Why? Like I said, being the best of a weak crop shouldn't mean you should be taken fast.
-
All that for Spencer.
-
How can you trade up? (edit: Nevermind, thought you were an Eagles fan, my bad)
-
Why not? The Bears need a TE. Not at 31. I don't like the idea of drafting the best player in a need position when that player wouldn't even stack up well in any other class (see Alex Smith). I'd rather wait until someone better comes along, and suffice with Clark for now.
-
Losman's a serviceable quarterback, that's it. He's never going to be any better. (This is to say, under Jauron, that is) I'm surprised the Chiefs took Bowe, but that's a pretty good pick. Now if they find out who's going to be throwing him the ball...
-
Can someone please take Greg Olsen already. I don't want the Bears to be tempted.
-
I don't know, maybe we were thinking that the Bills would do something right for once. I won't be making that mistake again. You could edit the quote "What's up with you idiots thinking Losman was a good answer for Buffalo. Lolz." Quinn > Losman big time. Not that I thought Buffalo would pick Quinn though. Jauron is quite an idiot when it comes to those kind of things.
-
As overrated as Quinn might be, you have gotta feel good for the Browns, picking up a franchise tackle and then a franchise quarterback in the first round. Now if they can only figure out the running back situation and maybe the WR situation, they'd be set.
-
Why would Cleveland take it? It'd be clear Philly only drafted Quinn to trade him. Philadelphia's better off not taking that sort of gamble. Cleveland, seeing Quinn fall further and further down, probably would be confident in him landing in the 2nd round if he doesn't go to KC or Dallas or somewhere like that. After that their only concerns would be Baltimore and Detroit.
-
It would be funny if the Browns ended up with Quinn.... in the second round.
-
Crap. The Bears will have a hell of a time defending two really good rookies in the Central, Calvin Johnson for Detroit and presumably Adrian Peterson for Minnesota.
-
Let's hope not.
-
This is why I wanted the Bulls to face the Heat in Round 1 as opposed to the Nets.
-
And even then, why would playing for money make one a worse player than one that's playing for the game? Don't players perform a whole lot better in contract years than not?
-
I think people are taking that a bit too seriously. Who cares? Maybe 1% of the material coming out of Hollywood is original stuff.
-
Those certainly weren't THE Showtime Lakers. The show closed a few years before this actually as the Bad Boys won the past couple titles, are you being serious? Now if it was the 87 Lakers vs. 96 Bulls, things would be alot more interesting I believe. Take a guess.
-
I like how the Bears aren't being like the other teams, where they panic and trade Briggs at the first sign of holding out. Hopefully the Redskins offer a better package this time around.
-
Didn't we see this with the Showtime Lakers going down to the first Bulls championship team?
-
They can't have Punk and Burke together after what happened. Either way the NB stable probably goes back to 4 men.
-
You mean III?
-
Well if the #1 team has made it sort of transparent as to who they were picking (like if Raiders made a clearer case that they were picking Russell), then I could see a case where Detroit might talk parameters with a Joe Thomas or Gaines Adams or Brady Quinn for as long as the Raiders were talking with Russell, and come to an agreement shortly after Russell signs with Oakland.
-
Probably only if the #1 guy was signed already, otherwise it'd be odd to see the #2 team sign a guy, only for the #1 team to pick him.
-
I don't think they will do it, but if they do, wow.
-
Thanks for giving me something to root for.

Shawne Merriman?
