Or better yet, Jarrett goes away.
-
Because not everyone has Showtime.
-
Except apparently Joe/Angle is the ME of Genesis.
-
I'll ask. I'll say it again, but in the form of a question so people don't bitch; does anyone else see them giving the belt back to Jeff because Kurt took out the referee and he was only the 'ringside enforcer' ? What I'm hoping for is that since Angle made it a point to tell Cornette and the fans he'd call it down the middle, it'd prevent that course of action, but knowing Russo and Jarrett, probably.
-
And Im going to take them seriously. We've only beaten them like once during that stretch.
-
Chicago's weakness was getting complacent, and I think that's been flogged out of them in time for the 49ers game (do we play them every year?), or at least I hope. Sure seems like it. Why do they like scheduling Chicago vs San Francisco? It's not like its the hot rivalry.
-
So they aired all the video packages with Rhino in Detroit for fun or something?
-
Thank god. Their fans were getting annoying with the Chargers > Bears talk.
-
You know, another thing I realized, it's not like Rhino was portrayed that strongly since entering the feud with Christian. So this loss probably kills off any credibility he got with the ECW title deal in June.
-
Because it's the first PPV in Detroit. You want them coming back for future shows, than pissed off at the booking.
-
More upside or not, Rhino losing was stupid. If they wanted Christian to look strong coming out of BFG, at least let Rhino win in his hometown and have Christian lay him out after. That way, you would still have Christian looking strong, but you wouldn't be beating a guy in his hometown before your first non-Orlando PPV crowd and you wouldn't be pissing off the local fans by beating their hometown hero. Well yeah that's true. I was speaking from personal opinion. I know it'd kill the Detroit base to see their hometown guy lose in a "high profile" match on the show.
-
Even though it would have provided the feel good story, I'm actually glad Christian won. I think he has more of an upside than Rhino. That's just my personal opinion.

Did you not notice the discussion of why Peyton's seemingly never hurt? He forces teams to actually play defense and forget about pressuring him thanks to that stout O-line. I make this observation every season, but I don't think anyone here likes for people to be successful. So Michael Vick had a good game. Suck it up and ignore football coverage if it bugs you that goddamn much. You make no sense. I must have imagined all those times the Patriots were pressuring Peyton into making bad throws and all.
-
The problem with the Colts is that they seem to think "Ok, its the big time. Let's start passing like crazy!". The teams that makes the postseason are going to have good defenses, and they are going to key in on Peyton every time unless they prove them otherwise.
-
Not really. I understand where people are coming from with the complaints that USC doesn't deserve the ranking. But it's funny to see people act all jubilant that it took a bye for USC to drop down a spot.

YEA! MICHIGAN LEAPFROGS A TEAM THAT WAS ON A BYE! YEA!
-
I am. With Oakland's "big" win today, Miami might just be the worst team in the league right now. Worse than Arizona? They blew a big lead twice in a row then lost to the team everyone pegged as the first 0-16 team ever.
-
Would you have Cutler play now, or would you hedge your bets and wait until Plummer starts sucking so bad he costs the team games?
-
I would bet my right testicle that Michigan doesn't lose two games down the stretch. (Unless you're including their BCS game in which case you could say that about anyone.) Of course you would. I'll take that bet.
-
Chris, win or not, you have got to be concerned about the lack of productivity on offense, aren't you?
-
I hope you aren't banking on me winning and knocking Alf down. I'm now doubting my Dallas pick.
-
Don't be stupid. There's already a QB controversy in Dallas with Romo. Adding Plummer to the mix makes ZERO sense.
-
I know that he's 2nd for active streaks but I'm not sure if he passed the all-time 2nd place but he will, if he hasn't already. This is for QB's only, as I believe other position players have gone longer then Manning and I believe Favre. The record of most consecutive games played by a non-kicker/punter (really, they shouldn't count, when the fuck do they ever get contact outside of the occasional roughing the kicker penalty?) is defensive lineman Jim "Wrong Way" Marshall, who was part of the Purple People Eaters for the 70's Vikings. He played in 282 consecutive games over 19 seasons (this was when NFL seasons were shorter, though). Today's game marked Favre's 227th consecutive start, only two behind legendary Buffalo Bills tackle Bruce Matthews, 13 behind 70's Viking offensive lineman Mick Tinglehoff, and 43 behind Jim Marshall. To match Marshall, Favre would have to play through all of this year and the next two seasons consecutively, not including playoffs (but why bother with this bunch and the competition in the NFC..?) You mean Houston Oilers/Tennessee Oilers/Tennessee Titans.

Peyton was shook up today.

I think it'd be seen as a steal, rather than them being back.
