    Jobber Profile

    58.jpg

Theme music: "The Lightbringer" by Interfector

Entrance Style (what color pyro, spotlights, etc.): The arena is flooded with red light as the man once called John Smith, now Belial, walks out with the rest of Satan's Foot Soldiers. They walk down the ramp, and Belial gets in the ring and babbles nonsense as he mocks the crucifix pose

    Basic moveset: see wrestling style

    Manager/valet/sidekick: the SFS

Catchphrases/Trademark gestures: "Satan is my homeboy!"

History/Background/Career Highlights: He’s a remarkably bland product of the Memphis territory who turned to the path of pure EVIL when he aligned himself with Satan's Foot Soldiers and well, became one of them. Oh, and his name is, once again, taken from a devil's

    01.jpg

    Name: Sam Jackson

    Age: 25

    Height: 6’3”

    Weight: 242 lbs

    Hometown: Memphis, Tennessee

Entrance attire (sunglasses, robe, jacket, etc): an OAOAST shirt

Ring attire: black tights with a blue zizag pattern on the back that looks XTREME~!, black knee pads, and black boots like Ken Shamrocks, the type with no laces

Signature Moves (ex: Shining Wizard, Rolling Germans, etc.): big backbreaker to set up the powerbomb

    Manager/valet/sidekick: None

    Catchphrases/Trademark gestures: None

History/Background/Career Highlights: Just another guy who came up in the Memphis territory and hopes to make a name for himself in OAOAST

    newotakupic.jpg

    Name: Otaku II

    Age: 29

    Height: 6”1”

    Weight: 215 lbs

    Hometown: Boston, MA

Alignment (heel, face, tweener): Face, leaning a little more toward tweener now. He could turn into a full fledged heel if the people he's angry at weren't so God almighty evil.

Stable affiliation (if any): Mad Machine

Wrestling style (brawler, cruiserweight, technical, all-rounder, etc.): Technical, although now he's angry enough that he's not above stomping a body part rather than applying a hold. Little more likely now to not immediately give a clean break. He can also fly to some extent, but he'd rather use it to finish a match or do something to do major damage to a limb, like an elbow drop to the knee

Theme music: "Touch of Grey" by Phil Lesh and Friends

Entrance Style (what color pyro, spotlights, etc.): Sky blue lights around the arena flash on and off as Otaku walks out, taking his sweet time now, he's not in a rush to get to the ring.

Entrance attire (sunglasses, robe, jacket, etc): A Phil Lesh and Friends shirt. It looks like this and a bigger version of the logo is here

Ring attire: Otaku's changed his attire a bit so it looks more like Bret Hart's. Same black boots, black tights with "Otaku" written in Japanese on the right leg and in English on the left, then a sky blue singlet top like Bret's with a logo like this. He has sky blue knee and elbow pads with a brace on the right leg, and he'll tape up his fists as well.

Finishing Move(s) (try to keep it to 1 or 2): Sharpshooter, Bubblegum Crash(Styles Clash) and he can Bubblegum Crash, roll, slide out and go right into the Sharpshooter.

Signature Moves (ex: Shining Wizard, Rolling Germans, etc.): Dragon suplex, Tiger Suplex, Shining Wizards(and Enziguris), Shooting Star Press(more like Kidman’s but he can get more air and distance on it and he very rarely ever busts it out), and the Roaring Elbow

Basic moveset: snap suplex, headlocks(occasionally into takedowns), martial arts kicks, arm drags, hip tosses, German suplexes, forearms(as opposed to punches), arm bars, leg locks, leg drops(including from the top rope), hurricarannas, drop kicks, and, as noted above, he's now rather upset, so he will punch and stomp while wrestling, whereas before he avoided such things. and uh, I guess that’s about it, but feel free to improve as long as he keeps to the styles described

Manager/valet/sidekick: Ayane Mitsui, “The Sheriff” Tony Capella

    Catchphrases/Trademark gestures: none

History/Background/Career Highlights: On and off wrestler for GCW for 3 years, one time tag champion with Ayane for about 10 seconds before an immediate rematch was declared and Ayane got decked with a chair, then pinned, he’s Otaku II because his late father was the original Otaku. Big anime fan(obviously), has some MMA and traditional martial arts training. Still is upset at Brock Ausstin for tearing the mask off his face, but right now he just wants to get back in the game

    anime_55.jpg

    Name: Ayane Mitsui

    Age: 25

    Height: 5”5”

    Weight: 110 lbs

Hometown: Boston, MA(originally from Tokyo, Japan)

    Alignment (heel, face, tweener): Face

Stable affiliation (if any): Mad Machine

Wrestling style (brawler, cruiserweight, technical, all-rounder, etc.): Kickboxing, with some basic amateur and pro wrestling training

    Theme music: "Ashburn" by Hikari

Entrance Style (what color pyro, spotlights, etc.): Sky blue lights around the arena turn on and off, and Ayane comes out with Otaku and Tony as the singer finishes the first verse. They jog down the ramp and to the ring, high fiving fans as they go.

Entrance attire (sunglasses, robe, jacket, etc): Currently, an OAOAST shirt and sneakers

Ring attire: Black half shirt, black vale tudo shorts with “Ayane” written on the front of the right leg in sky blue, black MMA(ie open fingered) gloves, sky blue knee pads, and black foot supporters

Finishing Move(s) (try to keep it to 1 or 2): the Golden High Kick(big roundhouse kick with her right leg to her opponent’s skull, which she will use on shorter opponents, and a good, hard kick to the knee for larger opponents followed by either the Golden High Kick or the Shining Wizard for larger foes

Signature Moves (ex: Shining Wizard, Rolling Germans, etc.): rolling armbar and leg bar attempts, flurries of punches and kicks, I mean, she’s a converted kick boxer, she’s going to rely on her striking ability

    Basic moveset: see above

Manager/valet/sidekick: Otaku II, “The Sheriff” Tony Capella

    Catchphrases/Trademark gestures: none

History/Background/Career Highlights: Ayane is a loose adaption of the character of the same name from Ayane’s High Kick after her presumed run in the women’s division of All Japan. She came to America looking for more competition after KO-ing most of her opponents in Japan and found two things: 1. most promoters just wanted her for T&A segments, not real wrestling, and 2. Otaku II, a kind American soul who spoke Japanese reasonably well, was part of a wrestling organization, and was willing to help her get a shot at being a full time wrestler in America. Things haven’t worked out quite as expected, what with them falling in love and getting married and Ayane now concentrating on helping Otaku with his striking, although she’s also his go to tag team partner and helped him win the GCW Tag Titles at Wrestlebowl VI.

    Tony_Capella.jpg

    Name: Tony Capella

    Age: 52

    Height: 6”4”

    Weight: 260 lbs

    Hometown: Amarillo, Texas

    Alignment (heel, face, tweener): Face

Stable affiliation (if any): Mad Machine

Wrestling style (brawler, cruiserweight, technical, all-rounder, etc.): Old school wrestler, mostly striking with chops and the like, really can’t lift anyone for much anything anymore at his age, but he can still do some scientific wrestling.

Theme music: "New Speedway Boogie" by the Grateful Dead

Entrance Style (what color pyro, spotlights, etc.): Nothing fancy, Team Otaku comes out, led by Tony, and they high five the fans as they walk down to the ring.

Entrance attire (sunglasses, robe, jacket, etc): a tan cowboy hat and an OAOAST shirt

Ring attire: a pair of black pants, similar in style to what Rey Mysterio Jr. wears, but not shiny, and white boots with “TC” on the sides in black in a style similar to Ric Flair’s boots.

Finishing Move(s) (try to keep it to 1 or 2): Belly to belly suplex, with a standing kata hajime as a desperation finisher

Signature Moves (ex: Shining Wizard, Rolling Germans, etc.): running diving lariat(like Bradsha’s, except he doesn’t expect a pinfall out of it), big single knee drop, and, once in a great while, a piledriver

Basic moveset: chops, bionic elbows, headlocks, European uppercuts, knee lifts, headbutts, fist drops, and a hangman’s neckbreaker.

    Manager/valet/sidekick: Ayane Mitsui, Otaku II

    Catchphrases/Trademark gestures: none

History/Background/Career Highlights: former multi time champion in his glory days who wants to train the next generation. Called “The Sheriff” because of his cowboy gimmick from long ago, and the twang and cowboy hat remain from that era. He still wrestles once in a blue moon, but mostly he just manages Otaku and Ayane and helps Ayane learn more pro wrestling style moves

    thepunisher2qy.jpg

    Name: Michael “The Punisher” Guerriero

    Age: 23

    Height: 6’4”

    Weight: 260 lbs.

    Hometown: Watertown, MA

    Alignment (heel, face, tweener): Face

Stable affiliation (if any): Mad Machine

Wrestling style (brawler, cruiserweight, technical, all-rounder, etc.): power/amateur

Theme music: "Revenge" by The Unleaded

Entrance Style (what color pyro, spotlights, etc.): Nothing flashy, he just walks toward the ring with Mad Machine in tow. Tony may have a quick word with him before he gets in the ring, where he usually pulls off his shirt and throws it into the crowd.

Entrance attire (sunglasses, robe, jacket, etc): a simple black Punisher T shirt(i.e. a black T shirt with the Punisher’s skull logo on the front)

Ring attire: black singlet with the Punisher logo on the front and “Guerriero” written on the back, black boots with his initials on the sides in white, black knee pads, and taped fists

Finishing Move(s) (try to keep it to 1 or 2): Final Judgement(spinning suplex into a powerslam, just like Goldberg’s, but he has the respect for his opponent to not make faces doing it or only use one arm to hold them up), if he can’t lift them up he uses an STO and slaps on a kimura armbar and either the dude taps or he gets a broken arm, plain and simple

Signature Moves (ex: Shining Wizard, Rolling Germans, etc.): spinebusters, power bombs, full nelson slams, a nasty belly to belly suplex that usually sets up the Jackhammer, basically he’s a younger, motivated Bill Goldberg who really loves wrestling and has an amateur background instead of a football one, so he doesn’t tackle people.

Basic moveset: headlocks, occasiaonally into takedowns, snap suplexes, anything he can get out of a waistlock(suplexes, bear hugs, etc.) and the occasional double or single leg takedown

    Manager/valet/sidekick: Otaku, Ayane, and Tony

Catchphrases/Trademark gestures: none, he tends to be pretty quiet, but when he hits the belly to belly, he frickin’ leaps off it like Tito Ortiz and that’s his way of saying to the crowd that his opponent is screwed

History/Background/Career Highlights: A talent fresh out of high school with some good power wrestling training, Michael Guerriero(whose last name means “Warrior” in Italian, like Guerrero does in Spanish) has been recruited by Otaku to counter the size advantage of Satan’s Foot Soldiers. He’s young, quiet, and tends to let his actions speak for themselves. He seems to have a strong personal moral code and he has an excellent amateur background. He is also, of course, fascinated with the Marvel character The Punisher, and adopted the skull logo.

  2. Um, I'm really sorry guys, I've been mega busy and just found out Otaku was booked. I have a promo that I just randomly wrote with some time on the train, though, so...

A: who would I send it to?

    B: Is it too late?

if it is too late, I'm really sorry, I was stupid and forgot to check the board. No biggie

  3. I learned my lesson on these spiffy wrestling games with Raw on the X-Box. Fortunately I was allowed to return it less than 24 hours later despite buying it used. I've had a Gamecube for a year and a half now and have had no desire to seek out wrestling games for it. Is it just me, or are wrestling games getting worse with better systems?

Day of Reckoning 2 is pretty good, actually, probably the best engine since No Mercy, the stamina thing tends to not be too too killer, and it has a decent storyline. Also has some very obvious Japanese touches. It's based on the same engine as the Japanese Wrestle Kingdom, I think, but that one's for PS2, oddly

  4. I love Spirited Away up until this one scene where they reveal the true nature of the boy who was helping Chihiro(it's been a while and I don't remember the name of the boy) and the way it's done just kills the movie and every time I watch it I love it up until that part, and it just stinks because it happens late enough that I leave it with a bad taste in my mouth

  5. To the 2 posters above, since I don't know how to do a double quote: people far higher than the person you talk to in a Best Buy have decided to make us hold stuff, we have no say on that. Second, I've never ever heard of a BB newsletter, and I've been there 5 years. Third we are forced to try to pitch all that stuf, much like the Gamestop/EB folks, but without the job on the line so much. And fourth, there are an amazing amount of people who still have no clue about video games, even people of the age that you think they would be playing(teen-mid 20s) but they don't, they don't care, and as such they say exactly what they're told to say when they make the pitch, which is generally made by people who have even less of a clue

  6. Sorry, been busy with finals and such. After their run on Tom and Jerry, undeniably great work, and here my memory is a little hazy, I read it in a book by Leonard Maltin about animation, they went and promised huge amounts of content to a network or company. Thus we got the limited animation style which survives in some form to this day. We were fine with it as kids because we were kids and it didn't matter, but it hurts the quality of the animation of shows. Because they had insane deadlines, they made very talky shows. That is what hurts their legacy. I'll try to look up more specifc info another time, but it's late and I'm tired

  7. The Joe injury might be a blessing in disguise, then, if it means they have to hold off. This is overkill. I like that Angle's angry about it, he should be, and him going nuts and ankle locking people all over the place is fine. But, they should hold this off a bit, have Angle heel it up and go nuts, beating up jobbers and such, maybe they do a new version of the Angle challenge by bringing in NWA guys to take a shot against him

  8. For those who would like to listen to some puro themes, check Madsplash. I would like to add AJ Styles' TNA theme, which,m while it makes no sense, gets me pumped up every time I hear it, and the theme Sabin used before his heel turn, that was really cool, the instrumental or whatever that's the base of it wasn't great, but the vocal stuff over it makes it so awesome. Sabu's Huka Blues theme and the TNA ripoff are both cool in differant ways. Abyss also has a nice theme. The odd thing is, I remember having an old version of it that was labeled as Jimmy Yang's theme, I think. That is bizzare.

  9. Ugh...a militant black faction would be terrible. At least LAX is topical.

After the whole Michael Richards attacking the heckler rant gone wrong I think an uppity rapper gimmick could be relevant.

Do they really need to do that though when they have LAX pretty much the same thing?
Ron the Truth Killings was the standout star of 3LK. Konnan was doing nothing but saying "Arriba me zapato" and BG James was doing nothing but rehashing the Michael Buffer intro. There is too much talent in Ron Killings to be wasting him in tag matches with Lance Hoyt.

Unfortunately, there's not a whole lot for Killings to do unless you put him in the X Division, and even then, they're pretty crowded there. I'd say build up Killings and Hoyt as a fun tag team, maybe feud with the Naturals or something. I don't think they should touch LAX for the moment
