In my opinion, because it would divide the audience. I understand the aspect of the whole "epic face vs epic face" showdown, but in Texas, it'd be more preferrable if both Taker and Shawn got the full support of the crowd, rather than having it be split. Well not personally preferred, but Taker and Shawn would prefer that, I'm sure. Then again I'm sure Taker would prefer to take on Shawn if it means his streak remaining intact. Cuz HHH will just fight hard to take that away.

Plus, I hate Taker's streak and I hate HBK, so him beating HBK wouldn't bother me too much. There wasn't any need for an "excellent" contribution. I don't want to see this match. Then again, I'm not one of those people furiously masturbating to some throwaway segment in the Royal Rumble, in hopes of seeing a match between a broken down 43 year old man and a broken down 44 year old man. It's in Texas, which means they will want their big Texas politicking superstars with wins (unless one is facing Triple H, and only then will all bets be off) at the 25th edition of the biggest show of the year. Guess that's what I get for getting overconfident in USC. If a two loss team can win the national title, I guess there's still hope for USC this year, but it's getting bleaker now.
