Oh yeah, that other Adrian Peterson is better than OU's... And before anyone gets huffy, I was kidding.

The Bears looks halfway decent, though its the Dolphins they're playing...

Oh man, I forgot Jake the Snake. Yeah he's gone after this year if they don't win the Super Bowl. I don't see David Carr going under any circumstances. The Texans really love him. I see Aaron Brooks surviving this year regardless the outcome also. Eli Manning? You're kidding, right? They will look at Peyton's rookie year (where he went 3-13) and hope Eli is going through the same thing. He's here to stay for a good 2-3 years, bank on it. Rex Grossman might be, but I see him staying at least another year. AJ Feely... well depends on if Miami gets the #1 pick, then yes he's gone and Leinart's in.

HHH and Ric Flair's return date to TV announced
USC Wuz Robbed! replied to algrim's topic in The WWE Folder
My point is that he had credibility with the crowd when he came to Smackdown. They all bought him as a major player, and were like "wow, Benoit's on Smackdown now, I wonder if he's going to be their next champ?" That was because of what HHH did for him. If the booking crew on Smackdown then decides to treat Benoit like shit, job him to Orlando Jordan, and give him appearances on Velocity, then that has nothing to do with what HHH did for him from Wrestlemania through Bad Blood the previous year. Note the cause and effect difference there. Your argument is tantamount to saying that the reason that Orton didn't get over as champ is that Benoit didn't put him over right. Benoit did everything that he could, it was the booking afterward that hurt him. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> But Benoit was treated like shit RIGHT AFTER THE HHH FEUD!!! The only reason people bought him as a contender when he jumped was because they thought he would get a fresh start. His credibility was shot already, they just hoped for a clean slate. It's funny you use Orton as an example, because I wonder who killed Orton's credibility.... -
Don't expect too much out of the game though. I'll be watching since its my Bears playing but I don't expect to see Grossman in for more than a few series, if even that. QBs on the hot seat: Kyle Boller (I think they expect him to do well this year or else), Joey Harrington (see the Garcia signing), but even more importantly there are teams with custodial quarterbacks like Trent Dilfer, Drew Bledsoe (sorry he's not a long term investment), Kurt Warner, etc.

Somehow I think CarnivalizComing really doesn't believe what he says, but just wants to argue for the sake of arguing. Rrsh, I can tell, really believes what he says.

Thanks for the good laugh. Too bad you're completely fucking wrong, AGAIN. Seriously, what the fuck are you watching that no one else is?

HHH and Ric Flair's return date to TV announced

Question for you, Iggy: Doesn't it hurt when you shit out of your mouth? -
I rather not see them at all.

That was kinda the point. Rock would be jobbing to Shelton here. I never said Rock should beat Shelton, did I?

Jeff Hardy coming back; plus Internet DREAM match
USC Wuz Robbed! replied to Astro101's topic in TNA Wrestling
Wait, which Sydal do you think they're talking about? Cade or Matt? Because the one they are using is Matt. -
I know. That was fantasy booking and wishful thinking than anything else.

*Does the Regal sobs after losing the European title to Jeff Hardy*

You mean the Reds that lead the National League in team OPS and is second only to the Cards in runs scored, or another Reds team whose offense sucks? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> "Empty numbers." <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Actually he'd say "HOLLOW NUMBERS. The Reds are just STAT MONKEYS!"
-
Well actually in my scenario what I would do is have Rock come back for two years or so, build his reputation as a guy who CAN win matches. Have him go over established names (read: guys that can afford to job like HBK or HHH) in that time. Concurrently, have Shelton run through the competition as well, not jobbing at all or very rarely. Then have Rock and Shelton collide where it's all about two athletes at the top of their game engaging in gamesmanship in the ring, throwing everything they have at each other, and having Shelton beat Rock finally and cleanly. That CAN elevate Shelton if done right.
-
Yeah I know. He still has a chance to though Speaking of which, what match would be ideal for the Rock to officially leave on? I'd say Shelton where the torch is passed, but it would require a serious push for Shelton, which I don't see so whatever.

National Lampoon rips on Futurama
USC Wuz Robbed! replied to Gary Floyd's topic in Television & Film
Gah 5:30?! Fuck. At least I saw all of the shows, so if they're re-runs, no big deal. -
That's why I said "FULL-TIME". By the time he was doing the La Rez shit he was only appearing sparsely.
-
I think they can do it, but it would require a top-notch defense and an above average offense. They have neither.
-
My wife didn't believe what you said about the Chargers going to the Super Bowl (we live in San Diego so she sees first-hand what they are like). I told her it was plausible but she was like "HAHAHA No."
-
Didn't the Rock pretty much end his full-time career with the Hogan/Rock, Austin/Rock and Goldberg/Rock? That's 3 incredibly high-caliber matches in a row to send him off.
-
I never encountered any cheapness. Guess I must be very efficient
-
No offense zyn, but Hogan/Austin > Eddy/HBK in terms of drawing power. As much of a technical fan I am (and btw, Bret/Benoit has happened a few times already so if you want to see those matches, watch the Benoit DVD or Mayhem 1999), I can understand why they would want to go with Hogan/Austin. The WWE as they have shown many times in the past, isn't overly concerned with putting on good matches. What they are concerned with, and in this financial situation they are in currently, is to make as much money as possible. Sting/Rock, Sting/Taker, and Austin/Goldberg fits in that category. But as HTQ said, the HOLY GRAIL is Hogan/Austin. This is probably their last chance of doing the match and I think they should capitalize. They will also put on some decent wrestling matches on the show to offset whatever discrepancies Hogan/Austin has.

He better scream before every snap, "IT'S VADER TIME!" and after every good block, "WHO'S DA MAN?!"
