvd set, coming out December 23rd.

Fans may love to hate Edge, but they'll love this impressive collection of matches where Edge has won the WWE Championship (2 times), World Heavyweight Championship (2 times), Intercontinental Championship (5 times), U.S. Championship, WWE Tag Team Championship, and World Tag Team Championship (11 times!). To date, the "Rated R Superstar" has never had a DVD collection highlighting his amazing career, but Edge--A Decade of Decadence changes that. This 3-DVD set will feature dozens of the greatest matches and moments from Edge's career.

  7. I think this was another good step forward for the series, as I'm specially liking the possibilities of this new Sylar/HRG dynamic. I really like Hiro but I believe he needs to wisen up pretty soon on his wanting to do good but mostly screwing up, although I'd hate to see him lose that geekyness that makes him so likeable. And for those who asked for Micah's whereabouts, there he was, now don't ever show up again.

  8. How good are the Smackdown matches against Angle and Rey? Does the Angle match hold up to their WMXX match at all?

The March 18, 2004 Championship Match versus Rey Mysterio I remember as being truly great stuff, possibly better than anything they did on their 2005 series. I vaguely remember that series of matches with Kurt so I cannot say if they matched their ManiaXX or SummerSlam outings.

  9. So if I'm not mistaken this might be the first Raw in Minneapolis since I went to one in 2003. That was a fun night,I'm pretty sure this was the night there was a dark match with Brock and Shelton Benjamin coming to the ring with Jesse Ventura and Brock actually pulled off the Shooting Star Press.

I was there too, that was a great Raw all around, that was a good dark match, wish I could remember the opponents for Brock and Shelton? I'm drawing a blank but I think it was some significant guys.

If it's the match that aired on OVW TV then it could be the Disciples of Synn that faced Brock and Shelton (the Minnessota Stretching Crew.)

  10. I loved both new episodes, but it seems a lot of people didn't care. The show placed a far 3rd place on monday with a 6.1 rating. I still question the logic on moving the show to it's current timeslot. It's gonna get killed by MNF, Dancing with the Whatevers, etc. But it's got me hooked again so yay.
