Thurman Thomas definitely should get in as well as Derrick Thomas.
-
Then next year would be when I consider it a sham.
-
I know. But if the NFL fucking inducts Irvin before Monk, I will forever then consider the HoF to be a sham, though they are getting there anyways.
-
And good for NFL not inducting Michael Irvin just yet. Art Monk should get in before Irvin.

Honestly, I wouldnt even had included Kevin Walter if he didnt have a good playoff game vs the Steelers this year. It's hard for people to know who Wes Welker is when he plays for Miami, a team where the only receiver people bother to remember is Chris Chambers (or TE Randy McMichael, barely). If Welker continued the way he played this year, or even build on it, by being better the next few years, then I'll mention him.

kkk NFL pick 'em playoff thread for both leagues

Does this mean I'm the Bears of this league? I have a great defense, a middling offense and got eliminated in the first playoff game! -
I didn't. He's just not worth mentioning yet.
-
The white decent WRs in the league now, at least in my opinion, are: Drew Bennett Wayne Chrebet (retired now) Kevin Curtis Tim Dwight Brian Finneran (well he'd be more meaningful with a different QB under center) Matt Jones Joe Jurevicius Dane Looker Ricky Proehl (retiring apparently) Brandon Stokley Kevin Walter (maybe he will be good)

I thought HHH's pedigree on Angle was through a table?

Lushus, what I got from Misawa's comment is that he is just saying that a guy shouldn't be complaining about Bret/Austin not being in top 10 if the person making the list actually had a broader selection of wrestling to rate from. Honestly he is right. Throw Bret/Austin in with all the best matches of the world, and send them out to 100 reviewers to compile a top 10 list and I'd be hard pressed to find even 25 reviewers putting Bret/Austin in their top ten.

Kennel from Hell.

I just assumed she nicknamed that in a mocking way, "Yeah that CM Punk is sure the king of indies!"

He is writing a column at the WWE site. Yeah that's the major announcement.
-
I'm going on a limb, but I'm pretty sure at this point his heart is still with wrestling. He is only 36-38. He is not going to feel ready to abdicate his "throne" to go play Mr Mom.
-
It's stupid to think HHH will all of sudden become Mr. Mom. He's going to be an absentee dad or worse, Stephanie will just take the kid with them everywhere they go. HHH will be here to stay for a long time. No kid is going to change that.

Like Ric Flair did?

Or he could always take the JoeJoe route and disappear after being proven wrong. -
So TNA Could Have Gotten Jericho But Went With Sting

With the right booking, Albert/A-Train/Giant Bernard could have a nice upside. -
It will be Carolina/Denver...that's my prediction.
-
Yeah I felt Grossman had more of an upside anyways. He did very well in the playoff game, even if he got picked in the end. Orton has shown nothing of progress during the season, hell he was much better in the preseason than the season. Grossman is only a couple of years older than Orton, so just stay with Grossman as starter.

They don't get it no, they think having the #1 pick entails in picking the best player overall (debatable) rather than the best player FOR the organization.
-
I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't. Panthers looked damn good yesterday and they might start a hot run like they did two years ago.
-
Yeah, best get it when the Bears aren't the #2 offense in the NFC like that year.
-
If the Bears doesn't make it to the Super Bowl, I think the best Super Bowl matchup is either Panthers/Patriots II or Panthers/Colts. Not to say the Bears would make an excellent Super Bowl team, that offense is embarrassing as a Chicago fan.
-
I know the Chicago offense is vastly underwhelming, but that's not the point. The point is ESPN would focus on the defense. They will be hyping the shit out of the Bears defense. The offense would be an after thought. Let's say it ended up being Bears vs Colts, the ESPN would make it "Offense vs Defense" kind of thing. Bears vs Steelers? "Run vs Run" or "Defense vs Defense". Bears vs Patriots? "1986 All over Again". Bears vs Denver?... ok that is probably an ugly matchup. Seattle, while also admittedly underwhelming, the ESPN will still tout them as the best offense NFC has to offer. The argument is not what makes for the best matchup or what makes for the best matchup for ESPN to shill. Its what ESPN WILL shill out of any matchup. There's something to hype for about the Panthers, Bears, Seahawks and even the Redskins. The AFC will get the lion's share of the hype though, that part I admit.
