Voodoo Chile was the original name for the song, and Jimi Hendrix did it in a more low key bluesy style. Voodoo Child(Slight Return) is the full name of the song Hulk Hogan used as his entrance theme, as it is essentially just a blow your mind on the guitar version of the original where it is true that he's barely comprehensible.

who did Spanky's song anyway? I want that one bad.

I heard Voodoo Child once in CompUSA once, which was kinda neat, and I heard RVD(ECW) and Matt Hardy's songs on my college's station. Seems the hosts didn't know that they were wrestler themes though.

XPW Exit the Sandman
Masked Man of Mystery replied to Masked Man of Mystery's topic in General Wrestling
How is XPW doing these days? I really don't know much about the thing. I just knew the DVD had Sharkboy and a few guys I remember from my ECW Wrestlepalooza '97 DVD. I think those guys are fine for what they are, but they seem to be stuck with some people like that clown who was at the Sandman thing(by the way, that scene tops anything from Vinnie/Steph that I saw as far as bad family feuds go) who just plain out suck and don't belong in a fed like that, let alone being televised when there are some people there who are clearly better. -
Single & Solitary Velocidential Filament

perhaps because to the best of my knowledge they're heel and he's face? -
To quote Bob Hope "Thanks for the memories." I never saw him wrestle, but by God this man may well have been the best trainer North America ever saw. RIP, Stu, and I hope you're happy whereever you are with your wife and Owen. Let's hope Bret has a few years yet before he joins his family.

The Best WWE Cruiserweight of 2003?
Masked Man of Mystery replied to BifEverchad's topic in General Wrestling
I think Hurricane did wrestle in the cruiser division before he went to the purgatory known as Raw -
I think that maybe only asking for 10 wrestlers is too limiting. I havent' been around too long, so is there/was there a topic about what one would do if given the chance to run WWE? but in no particular order, here is my list(for the RAW guys, I have to go on knowledge of them before the split, as I don't have cable) 1. Kurt Angle this guy has so much behind him they didn't even have to make him use the USA pop. He's recovered well, and even if he gets hurt he can manage if worst comes to worst 2. Triple H this guy is an awesome heel and he can do face if needed. SInce I'd be running WWE in this scenario, he couldn't hold down other workers because I ain't a Macmahon. He can be the Holloywood Hogan of WWE, that constant powerful heel presence 3. Chris Benoit best technical guy in WWE right now. He can adjust his style for when he can't German guys like A-Train and train new guys. 4. Rey Mysterio Jr. ge gets maybe the best pop in WWE right now, can fly, and assumming he doesn't kill anyone botching the West Coast Pop, he can be the best cruiser in WWE. 5. Rob Van Dam what can I say? this dude is just unreal. When he came into WWF, I was amazed by what he can do. This man can go far, and since I would plan on giving the hardcore division its own show, he'd be able to wrestle ECW style again. 6. Brock Lesnar assuming I can stick him with a really good manager like Flair or Heyman, he'd be my go to monster. I personally don't like him on the mike, but he is so strong and talented I have to give him his due. I'd also change his finisher, but that's me. The F5 just doesn't look as cool to me as it probably should. 7. Chris Jericho he can do all kinds of stuff, and has adjusted his style as he's gone on. A feud between him and RVD could lead to some all timers, I think. 8. Raven he'd be the major heel on my hardcore show. the mindgames and whatnot give him an instant coolness, and his fighting style can work in both a hardcore and a non hardcore enviroment. 9. Yoshihiro Tajiri I'm not sure if I'd throw him into the hardcore show or keep him in the regular division, he's so talented that he's another who could do both. His style is unique right now since Steve Blackman left wrestling but he can mesh with other ones(his matches right now with Rey are just brilliant). Besides, we have Funaki, and you can work thorugh him for language barrier problems(I'd have Funaki wrestling by the way). 10. I'm honestly not sure. My changes to WWE would involve more the way the talent is used rather than the actual people, but an Ultimo Dragon or a John Cena or the WGTT could easily make it into my tenth slot if I saw more of them.

No Mercy 2003 Workrate Predictions Thread
Masked Man of Mystery replied to a topic in The WWE Folder
I agree with almost everythign there except that I think Vince will win so Steph can go on her honeymoon and whatnot then have HHH turn face and go after Vince, which I think was suggested on this board before. ALso, I hope Albert loses and gets dropped so we can see people like Paul London(was that just a one night stand or is he staying?) and Kendrick and Orlando Jordan. WWE has a lot of young talent that is pretty darn good and they can't all get held off TV for God's sakes. Or so I hope(fears WWE is becoming WCW). -
The Best WWE Cruiserweight of 2003?
Masked Man of Mystery replied to BifEverchad's topic in General Wrestling
Rey and Tajiri have been the best cruisers this yea that have been booked even close to properly. Ultimo would be up there if he had more than like 3 matches on Smackdown. However, I must say that I think Rey's been screwing up the West Cost Pop lately. It looks like he's planting people's heads into the mat, and it looks really dangerous. I think Matt got a concussion from one. SO while he's the best cruiser, he'd better stop being so sloppy, otherwise someone's gonna get killed out there. -
If anyone would like to try this, I'm looking for a shot of Bret on the left, preferably not looking like Ozzy Osbourne, then on the right a white target with Bret "The Hitman" Hart written across the target in his trademark pink. Also if there could be a few bullet holes in the background that'd be awesome. Thanks in advance.
-
Really, all of them would be awesome. Just because he didn't leave the way he should have, I'm voting for Bret, although I know it's about as likely as Ultimo Dragon getting the world title(apparently holding 9 belts at once isn't enough to even qualify him for a SHOT at the cruiser title).

what about the Pat Patterson/Rikishi feud where Pat Patterson pulled down his pants and stuck his soiled underwear in Rikishi's face? Or Mark Henry's pushes in general? Or the foursome of Knoble, Gunn, Torrie, and Nidia? OR most angles involving women of late?

I think "The Risng" by Bruce Springsteen could work for the right person. Also, " No Pain No Gain" by the Scorpions and "It's My Life" by Bon Jovi. "Sad But True" by Metallica could be an awesome song for people like Raven(I know it was used in ECW, but when I think of him screwing with Dreamer's head I think of this). And maybe Kurt Angle could pull off "Eye Of the Tiger." There's also a song called "Through the Night" that is the opening theme for the anime Outlaw Star that could be good for a Japanese wrestler. I used it for a while as Otaku II in GCW.
-
I was in GCW, and now I'm a matchwriter, known as Otaku II over there. We're a pretty good fed. Had a recent incident and the roster's a bit small but we've been around 5 years and things will get better. Anyone looking for a fed would be welcome. Check us out.

I'm sorry, I don't care what it is, dawing on the death of a fellow human being like that is just plain disgusting. Somehow I'm glad I never got into kazaa.

Theme songs of the day - TONS! (Part deux)
Masked Man of Mystery replied to a topic in The WWE Folder
Thanks for the songs. I've had a hard time finding entrance themes on the net.
