Comments that don't warrant a thread
Masked Man of Mystery replied to {''({o..o})''}'s topic in Video Games
I've got it, but...maybe I have the term wrong, I always thought level grinding was when you went out and just fought and fought and fought the normal baddies while not particularly advancing through the map, but rather working to level up and possibly acquire a new attack to take on a boss or such -

Dragon Quest 8 is a lot of fun, despite having to level grind here and there, it's pretty fun and has an interesting, if not totally original story. If you haven't played Final Fantasy 10, I'd reccomend that as well, it probably keeps you in the story better, and it's easier, but they're both Greatest Hits now and worth checking out. I guess I'd say DQ8 before 10, though -
TNA Comments which don't warrant a thread

Sabin's a guy who gets over with his moveset, I think I've said this before, but I love seeing the guy walk out, he's got good music, although it fit him better before he went to the new look, and he's always going to give a solid, exciting effort. I'd really like to see him win the X title again and try the feud with Petey again, that was all kinds of cool -
Just a silly little thread where we can comment on stuff outside of shows. I got around to changing my entrance theme again, as noted in the match from last week. I don't plan on being active for a while, since the immediate face turn of Brock is going to make things awkward and well, school is coming up and Otaku did SSP the taple.

Whatever it is, I'm definately out, the teachers are nuts this year, sorry everyone, if you need Otaku or Ayane or Mike, or even Tony, just PM me. Satan's Foot Soldiers can be used anytime -
It's definately spooky and probably was cathartic for Cobain, and I love the tune, TNA and WCW did a good job ripping it off, but the lyrics seem very random to me. And yes, I realize that the Dead wrote some darn strange lyrics too. I'm not complaining, just making a point.
-
The lyrics certainly do seem.....random....you must admit that.

Also, they just plain reverse too much in Smackdown vs. Raw 2006. DOR2 isn't perfect, but that series is headed to much better places than Smackdown is.
-
No problem. The quicker you pick up on this stuff, the less some of the crazies around here will get on your case

I occasionally see a CD in my store by Mr. Zappa called "Cheap Thrills" is it just a cheap greatest hits disc, or what? I haven't listened to any of his music yet, but I'm looking for something to give a shot and if this gives me some idea of his sound, I'd be willing to give it a try

I know you're new here, and you're excited and everything, but there are two fine threads for you to use for things like this. WWE Comments that don't warrant a thread, and the WWF/WWE Tidbits From the Past. The later, of course, is better for old school questions.

I wouldn't want to rain on your parade by announcing I'm going inactive in your thread -
So....are they just ignoring the Gamecube this year and not making a DoR3? I haven't heard a word about it

It's a breakup song, I think.

Except that Irwin NEVER under estimated how dangerous the aninimals he worked with were(with the possible exception of that time he put his infant near the crocodiles) and...in fact, the last time I ever saw him, on the cable at work, he was telling a cautionary tale of how to properly handle being trapped in the water with a crocodile.
-
RIP, I never thought he'd die like this, I somehow believed he'd live long enough to retire and live a long, happy life. Best nature show host ever, I think. He really made you care

Please, sir, do explain why you think this is a dumb song It's the fucking Eagles. And? C'mon man, give me a better argument than that

Agreed he doesn't need to be involved in the Eddie story, but if anything, I think Benoit finally fulfilled his character, doing things like headbutts and such to make an opponent stop resisting him in holds. I'd like to see him get one more run with the belt, but he doesn't need to hang around forever either

Has anyone gotten a chance to check out this new Castle of Cagliostro DVD Manga put out? I have the old one from way back when, it was pretty extra less, but this is supposed to be a 2 disc set
-
Congrats to Alf and Agent

Nick Dinsmore is also in there wrestling with Lenny Lane against Scott Steiner. Thanks for posting these

I think it's a case of it being the big PPV of the year and the "important" event to have in your collection, if you own wrestling videos. For example, WrestleMania XV isn't very good, but I have the DVD sitting on my shefl waiting to be watched every March. The past few Wrestlemanias have also generally been good, if not great outside of the fluff Diva segment and whatever Cena's in

I'd like to thank Alf publically for adding to the match and really making it better and fit the stips a bit better. I'll see if I can get around to HTMLing the show again

Star Trek: The Digital Generation
Masked Man of Mystery replied to Anakin Flair's topic in Television & Film
I'll be interested to see it, but I wonder if this will have the backlash levels of the Star Wars Special Editions. I've never seen a ton of the original series though. Most of the Next Gen effects were perfectly fine, the Borg would be the only thing I could see needing some touch ups
