I'm not sure you can make that claim about any religion. They all have there share of nutjobs. True, but in America, at least, no one else is nearly as loud in their hypocrisy. And yes, I'm Catholic, and yes, I realize I belong to the most screwed up faith ever

Jeff Hardy re-signed by WWE
Masked Man of Mystery replied to Atticus Chaos's topic in The WWE Folder
jeez, couldn't they even say he's been wrestling on "small shows to prepare for his return to WWE"? He was in a TNA title match and was darn close to winning the NWA title, for heaven's sake -

No, that's clearly a WWF -
Jeff Hardy re-signed by WWE

Good to hear, hopefully Matt and Jeff will come back together. The Hardys were the first tag team I began to like when I started watching wrestling(it was '99 and they were with Michael Hayes just about ready to win the titles from the Acolytes) -
Oh, I'm sorry I forgot to mention that, I did enjoy it, Bruce. Have you seen any HUSTLE? There's some gimmicks there I'd love to see you take on

This felt like a PPV, it was really stacked, great work by everyone, my favorite match was the 24/7 match, Patty pretty clearly rubbed off on KC, and I'm really glad. Lots of fun. The end, however, bugged me...while I realize in the real world a gun can be used in a situation like that, somehow, in pro wrestling....a gun just feels like it should never be involved. No matter what. But that's just me, and I know I'm a weirdo and a sucky champ. And I really shouldn't be talking, I wanted to bring a katana into a match once in when I was in GCW, so y'know what...I'll shut up now

Wow.......you have absolutely terrible taste in talk radio. You enjoy what you enjoy, and I enjoy what I enjoy but if you happen to have some suggestions, please, fire away, I'm willing to find new stuff. Besides, you live in Washington, how can you even judge WEEI unless you've streamed it? Oh, and I looked back at what you listed, Opie and Anthony make me cringe.

Things that bothered you in great matches..
Masked Man of Mystery replied to a topic in General Wrestling
See, that would've given it away more than what Heenan said, what he ended up saying was the typical anti Hogan stuff he always said, he always thought Hogan had a dark side -
I'm a talk radio fanatic, mostly because I hate commercial music radio. I was a big time Stern fan after I discovered him late in his broadcast career and now am hoping for Sirius to develop some kind of true walkman type deal. As it is, if I'm home and up and doing nothing all day I'll listen to Mike and Mike in the morning on ESPN, Stephanie Miller on Air America(funniest liberal show in the country), then Dale and Holly on WEEI, the Big Show, the flagship WWEI show, then either Randi Rhodes on Air America or nothing during the 6pm hour, On Point on NPR, then either Fresh Air on NPR or switch over to ESPN/WEEI, but I only listen to ESPN after midnight because I don't feel like listening to the BBC at night anymore, which is what NPR plays here and I hate Fox Sports Radio, JT the Brick has sucked ever since he left Sports Fan Radio Network

The influcence of mixed martial arts in pro wrestling
Masked Man of Mystery replied to Lord of The Curry's topic in The WWE Folder
Didn't they also find out that Kennedy had a cut so deep his skull was exposed? Maybe he told the ref and Batista to give him a "safe" finish? -
You'll think it's a work and then hope he doesn't bring back DX? I can't believe that anyone would think this was a joke when it was originally reported. Sadly, with Vince running the show while clearly not stable, it's not out of the realm of possibility

I liked the original Tenchi OAVs and what I saw of Universe. I also enjoyed the manga. I always wanted to see the Mihoshi OAV but not a lot of stores around me carried it and the ones that did were expensive. I refuse to pay $30 for a single DVD. By the way, if anyone's interested, I found some sweet links for Samurai Pizza Cats and it's Japanese equivalent if anyone's interested. I remember watching it before I went to school, always fun.

Taker/Khali will be, based on what I saw on the Wrestlemania 9 DVD. GG actually knew how to do more than a chop safely

They hacked it as in edited it?

Sorry about not being active lately, I totally forgot about the OAOAST last week, and I will try to have something this week

Viz/Shonen Jump and Tokyo Pop are established favorites, and while ADV's translation of Azumanga Daioh started out rough, I'm glad they acknowledged that they couldn't continue screwing with things and got it fixed halfway through the first volume.

Bret's DVD doesn't have the Ironman.....and wasn't there some talk of Hogan's early work in Japan going onto his DVD? I'd be more interested in that, frankly, since the word is he always brings up his game for them.

Hello to you too. It still has nothing to do with the story and could easily be cut. I'm amazed it made it past an editor, frankly, but the rest of the book is still entertaining, generally.

I work at a Best Buy, and regular workers like me get the legal minimum, half hour per 6 hours worked. I usually get my food from a Papa Gino's, which is a pizza/sub/pasta chain if it doesn't exist in the wider world. The prices keep going up, so they're not as good a deal as they used to be, but I can deal with it. I'm a slow walker, so I don't go across the street to the other mall with a proper food court, plus I feel silly if I'm in my work shirt in someplace other than my mall. I've taken to going to the Master Wok across the street before work on paydays, though, since the bus that goes to my house goes to the malls as well. Master Wok is the McDonalds of Chinese food, but it's pretty reasonable and it's better than always getting pasta, pizza, or meatball subs. There used to be a Boston Market in my mall I went to from time to time, but it shut down, and it's now a Workin' Gear or however the name is spelled, it's one of the odder changes I've seen. But then, my Best Buy was a grocery store when I was growing up.

Best Roster On Paper
Masked Man of Mystery replied to CanadianGuitarist's topic in General Wrestling
WWF in 2001-2002 had a pretty stacked roster because they had so many WCW and ECW guys, even if most of them were criminally misused. I'd probably lean more toward 2002 nbecause they had Mysterio and Brock by then -
1 What in the heck happened to Keith Foulke that he lost all effectiveness as a closer? 2 What do you think of looking into stretching Papelbon into a starter? 3 Are the Red Sox screwed due to having to use so many young pitchers so suddenly?
-
Another question, what game is that shot from, Jaws? Also, I don't think King Kong sold all that well, it went to $20 at Best Buy pretty quickly...although not nearly as quickly at the Da Vinci Code game, that really did poorly

Def Jam and a buttload of Japanese imports say hello. That reminds me, can Def Jam be enjoyed by someone who positively hates gangsta rap but loves the AKI engine?

Quite frankly, everyone that dislikes WP is provoking him to reveal his more....unusual side, shall I say?

What is that thing beginning with PJ?
