I thought New York didn't allow MMA yet?

    Booker T's New T-Shirt

There have been some really bad shirts in the past, but having a name on it doesn't make it a bad shirt. If you're that embarassed to be a wrestling fan in public, that's your problem, but a name won't make me not wear a shirt. It's more I can't buy them in a store(unless someone knows of a real store that sells WWE or TNA shirts)

    VHS is dead

Well, I went last night, I got WCW Slamboree and Bash at the Beach '99, neither were great, but eh, I wanted to own some more WCW, Wrestlemania 15, which screwed up my VCR and made me use a head cleaner, but it was only toward the end, and Rumble and No Way Out from 2001. They also had a ton of UFCs and other stuff, I am so making another trip

Actually, I recall he had a match with Eddie back at a Bash at the Beach, it's on Eddie's DVD, and he shows he can do comedy and knows his spots, I think he's holding himself back something fierce to be WWE style

It was WWF Attitude, the company lost Attitude either when it changed the name or perhaps earlier depending on your perspective, but anyhow, I'm curious, do you prefer MMA or boxing or something like that to wrestling? And if you don't like "actual wrestling" what do you prefer? A Austin style brawl?

See, I love Regal and everything, but really, his style only works with a very few people, like Benoit, and I think that's part of why it took a long time for me to like him,m he was doing the stupid brass knucks thing and his style just doesn't mesh with most

Okay, here we go... Early on, I resented JBL winning the title from Eddie, but nowadays, he has become a very good character and well...he's literally morphing into a bigger Stan Hansen after ripping him off all these years the Hardy Boys should have never been broken up, I think Matt helped keep Jeff stable. WWE should try to get Alber/Bernard back and use him in Mark Henry's role as Davari's enforcer speaking of Henry, he reminds me of Andre the Giant in his later years, except that Andre had a good reason to be lazy, he was sick Ted DiBiase should have some kind of on air role, if only as a manager WWE should look into having Bobby Heenan return in some form as well, he's still got it, and while he doesn't sound the same, he can still talk Moolah and Mae Young should never ever show up on WWE programming except at Hall of Fame and such. Actually, they should go and do an extensive interview and such with the two of them before they die, but they should bnever be back in the ring or anything Kane deserves a World title run Mick Foley needs to decide if he will be a full time wrestler or retired, he can't just keep coming back like this. If he needs the limited schedule like Taker, that's one thing Speaking of Taker, have him remain undefeated, and keep him away from the title, but he can still work in limited capacity Khali should not be in the company if he cannot safely execute his own finisher, and I don't mean his karate chop. Speaking of the martial arts, another true martial artist character would be cool, a Bruce Lee type as opposed to Tajiri, although I like him too Anyone who does not serve a purpose as a wrestler, manager, orauthority should be cut Women who wrestle should be able to wrestle a competant match, like the guys, and Torrie Wilson simply does not cut it. If she can't be a manager, send her on her way WWE badly needs to re establish their tag division, if on;y as a way to get younger wrestlers a start, espcially if they insist on calling up wrestlers early. Chris Masters wouldn't be nearly as offensive to people, I think, if he had debuted in a tag team. John Cena needs to tweak his gimmick. He coems off as a total poser, unlike someone like Ron Killings if one were to compare two wrestlers with a hip hop gimmick. He makes me think of the worst of Clear Channel endorsed rap, like 50 Cent, so perhaps this is where Million Dollar Man is used, to buy Cena and make him the new Million Dollar Champion. Randy Orton, Triple H, and Jeff Jarrett are not necessarily bad wrestlers, but HHH and JJ are over exposed and Orton suffers from very strange booking. That's all that comes to mind for now

The local FYE also has tapes where I am, but I've bought most of the wrestling tapes, at last check they have Best of WCW Uncensored(which I have), Best of Confidential, and Brock Lesnar Here Comes the Pain. I have a nice chunk of 2002 WWE via $5 tapes

    Tego Calderon

I hadn't heard King of Kings until I bought the CD on Tuesday. It sounds really forced, I can see why it isn't Trip's regular theme. Rey's theme is annoying, but at least I have some idea that they're speaking, the theme he used in between the old "Who's that jumping out the sky" and this I couldn't understand at all....but then I only heard it once or twice. Big Show is doomed to have some version of that song his whole career, kinda like Kane, but I really like Kane's Finger Eleven Song. The full version of Orton's theme is interesting, it's so very arrogant and fits his character even better with this intro. Batista's theme is good, I liked his orginal instrumental as well, but this isn't too bad. Carlito needed a face theme, he could've gotten worse. I skip the rap and women's themes most of the time, so i don't have much of an opinion on them. I just wonder if there will be a ton of generic music on DVDs as time goes on since WWE no longer wants to make their own music. I also don't see why they feel the need to give people like Torrie new music. Her old one was fine, you knew who it was when it hit, it was distinctive. She's also about the worst wrestler on the roster, male or female, and frankly I give greater priority to other parts if the roster. For example, I'm sure a punk band could do something fun for London and Kendrick since they don't want to use "Hey You" any more for whatever reason. Oh, and RVD's new theme sounds fine, I like them reusing the riff from hisold one to help you idenitfy it, but I see nothing wrong with "One of a Kind"

My real name generates "Beefy Venus"....ewww.... but my name here gives me "Massive Killer"

Who is the defining artist of this generation?

When you talk about the Dead, though, you have to understand that the albums were secondary, playing live was the thing. I think they set the record for most tickets sold.

There are so many wonderful song lyrics, here's some highlights: From "Box of Rain" by the Grateful Dead Walk into splintered sunlight Inch your way through dead dreams to another land Maybe you're tired and broken Your tongue is twisted with words half spoken and thoughts unclear What do you want me to do to do for you to see you through A a box of rain will ease the pain and love will see you through Just a box of rain - wind and water - Believe it if you need it, if you don't just pass it on Sun and shower - Wind and rain - in and out the window like a moth before a flame It's just a box of rain I don't know who put it there Believe it if you need it or leave it if you dare But it's just a box of rain or a ribbon for your hair Such a long long time to be gone and a short time to be there "Forever Young" I know the Rod Stewart version but I'm told Dylan wrote it May the good Lord be with you Down every road you roam And may sunshine and happiness surround you when you're far from home And may you grow to be proud Dignified and true And do unto others As you'd have done to you Be courageous and be brave And in my heart you'll always stay Forever Young, Forever Young Forever Young, Forever Young May good fortune be with you May your guiding light be strong Build a stairway to heaven with a prince or a vagabond And may you never love in vain and in my heart you will remain Forever Young, Forever Young Forever Young, Forever Young Forever Young Forever Young And when you finally fly away I'll be hoping that I served you well For all the wisdom of a lifetime No one can ever tell But whatever road you choose I'm right behind you, win or lose Forever Young, Forever Young Forever Young ,Forever Young Forever Young, Forever Young For, Forever Young, Forever Young "Mandolin Wind" another Stewart song When the rain came I thought you'd leave 'cause I knew how much you loved the sun But you chose to stay, stay and keep me warm through the darkest nights I've ever known If the mandolin wind couldn't change a thing then I know I love ya Oh the snow fell without a break Buffalo died in the frozen fields you know Through the coldest winter in almost fourteen years I couldn't believe you kept a smile Now I can rest assured knowing that we've seen the worst And I know I love ya Oh I never was good with romantic words so the next few lines come really hard Don't have much but what I've got is yours except of course my steel guitar Ha, 'cause I know you don't play but I'll teach you one day because I love ya I recall the night we knelt and prayed Noticing your face was thin and pale I found it hard to hide my tears I felt ashamed I felt I'd let you down No mandolin wind couldn't change a thing Couldn't change a thing no, no The coldest winter in almost fourteen years could never, never change your mind And I love ya Yes indeed and I love ya And I love ya Lordy I love ya "Your Song" by Elton John It's a little bit funny this feeling inside I'm not one of those who can easily hide I don't have much money but boy if I did I'd buy a big house where we both could live If I was a sculptor, but then again, no Or a man who makes potions in a travelling show I know it's not much but it's the best I can do My gift is my song and this one's for you And you can tell everybody this is your song It may be quite simple but now that it's done I hope you don't mind I hope you don't mind that I put down in words How wonderful life is while you're in the world I sat on the roof and kicked off the moss Well a few of the verses well they've got me quite cross But the sun's been quite kind while I wrote this song It's for people like you that keep it turned on So excuse me forgetting but these things I do You see I've forgotten if they're green or they're blue Anyway the thing is what I really mean Yours are the sweetest eyes I've ever seen and finally, "God Only Knows" by the Beach Boys I may not always love you But long as there are stars above you You never need to doubt it I'll make you so sure about it God only knows what I'd be without you If you should ever leave me Though life would still go on believe me The world could show nothing to me So what good would living do me God only knows what I'd be without you God only knows what I'd be without you If you should ever leave me Well life would still go on believe me The world could show nothing to me So what good would living do me God only knows what I'd be without you

    Official Judgement Day Thread

Actually it makes sense. It presents UT with a sense of vulnerability and it builds to the rematch where 'Taker reaches to a place he never reached before, deeper then the darkest corners of his heartless soul to slay the demon. Indeed. Plus, it doesn't kill Khali by losing to Taker in a later PPV now... He HAD to have a match against Taker where he didn't look weak. Job done. I applaud this booking, as I really feared Taker would just beat him like he does every other rising star, and Khali rots and dies. I agree with the theory that Khali will die at GAB

Songs you hate by artists you like

for some reason I cannot stand the studio version of "Sloop John B" by the Beach Boys. I also dislike Rod Stewart's recent career move to sing nothing but the Great American Songbook. I know he can do better. One album was enough.
