You... lost... the Super Bowl. End of discussion. Bye!

Selecting for Brooklyn Zoo: Anton Chigurh
-
So then Czech would be correct in the Dolphins assessment then. I'll accept that premise. Just... not the Patriots. Though, had the Patriots lost one game in the season, and gone on to win the Super Bowl OR gone 19-0, then I'd have definitely put them there as the undisputed #1.
-
Too bad it's not really a game where the winner comes out of it looking super credible. It should be a hell of a game to watch though.
-
You know, I'm rooting for Auburn to upset Alabama here. Then for Alabama to upset Florida in the SEC title game. Also possibly Oklahoma State upsetting Oklahoma, though I'd like for USC to play Oklahoma in the bowl, not Texas, for obvious reasons.
-
It's clear the team is gelling at a championship caliber level. It's like you guys finally got it, how to win, after a few seasons of false starts.

I continue to wonder why Brody is allowed to post here. Your first post was just stupid, and not funny. If you're going to mock the guy, at least make it funny. Secondly, it wasn't a relative that died. It was a friend, and then the father of a friend. Porter's just bitter that I called him out for being a baby in the sports folder. More like, I made a joke of "ignoring" Brody's post directed to me, fake complimenting/goading him on a nonsense post, and pointing and laughing as the retard hoots and hollers for people's entertainment. Bob, it would appear you are the bitter man. Look at yourself. You DEFINE whiny. You go in threads whining about bannings, about what people do, and you're in general a little snivelling shit who can't have anyone saying mean hurtful things about ROH or the fanbase. Bob, go over to that circle jerk that is the ROH board, and let the big boys play here, mmkay?

NOW you're saying Strahan is a malcontent?

You're right. Serves me right to use an unverified source without researching myself. And still, no, Cleveland COULD do what you said, but WILL they? No. They would likely sign guys that come a bit cheaper than what New York would be able/willing to do for Lebron. The Cavaliers would break the bank for Lebron and him alone. New York would break the bank for him, someone else, and maybe a third guy if they can get more takers for their current overpaid "talent". And the Knicks are setting up a decent core of their own as well. I'm not against Cleveland by any means, but come on, anyone can see that going to New York would make more sense for the guy.

I'm sure it was sweeter, especially after his dumb comment early in the year about Eli's leadership, which I think helped snap it into Eli. But at the heart of it, when Tiki was there, Coughlin WAS a tyrant, his teammates WERE the aforementioned distractions Shockey and Burress, the media I don't know about, and after having career seasons at the running back position, it was transparent they wanted nothing to do with him after he announced his intent to retire, so yes I'd understand him griping about less involvement in the offense.
-
Wow. Tiki Barber gets grouped with Shockey and Burress just because he expressed his intent to retire. That's awesomely selfish of the fans naiwf.

The Cavaliers went to the Finals and got creamed. That's what it'll be every year they make the Finals with the team that's set up currently. If the Cavaliers somehow win a title BY 2010, then I can see him sticking around. If not, he's gone, regardless of what Cleveland promises him. Also Brooklyn Zoo informed me the other day that Lebron James gets 100 million dollars extra for signing with either the Knicks or the Lakers (well for signing with Los Angeles or New York, to be specific) from Nike. Think Lebron's turning that down?
-
Amazing. A team that doesn't win the title still gets talked up as the best team ever. The difference between the 2007 Patriots and the 1985 Bears is... Bears are in the annals of history as actually winning the title. It's quite mindboggling to put a team in as the best of all time when another team is the champion of their season. Get over them running up the score on Washington Redskins and Miami Dolphins and recognize that truth. edit: Sorry, but that's the major hang up I have with the Patriots. It's like the BCS. It does matter when you lose. Week 13? Ok. Super Bowl? No. I'm starting to think maybe I should give the 72 Dolphins more credit. Undefeated and won the Super Bowl.
-
Yes. I meant complementary stars. The Cavs can throw whatever money they'd like at Lebron but if he sees it's still just going to be him and 14 other scrubs, he'll walk.
-
Enough to rise their payroll to among the top? Don't know about that. If they would, they'd have done so by now.
-
Yes that is acceptable on one condition. It must be an original concept. It cannot be a a TV movie that is an extension of a television show. So Jack Bauer, on strength of 24: Redemption, would not be allowed.

My selection: Michael Corleone
-
No. You are selecting the character, not the actor. Go nuts. Pick George Lazenby's picture if you wish. Though that would make me cry.
-
Hopeless? No. But I doubt Cleveland would want to spend as much as New York would.
-
Include picture, please, to make it more visually pleasing. On another note, when discussing the idea of this draft with another, he asked me who would have been selected #1, I answered with James Bond as well. It's nice to see I predicted correctly.

What about the Ninja too?

The Wall was the babyface as Berlyn wasn't likable at all.

I'd give you one simple piece of advice when dealing with your valuables. Always conduct your business in person. Less headaches that way.
-
You won me over, Brody. Good show. Not for what you just said. But the Barron thing.
-
How could anyone want to deal with that company under these premises? I mean, think about it for a minute. They are asking you to freely HAND OVER your valuables, without being paid upfront, so they could I assume, "appraise" it, and hang on to your things as they send you a figure. What would even stop them from simply not returning your things when you ask for them back? Hell, even if they gave you a figure you agreed with, what would stop them from simply not paying you? They have what they want already. This is even assuming they answer your correspondence once you hand your things over.
