But it was Miami Hurricanes that knocked off the Bulls, not the Dolphins. And everyone SHOULD know the 1985 Bears were superior to the 17-0 Dolphins by miles.
-
They need help everywhere. I'd want a playmaker. Calvin Johnson is not going to want to be there for long if they don't start scoring with regularity.
-
Oh well whatever. I don't like the 90s Bulls anyways. Just 72 wins out of 82 plus a league championship should look more impressive than 13 wins out of 13 with a national title.
-
That's very possible, since the idea was that if Christian stayed, he would become the main mouthpiece of the group. Then I wouldn't be surprised that Christian turned it down, since ultimately it looks like Sting might return to the babyface side of things as the leader once the speculated direction of Angle kicking him out of MEM takes hold.
-
That's horseshit. How can the 72 win Bulls not win it all?
-
Wouldn't be that [edited in]bad a pick, especially with Roy Williams gone. They could just sign Matt Cassel to quarterback them and draft Crabtree and boom, 6-10 type team again!

I'd agree that they "lucked out" in the sense that because they won, they instantly got credibility. But look at Hawaii, they got the fortune of facing Georgia. And they got creamed. That killed whatever mystique Hawaii had. So I think there's a high risk/high reward situation with that.

Armchair Bookers: What if WCW bought out ECW...
USC Wuz Robbed! replied to Zack Malibu's topic in General Wrestling
The difference is without TV, they usually ran shows like twice a month (I don't know the exact average but that's my assumption), so you can easily hold off Taz/Sabu. But with 5-6 hours of TV a week, Truthiness would be right. Heyman would have gone through everything quickly. -
It's not necessarily that they hate Cena that makes them morons. It's the fact that when they detail reasons for why they hate Cena, they are usually false or too personal to apply to the whole fanbase. It's also because some of them (goldengreek for one) assume that because they don't like Cena, nobody else does.

Phil Fulmer is a coach I've heard of, and I certainly don't care about him. Same goes for Urban Meyer. That said, you'd be right. It'd be a hell of a game, and certainly more of a stiffer challenge to Utah than Pittsburgh was.

Thank god I didn't go with my gut on the Tennessee/Detroit game. I was thisclose to picking the Lions, thinking it'd be a close game.
-
That game is why I think they, not the 2004 Utah team, was the best mid major team in recent history. That team probably could have beaten Ohio State too. Not sure about Florida though.
-
No Boise State did have better speed. The only advantage OU had over BSU was RB, and Ian Johnson wasn't a pushover anyways. And Psycho Penguin, you're right. BSU dominated the early portion, but OU dominated the latter portion.
-
You forget Carolina. They have a leg up on your team as well. It'd have been me (Atlanta) but thank god for that win over Carolina this week. Now I feel much more comfortable with where I am headed in the division.
-
It wasn't that crazy. I remember thinking Boise State had better speed than Oklahoma, and I figured they'd want the game more than Oklahoma. Too bad it was a closer game than I predicted.
-
I still don't understand why people are picking on Oklahoma fans for the Thunder. As if they ASKED for the Sonics.

WCW facts, tidbits, and stuff people forgot

Too bad they didn't work out an agreement where Lawler would be on loan to WCW and had him win the title from Luger and sort of hold the belt hostage, similar to the Punk/title angle in ROH. Then they could have Sting be the conquering hero and take the title back. -
Man if I stayed in the AFC, I'd be #1. The NFC is definitely stronger, with 7 teams having as good or better records as the leading AFC team.

I always thought RVD would be the one guy WCW wouldn't misuse. I'd have seen him be pushed in WCW had they kept going and had that re-start where Sean O'Haire would be the major player. -
Oddly I always thought when they first made the decree that it was their excuse of seeing all the divas in the buff. Crazy me.

Ok alright. Still, so what? Carter's going to get in eventually. Who cares when?

Well I'd attribute that to the offensive schemes of the teams they played for. When I think Washington Redskins of the 80s, I don't think Greatest Show on Turf. But the 1998 Vikings? That was as explosive an offense as any. The advantage cannot be denied. The Joe Gibbs Redskins of the 80s and early 90s were definitely an offensive powerhouse. When the 1998 Minnesota Vikings set the record for most points scored in a season, the team they beat to get the record was actually the 1983 Redskins. From 1983 to 1991, the Redskins led the league in scoring twice and only missed the top five three times. And were they scored through the air? I thought their bread and butter was the running game with the Hogs and Riggins and etc.
-
I don't think so. Dama can attest to me telling people here Boise would beat OU.

I assume most of who participated in the character draft would want in, so I might suggest keeping an eye on how many people signed up already.
