He's the #1 heel, but he's not a main eventer? I don't quite follow you. He's never going to be HHH. Think of him as being in the Kurt Angle role where he can go back to the top of the show at any time. That's my point. He's the #1 heel right now, but he could easily revert back into the midcard/upper midcard in the blink of the eye, as opposed to someone like Batista who people would not buy in the midcard. Edge is not that SOLIDIFIED as a main eventer. At least not to me.

Hawk seems to overrate Edge's value. He's the top heel on Raw, but nowhere near the "top" in terms of WWE main eventers.

They are terrible, but I can't blame them for not pretending to be super excited about plays that kill their team.

No, that's not what I'm contending. I know it's not that close, but the family said it's closer than the original version. So I mean, that's their opinion and I can't really argue with it, because they'd know what Roald would have wanted more than you or I.

It was closer to the source material. Dahl wanted a darker tone to the film, as opposed to the sing-song musical-like version that the original provided. And not that they can really speak for him, but Dahl's family said that he would have liked the remake a whole lot better than he did the original, but I guess to them, anything was an improvement over the original.

re: Charlie/Willy Wonka- Roald Dahl hated the original film, so I don't see how anyone can say the remake sucked compared to the original when the original sucked in the source material writer's opinion.

The White Sox didn't really lose anyone but a declining pitcher in Freddy Garcia and a guy that was mainly in the bullpen in McCarthy. With that nearly identical roster they still managed to win 90. This with the Twins being who they are (and let's not forget they will be missing Liriano for a good long while in 2007) and Tigers possibly being better with Sheff or same or worse with either the pitching staying or declining (Rogers on DL won't help), how they will not get at least 80, is what confuses me. Yeah sure, bias might play into it, but I just don't see such a black hole in the White Sox roster that'd knock them at least 10 wins down. edit: Of course I assume the guys like Dye and Thome and co will maintain a level close to 2006 and I assume that the LF/CF spots can't get any worse.

Better yet, Jeff lands his on someone and as he is selling the impact, Kennedy follows with his version on Jeff.

They are not playoff contenders but I just cannot see them sucking bad enough to compete with the Royals for the cellar. They'll be a middle-of the-road team at around 80-85 wins, 90 being optimistic.

Yeah, I remember Meltzer writing about how McCool didn't belong in the business because she was so nice, and married to her high school sweetheart. A year later Alvarez mentions her divorce and how she is a "favorite" of the older men in the company. Outside of Trish I can't think of one woman ever who has had a stable long-term relationship while they are in the wrestling business. I'm not sure who that's an indictment of, but it's basically true when it comes to women who make it to WWE, WCW or ECW. If my girlfriend ever got an offer to go to WWE I'd have to break up with her if she took it, as that's the end of the relationship, at least that's what happens 99/100 times. Not that I'm cool with all that, but it's to be expected when you're on the road all the time. You're going to want to get your rocks off, and there's all these boys that'd be happy to do it. And there's an urban myth about Trish and the Rock, so take that for what you will.

I don't think Vick is that horrible of a QB and my "coach killing" comment was intended to mock the whole debacle with Mora, but I accept Vick isn't that great of a QB passing-wise. Big reason is the guys that have pan hands that Atlanta drafted to catch balls, another is the line constantly breaking down and forcing Vick to run. When Vick has time and the receivers, I can see him being a 60% passer that will be good enough to win more games than not. The only issue I have with him is that his attitude has sort of deteriorated over time but I suppose that's to be expected when your skills are called into question every year you come in as starter.

I think it's funny that of the Eastern Conference, the only 3 teams to lock up spots are in the same division. The other two must be that bad.

Because they want him as healthy as long as he can. Smashing himself up against big defenders every play will shorten his career. The coaches aren't thinking of "How can I thrill the fans", they want to win, and Vick, while not a great passing QB, is passable enough that they have to protect his health so he can try to give them that.

I don't think you can in good faith put players above him that haven't done the things in the postseason that he has done. Like, I wouldn't put Peyton manning above alot of people back when he was 0-forever in the playoffs. And Farves record over his last 4 years to vicks. And brees(although he has had a couple of great seasons now) and Delhommes, and Penningtons. Its easy to say Vick vick vick, but he has had two late season collapses that happen to coincide with a certain coaching staff coming in and making it their team and trading players ending up with a offensive line no bigger than me and a offensive coordinator that has his recievers all run the same routes every play. You can name all you want. But at the end of the day, 4 years as a starter, two playoff apperances, one championship game, one second round loss, and I will put that up against most starting QB's in the league. Well... Brady won 3 Super Bowls, Peyton will make more playoff appearances than Vick has ever done, Palmer while he hasn't gotten to the AFC title game is a better passer and that can't be denied, Brees made the NFC title game with the Saints and took San Diego to the playoffs, Marc Bulger... well that's debatable, Brett Favre has won 1 Super Bowl and appeared in another and has taken the Packers to countless playoff berths, Delhomme actually took the Panthers to the Super Bowl and was a few plays away from OT, Hasselbeck took the Seahawks to the Super Bowl and other playoff appearances, McNabb has taken the Eagles to countless NFC title games and a Super Bowl, Rivers looks good but isn't there yet, and Pennington when healthy has taken NY to playoffs a few time. Of all those people I can only consciously put Vick over Bulger, Rivers and Pennington on the basis of what he has accomplished.

I bet luke-o is the kind that cracks up every time Nash buries someone on the mic, so I'm not surprised by his selection of humor.

And Cena would be the same way if he told fans to fuck off for booing him, while still trying to play face.
