Eh, I don't mind DBZ that much. Fun for seeing super crazy brawls. However, I do prefer the prequel series, Dragonball. Less uberness, more just plain ol' fun. Oh heck yes, Dragonball blows DBZ out of the water, but I guess DBZ has a pro wrestling type of feel to it, and there is a fair amount of tension to the actual fights

Well, Sting never spoke during that entire thing. Joe, would just need good facials. Joe can cut good promos and he has had some of the best shoot interviews out there as he is a very good story-teller. While I'll take your word on Joe, Sting being silent works because of his getup, if Joe is in the rafters or he just stares at people from where ever, it's gonna look dumb

I haven't heard Joe on the mike, so I'll take the fall and ask "Can Joe carry a story without wrestling?"

While we're talking about combat anime movies, what is everyone's favorite DBZ movie? My favorite is probably Dead Zone, mostly for the humorous sequences, like Gohan getting drunk on....an apple, I think?

Y'know what amazes me? My mom hates wrestling with a passion, btu she was lazy and watched Smackdown with us last summer and when Eddie died, she couldn't understand why I was upset because she had gotten fooled for a minute there. For all of the goofiness in that feud, Eddie and Rey pulled it off very well, and perhaps it's poor performances and a lack of connection with the crowd that's hurting them too. Everyone can relate to a man who loves his son and wants to keep him, and people are fully aware of the screwy adoption rules in the States(or, i think they are). Does that make any sense?

I think also that folks look down on what is presented as a competition despite being worked. I once pointed(not in these words) out to co workers who mentioned that to me that James Bond is worked, yet you can go and enjoy a James Bond movie. In fact, I think when we wrestling fans are confronted with such a scenario, we should also point out that wrestling is an art form of sorts, a drama, and how many Hollywood actors out there work every week, in and out unless hurt, have to pay for their own travel for the most part, never use stuntmen, take chairshots directly to the body, and even take a razor blade to their own forehead to bleed? None. Jackie Chan is the closest actor to a pro wrestler. and even he gets retakes and doesn't have to be on the road full time. I think once more people understand it on those terms, there will be a greater appreciation for wrestling. It would also help if Vinnie Mac didn't have the biggest wrestling show on the planet, because he seems determined to make me embarassed to be a fan.

Speaking of MMA fighters, what do people think of Kimo's work? It comes off as very tacky to me, personally, I understand he believes in God and all that and it's good for him, but I think was really knocks it over the top is all the random nonsense around the crucifix

The only time I've bought a DVD at Eb was one time I found the first season of Buffy for $15 used, I thought it was a good deal at the time, although I'm certainly no expert on Buffy boxed set prices. I need to go and finish watching that, now that I think of it

The show was short, but it was solid, few boring points(although for some reason I find the Frankensteiners to be very bland and their heel work just doesn't sit right with me, I dunno). The layers of depth in the OAOAST main event continue, which is great. I just can't see NRG turning face, so I have a feeling they'll be clobbered at the PPV. For some reason I keep getting worked shoot vibes from the Black T vs Hoff/Drek promos. I think I'll stop here, my mind is quite clealy melting on me

Monetary policy (setting the interest rate), the FDIC...I fully agree we need those. I'm against more of the social regulations such as EPA guidelines, Affirmative Action quotas, that sort of thing. So I guess not only do you not care about the poor, and the uninsured, but you hate the planet too? Splendid. I find it hilarious and ironic how a lot of conservative folks like to ignore problems such as poverty and the rammifications of it, yet fail to realize or just ignore the plain and simple fact that poverty causes much bigger long term fiscal issues. There will always be poor people just for classifications purposes. If the median income of the US goes up, they'll just raise the poverty line threshold. So there will always be some percentage of people living below that line. There will always be 'poor' people. If there are 'rich', then there must be poor as well. Its all in how you look at things. So....we shouldn't do anything and let our fellow human beings live in the streets?
