____ is good to listen to when _____
Masked Man of Mystery replied to Lord of The Curry's topic in Music
Miles Davis' Super Hits CD, which you can get very cheap, is good when you want to chill out. The Beach Boys are always good to listen to when you want to feel good, as are Puffy AmiYumi -
GOD IN HEAVEN, that was unholy. Your description doesn't even begin to adaquetly desribe that picture. Seriously, folks, DO NOT click on that if you have recently ate or are eating.

Also, I think TNA likes to have people with unique spots, so his Ole kick won't be a problem, I don't think, he just won't be able to run as far to set it up

Awesome show all around, the women's match, of course, really caught my eye and I'm really looking forward to being able to throw Ayane's kickboxing against someone like Confusia once the initial tournament and aftermath therein conclude. The reason the Punisher match was so short was it was initially supposed to just be a total squash to debut Punisher(I love that last name, Guerriero, and I've been wanting to use it for a character for a while) but then I came up with the idea of having John Smith join SFS. Actually, my very first idea was to have him fight a very exaggerated right wing nutjob called the Masked Repuplican, but I figured I shouldn't tick people off like that and besides, I very certainly couldn't have him join SFS. The match was patchworked, and I should've looked it over since I got it done very early. When is Great Angle Bash?

Otaku and Mike Guerriero vs. Asmodai and John Smith(who will have a devil name in time for the match) -
I thought it was a nice, solid piece if development work. My only complaint was the thing acted like there were no women on the roster as of right now, or at least none interested in wrestling for a women's title, or at the very least I woulda thrown in a little promo where I put 'em over. What did you guys think?

Thanks for putting "movie Shark Boy" and "wrestler Shark Boy" under the respective pictures. They look so much alike that even I wouldn't have been able to tell them apart. No wonder he is suing Disney. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm sorry, I felt like labeling them. And for the record, the first time I heard the title, I thought of the wrestler, and considering he does get national exposure on TNA(or did), he should be able to get enough from them that he can significantly lighten his indies load

What stars never reached
Masked Man of Mystery replied to CanadianGuitarist's topic in General Wrestling
Also, I think Ken Shamrock got screwed outside of his Blackman feud and really, at what other time have you heard face commentators talking about face wrestlers being dumb? JR would constantly say he isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer. -

If they had booked Hurricane properly and let him keep his moves, Hurricane could've been a HUGE star for WWE. Passable on the mic, plays his roles to a T, great moveset, marketable look, kid friendly, he could've been like Rey Myterio, a cruiser able to fight the big guys. Heck, with all the crud they throw against the wall, saying Hurricane can choke slam people because of his super powers is mild. I also agree with Test. I was SO disappoited when they threw him in T and A and they were part of HHH's thugs, like he was never angry over HHH taking his wife. That was all kinds of screwed up. Lesnar will be a legend in this business if he comes back and gets Heyman to manage him again becasuse he can plain out wrestle and Heyman makes up for his weakness on the mic. Funaki got stuck in the comedy role and has never really recovered. Kane could've been the monster they make him out to be if they booked him properly, but instead he has endured so much garbage, and Show is getting it now too even though he started impressing me with his work for the very first time starting about a year or so ago. Rene Dupree could become a star, but right now he's stuck in a dead end gimmick and looked like an absolute joke against Cena. Tazz could've also been a much bigger star in WWF if they used him right. Ditto with DDP, one of the most charismatic wrestler's I've ever seen who became a stalker and then the self help guru. Dreamer got stuck with a horrible gimmick post Invansion, and well, I don't know what precisely is up with Stevie Richards, but he could've been a much bigger star than he ever became outside of ECW -
Naw, he beat Chris Chetti(I think it was Chetti) at his debut in XPW at Exit Sandman(just about the only good thing about that card)
-
huh, I just looked up pictures of the movie character, it sorta does look like Shark Boy's shirt for comparison: movie Shark Boy wrestler Shark Boy He definately has a case
-
I think the character in the movie's shirt even looks like the wrestler's(from the previews I saw) Anyhow, I hope he wins, gotta love a dude like Sharkboy. I'm suprised that something hasn't come up over the fact that his training camp is called the Shark Tank and there's an MMA dojo/whatever you want to call it called Shark Tank

What in the heck are you people talking about? We need DESCRIPTIONS, people -
You guys act like HHH is on par with Heidenreich, for God's sakes. He isn't a bad wrestler, he's just over used.

Sorry, for some reason I thought I saw the word tag in there. I'm apparently going senile while I'm still in college. God was that ever a massive brain fart. Sorry. Maybe I was thinking about the Hi Yah thing or something. -
By the way, some Tom Clancy books should be added to the list of friggin' huge books, along with Les Miserables(or however that blasted book's name is spelled)

Just for a second, I'd like to remind everyone that Stalin wasn't a communist, he could swear it up and down, but he was a dictator through and through, and other than a few villages of hippies that came apart real fast, no true communist states have ever really existed. Communism looks real nice on paper(to some, at least), but it simply won't happen in the real world. Every single "communist state" that rose up in the 20th century was nothing but a poser.

Short, but good. For some reason I saw Brock's SWERVE! coming from a mile away

I'll be deubted Mike "The Punisher" Guerriero in a squash match. The jobber's stats will be posted later. I'm excited about a new tag division, it'd be nice to get some gold(or at least have a shot at it. -
I'm really not good at writing matches longer than what you saw at the PPV, so maybe I'd be good as the opening match in the future. I'm flattered that people feel I'm worthy of being in the mid card, but I've had to write long matches in the past when I was in GCW and they sucked.
-
Well, he's using the passive voice, that's why it's so odd
-
Cole is at his absolute worst when he's on TV(which is most of the time) because he's so focused on shilling the company line(how evil JBL is, etc.), but if you listen to him on the Benoit DVD, outside of their botching Great Sasuke's name, he can call a pretty good match when he's not worried about RVD's style or how cruiserweights are exclusive to Smackdown
-
Um...I'm having a brain fart/writer's block, so I'm out this week, I'll be back next week with something unless a miracle happens tomorrow. Sorry.
-
Er, a bit late start, but I did not like how MNM had the tag belts hanging out of the front of their pants. Belts should be respected and either worn around the waist or on the shoulder in my opinion
-
Solid stuff all around, my only complaints would be the lack of transitional stuff from the commentators as things progress, but then maybe I've been spoiled by recent Helddowns, and the lack of promos from others. Great stuff otherwise, guys(and gals)
