Masked Man of Mystery

Okay, I know that this is a relatively old movie and if I get the Vince's Legdrop treatment, I deserve it, but I just watched this movie and I just wanted to know how close this si to the comics. I've only read the first Essential Daredevil myself, and so I obviously have missed a lot. I know his dad was "Fighting" Joe Murdock, and he got the name because of the kids taunting him, not his dad's boxing nickname, and if memory serves, he got hit with the toxic liquid because of diving after a man, not running from the sight of what his dad did, but after that I can't really say much. They made Foggy a jerk, which I never saw in him, and a lot seems rushed, as if they needed to cut down the movie. I'm posting this here because I'm looking for some help from a comic comparison perspective than a movie perspective. Anyone mind helping me out?

Excuse me for asking, but why would one not count Never Say Never Again as a Bond movie?

That would suck Mind telling me why? Because they have built up Benoit as the man striving for his dream so he can achieve it at WRESTLEMANIA. NOT Backlash. HBK did not win the Rumble. He has no right to be in the World Heavyweight match for Wrestlemania. If he wants the gold so bad, they should've held off to build up for Backlash. But this should be built up as Benoit's night.

Well, we could get a lot of very good matches if they did give anyone beside Rey a legitimate push. Back when the Yakuza angle started, for example, there was a part where Tajiri offered Ultimo a spot in the stable. Ultimo blows him off and leaves. This should have lead to something, but it didn't. Instead we got Rey vs. Tajiri. I do like Rey, but it gets boring after a while to constantly see Rey, Rey, Rey when they have SO much talent in the division. Right now you have a good amount of credible cruiser talent and they should be mixed in and out of the scene, and when they're not going for the cruiser belt, they should be competing in tag matches, if not going for the tag belts. This way the tag scene and the cruiser scene will stay fresh, and maybe as you go you try to get back Kendrick, or sign one of the NWA:TNA/ROH guys. Months of quality television can be produced here. Let's look at the roster at the cruiser scene: Faces: Rey Mysterio Jr. Ultimo Dragon Billy Kidman Paul London Shannon Moore Funaki Heels: Chavo Guerrero Jr. Tajiri Nunzio Jamie Noble and then Akio and Sakada if they qualify.

Anybody else think Eddie should go back to his Latino Heat music now that he's being all serious and stuff?

I guess the WWE is no selling that Billy Kidman is married to Torrie. Of course, if I was married to a woman slutty enough to go and pose for Playboy, and not only that, pose with another woman, I'd be asking for a divorce.

Metallica refuses to put their music on the legit online srvces. At the Bestbuy I work at, they have Rhapsody installed on a bunch of computers, and that seems pretty good if you have a fast connection. Can't speak to how good the indie selection is, though. I just know they don't have Puffy AmiYumi, but have just about everyone else I like.

I knwo that in the N64 days, that Nintendo released shaped CDs, on shaped like Yoshi's face stands out in my mind. They're meant to be played in an old fashioned top loader, like on most CD boomboxes these days.

I'd personally pick Bret. Have him meet Benoit in the back, and tell him good luck, do it for Canada, etc. Then, if they like, they could have him come out withBenoit to help Benoit get a pop, and maybe Heyman runs out to screw Benoit, but Bret decks him. But anything with Bret would be good.

Isn't "superstar" just what the WWF calls its wrestlers because they can't be called wrestlers technically and calling them entertainers is just retarded?

I remember after getting into wrestling I didn't have cable so I taped the syndicated WWF show(this was after the first ever Smackdown) and eventually I found the WCW equivalent and I enjoyed it. It had a recap of the major events of the week, and until near the end, you had matches. Not great matches necessarily, but matches nontheless. I remember seeing one of the Vilvanos, Chavo, the Gambler, and Disciple. I didn't care. It was wrestling. I believe I also watched WOW around this time. I wonder what ever happened to Terri Gold. I thought she could go places.

Isn't that already on the Flair DVD? No. All it has is Flair's promo that kinda sets up Invasion and says WCW will never go down, and the wrestlers will keep fighting to keep WCW going and they're the greatest promotion in the world, etc.

I never thought Austin was anything special in the ring. He somehow got over on the mic(frankly, looking back at it, I'm amazed the Attitude stuff worked at all), and well, I've seen him way back when he had hair in World Class Championship Wrestling and I've seen him in matches oh, I'd say '98 and forward. I never saw much in him. But then, no one ever called Hulk Hogan a technical genius either.

I do believe I already suggested the all cruisers idea. Here's how I'd do it. Give the cruisers a Saturday morning/afternoon slot, when nothing's on anyway, you can make Raw into ECW(switch the GMs or something) since they have the less restricted cable enviroment, and then put your HHHs and Benoits and Kurt Angles onto Smackdown.
