SHIMMER is cool, however, I would be cautious, as the pay sites like Clickwrestle and Slam can clean a guy's pocketbook out pretty fast. (Seriously, Slam, 25 dollars for a 30 minute match is BS, you can get two two-hour Shimmer DVDs with that money) As far as the WWE having a disaster year, it probably was, but WWE is going to do everything to make you forget about it. You know, like they did with Benoit, and the part of the roster that was on roids, and the people fired this year who pissed off Vince at the wrong time.

Has WWE learned ANYTHING? Yeah, say that someone had a heart attack and nearly died because of drugs. Brilliant. Because that isn't happening enough in the real world so that Congress is going after you. And didn't Al Wilson "die" because Dawn Marie fucked him so hard his heart gave out? Seriously, WWE Wedding time = time to watch something else.

They're not going to give the title to a guy whose involved in a public embarrassing situation. Umaga and Morrison have already paid the price for it. They gave the WWE title to JBL when CNBC fired him after he gave the Nazi salute in Germany. And that was two years ago. Morrison and Umaga are expendable because those titles mean nothing. I'd be surprised if Orton didn't win the title.

What Would It Take You To Stop Watching WWE Programming
Karc replied to Nate's topic in The WWE Folder
The Invasion angle ruined my general interest in WWE, it showed how things were really going to work around there, and I didn't care to see it. But Trish leaving did it for me. I've never looked back. -
For every newsbit that gets posted, there are 3 WWE writers editing this to form a wrestling angle. As for the Wikipedia thing, Benoit going home was known for a few days before the PPV, someone just leaped to conclusions before checking things out. Not that is was hard to do, Jarrett's wife has passed away a few weeks ago.
-
WWE will never change, ever. The media is trying to link Benoit's death to steroids because it fits the stigma that wrestlers die young because of steroid use. If the incident is ever mentioned in something like a congressional hearing, WWE will win it. What bothers the hell out me now is waiting for the inevitable exploitation of these deaths for a wrestling angle. Or McMahon returning from the grave to blast the media outlets that blame WWE for the deaths. It's a very sad, and scary time to be a wrestling fan right now.
-
Yeah, this isn't exactly the way I wanted the McMahon death angle to end. The fact that this isn't a normal death worries the hell out of me, more than most.
-
This is what happens when politics take over video games. Not surprised.
-
WWE should go all out with the angle, because if it flops, it's USA's fault for suggesting that McMahon do something crazy.

CNBC Thinks That WWE Could Potentially Be Sued By Stockholders
Karc replied to Oldschool's topic in The WWE Folder
Suing WWE for this angle now would only prolong the angle. The WWE.com thing, though, does interest me. There was a time when they put legitmate news on that site, but if the site is going to continue propagating worked stories, then it needs to put in its TOS that it is an entertainment site only and a work of fiction. 36 million hits on that website and a declining stock tell me that people are into the storyline, and not in a good way. Either they think it's real and believe WWE is doomed, or they know it's fake and are pissed. And a stockholder should be very concerned about that. -
well, i've managed to avoid the bug for a while, but now i have some crap called eZunga that re-directs all my yahoo and google searches. Spybot can't get it, Ad-Aware can't get it, Norton doesn't get it, system restore didn't work. What do I do? Is getting IE 7 the only way?

I have mp4 files, but i can't see them in my PSP. Do I need to add a folder or something to the memory stick?

Two black coaches are in the Super Bowl. That's good enough for me. I won't watch the game, but that's good enough for me.

The former. That 15 yard facemask was bullshit. 5 yes, but not fuckin' 15. Awesome, can't wait to see the FCC wail on Fox for that. 15,000 dollar fine per affiliate for a nationally televised event is a heap of change. It was hard to tell with the girl's perky breasts in the way.

Oh man, Cena's toast in 2008. I bet Steph is crying harder. Gonna be hard doing that BUTT stuff when he can't even stand up.

HTQ should change his name to HTQ2. For a couple of old guys trying to relive the glory days of ten years ago, it's nicely ironic that this is the way reality bit them back in the ass. I can't seem to get to the site, must be traffic. Exactly how many smarks are actually checking WWE.com to see if this is legit?

The PS3 was meant for hardcore gamers. Everyone else could care less. My problem with the launch was that such a rare system, if it was really something out of the gate, would only see one or two auctions on eBay for every ten up there now. There was no real rush to play the system, and the auctions show it. The Wii is only making 400 or so for an auction because the system's cheaper, it's more readily available, and people want to play Zelda. I agree, this doesn't say anything about the PS3's future. But it does say a lot about the video game consumer. They aren't a niche market of smart buyers anymore. They are tools now, just like any music, movie, or sports fan.

I would think that with all of the first-person shooters being "touted" as the great games of the next generation, the war supporters would encourage more gameplay. The Ebay sales are the obvious sign to me that the PS3 is not a console meant for fun. The actual number of PS3 sold is actually around 250,000. And 20,000 of those went on EBay. The numbers will spike again the week before Christmas.

Buffy was the focal character. The cheerleader is a minor character. They whore'd out Buffy too, literally, since she slept with every guy on the show. And yes, sex always is used to sell women on television. Television is the last place to look for a strong female character who doesn't need sex to sell their show.

Groom Shot & Killed By Police On Wedding Day
Karc replied to milliondollarchamp's topic in Current Events
That's actually not a bad idea, since I'm sterile and everything. -
Once I heard the whole "save the cheerleader save the world" crap as a cheap excuse to whore out the teenage girl for ratings, I was done with this show.

FOX News planning right-leaning show similar to Daily Show
Karc replied to DerangedHermit's topic in Current Events
The Daily Show is a comedy show on a comedy network. Why is Fox trying to put on a comedy show on a news network? If they really want to fuck with Jon Stewart, just call him gay and hire an actor to play his ex-lover. Works every time. -

This happened in New York City. I don't care what happens in New York City. Just curious, was the bride a white chick? And is she hot? -
Princess Lena? Never heard of ya. Is the Queen a MILF, though?
