I'll probably just have a segment advancing Ayane vs. Lindsay

Thank God in heaven. Smackdown needs all the credibility it can get.

Any more updates on the show?

I personally hope Ken Shamrock comes back into wrestling, maybe works his feud with Tito in TNA since both of them are on the downside of their MMA careers AND Tito called out Shamrock after UFC 48

The show was pretty good, I wish I could've put more into my little promo, but I've been working a lot this week so I haven't had the time or energy, so I'll try to make up for it at the Great Angle Bash with segs and my match(es). I really like how this main event feud is going, even if i don't know all the history behind it. I was sort of confounded by the women's match, I wasn't expecting a squash there, and, my only complaint, his name is spelled Otaku, not Okatu(I have no idea if that's even a word in Japanese), but I appreciate the effort made.

Ayane Mitsui vs. Lindsay Gonzalez and Otaku II, Mike "The Punisher" Guerriero, "The Sheriff" Tony Capella, and Ayane Mitsui vs. Asmodai, Mephisto, Belial, and Lilith in a Survivor match I made up the concept of the match, if there's something else called that, I'll come up with something else, but my idea is two wrestlers start, then when one is pinned, the next memeber of the team goes in until one team is eliminated, but no tags can be made

Also, finishing moves, within the promotion, at least, should be semi protected in that if someone else wants to use it from time to time(ie in WWF Paul London and Billy Kidman both use the SHooting Star Press, as long as it's used as a finisher by both, I don't see the problem, same with Lesnar at Wrestlemania 19, if he hit that, it finished the match. Things like that can also lead to nice, basic, old school feuds over who is the "master" of the move which make perfect sense and don't involve raping fake corpses, overt racism, or voodoo

I personally always look for the finisher to look like it hurts. Hogan's Leg Drop can be explained by the fact that you have a 300 lb or so man dropping a tree trunk of a leg across your throat, that should knock the air out of you, and remember, a finisher doesn't have to be death, it only has to keep them from getting up before a 3 count. With the People's Elbow, Rock has planted you with either the spinebuster or the Rock Bottom, both good finishers in their own right, and now he's putting the edge of his elbow into your chest, again, the breath should be knocked out of you. The Worm just doesn't have the same effect, nor does the FU, thus I dislike them. AT least the standard FU he usually uses, his sitout variation is much better, as is the Samoan Powerbomb version. Submission holds where the opponent can't easily counter are also good. Examples are the Sharpshooter, the Crossface, and the Figure 4 once it gets locked in. The Ankle Lock is sold all wrong, because that should be, especially with boots, a tap out quick move, because otherwise Angle should be able to break your ankle with it, it's that sort of move. He'd be much better off going back to using the Olympic Slam, which is just a setup now and he uses what could be a perfect opportunity to pin to pull off the straps, which is plain out dumb

What about that Blitzkreig fellow who retired to go work in some technical company or something?

Romney Strikes Back: Gay marriage ban
Masked Man of Mystery replied to Jobber of the Week's topic in Current Events
No one is talking about forcing religons to recognize gay religons, we are talking about civil marriages which means visitation rights, tax benefits, etc. Think of it this way: the sex advice columnist Dan Savage, a gay man. can get a liscence to marry a lesbian who he doesn't love, won't ever have anything beyond a professional relationship with, but he can't marry his partner, who he loves and lives with. He actually went and tried something like this, which is why I'm thinking of it. And, if marriage should be inherently relilous, does that mean atheists should've be allowed to get married? Just food for thought. By the way, I'm one of those odd stright folks who support gay marriage -

Which wrestler, dead or alive, past or present but
Masked Man of Mystery replied to zyn081's topic in General Wrestling
I would love to see Bret Hart. It's funny(I'm going to ramble here, so be warned), I grew up with friends who loved wrestling, but I was not allowed to watch it, because my mother feared it would corrupt me or something. But I knew about some people, and I played the Wrestlemania game at the local arcade. Fast forward to late 98, maybe early 99, I'm in Blockbuster and I see WWF Warzone, and there's nothing else I particularly want to rent so I rent it. I had no idea who a lot of these people were, but I had a lot of fun with it and I ended up buying a used copy of it from Blockbuster. Then I get a magazine with the hidden moves each wrestler has(for some reason, a bunch of moves were left out of the in game move guide) and the finishers. While I could almost never get submissions, I gt really good with Bret Hart, and I kept wanting and wanting to see him, and I had no idea the Montreal Screwjob happened. To this day, I haven't seen a lot of complete Bret Hart matches(mostly clipped things from WCW's old highlight videos), but I just love his style everytime I do see him wrestle, and I'd pay good money to see him live and hear the his old WWF music again. I was SO disappointed with the version of him in Smackdown vs. Raw, but then, I was disappointed with that game in general, and I really hope they do release that Bret DVD that we've had rumors about. By the way, my character in OAOAST, Otaku II, uses the Sharpshooter as my tribute to Bret, but I haven't had an opportunity to use it yet. Okay, I'm done rambling. -
Yeah, my friend used to live in Georgia and he said Zell was a somewhat normal Dem until he got into Congress and he became a Democrat in name only, I mean, you don't go and speak at the opposing party's national convention, that was screwed up

Or even four people, which is what I should have said, but I don't feel like editing right now

Actually, now that I think of it, CLAMP might be the other exception to the rule, because I think each of them does something, but heck they certainly have assistants by now, because no single human being can draw all of those lines in their newer stuff, I can't even make out what's going on in some of their action scenes.

Who deserves to be a World Champion but never has
Masked Man of Mystery replied to zyn081's topic in General Wrestling
Rey Mysterio has the talent and the popularity, and he's passable on the mic, but he will almost guaranteed never be the world champ because he's so small. London might be in this predicament soon too, I'm not sure he's over enough with the marks. Charlie Haas could be someone the company could build upon, I think, if they either reunited him with Shelton, or at least got him away from Hardcore. I must admit, Holly is crazy over, but he just isn't a good mix with Haas' style. Haas could be their new Angle, except he's younger and doesn't have a neck that could give out at any second. -
Dean actually isn't as far left as some make him out to be. He's financially conservative, pro gun rights, and right around signing the civil union bill, said he didn't support gay amrriage and made the concept sound like it was very scary to him. The Dean scream was so blown out of context it was nuts, he was excited by the heat of the moment, he's not insane.

Good to see Raven going back to his shirt and jeans look, I wasn't a big fan of his kilt look. Of course, it's also good to see Raven get the heavyweight title. What were the other results? Also, does anyone think(I didn't see the show, obviously, so I can't see how it was booked) this hurts AJ's credibility having a short reign after Jeff? And what was this thing with Jarret attacking a Hardy fan? Is that a shoot, or was it an angle?
-
Thanks for pulling that up, I didn't know much anything about that before reading that. Koshi Rikdo is the only manga author I've ever seen really mention his assistants, now that I think of it

I'll have something continuing the build of MM vs. SFS, and Adam, don't forget the jokes about Hardy/Lita!

How about Raleigh, North Carolina?

Good, intense show this week. I really like how things have evolved into a very multi faceted, Attitude style situation with some folks like CWM who really aren't heel or face

If it ever comes down to it, KC, I'll make as many characters as necessary for a feud with you to dodge the Diva Search
