Masked Man of Mystery

For those of you with a Gamecube who have not yet picked up Day Of Reckoning 2, it's now Player's Choice, and it is the best wrestling game on the console so far. Nintendo has been really lucky with wrestling games since the SNES other than a few snafus. Fair warning, though, tag matches will be tough to get a 3 count in because the other partner always tries to break it up.

I can say I liked the movie better, mostly because there's a lot of extra stuff in the book that has nothing to do with anything, like there's a long description of a sugery that a girl has to have done that has nothing to do with the plot. The book seems more like it was meant to be just light reading, whereas the movie is heavy, I thought that was interesting.

Is there any word on a new Gamecube WWE game? I just got Day of Reckoning 2, which I love, since it's a new Player's Choice, but I haven't heard anything about a new one. I hope the Cube and Wii continue to be developed by this team, the engine isn't perfect but I like it better than Smackdown

Is there a story to this? I last consistently watched wrestling approximately when the WWE ran the Invasion angle, and was a huge Raven fan. Having watched TNA for the last 6 weeks or so, I'm shocked at how his physique has changed since his WWE days. Anyone know why/how he let it go so badly? Well, he's cleaned up from the drugs and has a thyroid issue, but I don't know if those would factor in. Plus, the poor guy's almost 40 and he never was in the best of shape

Wow, Booker hit a Slingshot Suplex, I think that's the first time I've ever seen that move in a real match

I can't be the only one who finds Sharmell terribly annoying and dislikes the King Booker gimmick. It's a little too old school, makes me think of King Harley Race. No one else in recent memory has completely changed their gimmick due to winning.

God, no amount of money is worth what Vito is being forced to do, he should do whatever he can to get out of his contract and go to TNA or something, this is so clearly Vince ribbing him with a gimmick

Consider also that TNA was following a show about rednecks or something, the Dudesons or some such garbage.

I remember one kid who I sat two seats away from me in one of my high school web design classes....good kid and all, they made a big deal of him going into...the Navy, I think..and less than a year after I found out he stabbed a girl and then committed suicide. Most of the other classmates of mine turned out to be pretty normal

It's pretty sad that TNA gets one page on the show. I don't normally have cable, but being on vacation we had it, so I watched Raw, ECW, and Impact, and Impact is by far the best wrestling so far. The Naturals match was a little blah, but the angle is getting across well enough, everything else was solid, and Jay Lethal looked really strong against Jarret, if he hasn't had an X shot lately he needs to get one soon, preferably at the PPV and see what he can do with it, he really impressed me. I think he could do a good underdog face run, and possibly you see Runt turn heel based on that look he had after Team 3D left(presumably for some Japan time) and let them go for a while, you have AJ and Daniels/LAX and Sting/Jarrett. Now you just see if you can do something with Roode, Young, and maybe Sabin(not necessarily together) and you have a nice little PPV card. I'm also curious as to what will come of Nash and Shelley's thing this week. Perhaps Sabin goes under a mask as one of the Madagascar wrestlers?

After I come home from vacation, I'm going to see about putting this show in HTML as I finally got Open Office again

What was so wrong with the black and red Buffalo logo? Now it looks like a Chargers logo. And why can't the Ducks keep their color scheme or have a 3rd jersey?

Why is a very generic looking cover for a James Dean documentary or biography movie double take worthy and worthy of posting in the anime thread?

I never had the best sense for when someone is joking, but I don't like being insulted, that's all.

I'd personally vote for Graphics since no one actually uses it for such and instead it's a lame No Holds Barred backup or something Masked Man of Density Rides Again Pardon me for thinking that the Graphics folder should be for oh, I don't know....GRAPHICS!

What about if Batista wrestled Daivari, since Henry is hurt. He's supposed to be able to go, so he can probably play the pinball heel for Batista to kill.

Well, on Wednesday I saw Puffy AmiYumi in a small club with Tally Hall as an opening act. I was quite happy with Tally Hall, they did some straight rock, some rock reggae type stuff, a little bit of rapping, and closed out with a cover of what I think is Kevin Federline's song(goes something like "Oh baby you/ got what I need/ but you say he's just a friend....) as a joke, but it was pretty killer. They're coming back to the area next month and I may just look into seeing them again. Puffy AmiYumi was excellant, as they were last year, and they spoke more English this time around between songs. It looks like covering Basketcase is a regular part of their live sets now, which I have no problem with. They claim it's their favorite song by their favorite band. They also did some new songs from their new CD, Splurge, which comes out on the 25th, but they were selling it at the show and I was one of the first 30 who bought it, so I got a pre signed copy. It's not as good as their other stuff, Nice blows this out of the water. I think their main problem is they tend to have very weak English lyrics written for them, but they can't really get big singing in Japanese, which seems to be their goal. They still sound awesome when they do their Japanese songs, though. My one complaint was the speakers were way too loud for such a small club, the floor was vibrating and my ears were ringing for a while after. It's a bizzare sight to see a band singing in Japanese in America, but Puffy always puts on a good show, and if they're coming to your town, I would strongly suggest you investigate seeing them, tickets for the two shows I've seen of them have been only $20 a pop(saw them last year as well). If they have Tally Hall with them as well, you're in for a real treat and a solid two hours of good music. That, by the way, would be my primary complaint, Puffy doesn't do much more than an hour of songs. I'm curious to see if they cme back, though, and if they'll do the Teen Titans song again, since it'll be that much longer canceled by then.

I got Midway's Arcade Treasures 3 for $3 used for my Cube thanks to a bad sticker at EB. Should've been like $9. I know it hasn't gotten great reviews, but I've wanted to try Hydro Thunder since I missed out when it was released to the N64 and I have fond memories of Stun Runner. I'll give an opinion when I get a chance to try it out.

Stupid me, I forgot my family is going on vacation, and I have no idea if I'll have an internet connection. I'd like to have something, but it'll probably be in on Friday or Saturday unless I can find a wireless connection

Remember, the hair was attached to the mask, so that really isn't nessesary. Not true, I saw a match between Undertaker and Kane where Taker pulled off the mask and Kane hid his face with his hair. I think that was just done for the unmasking.
