Apparently he's doing something right, or else he wouldn't be one of the most successful and often hired agents out there. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He's one of the most hired agents because the potential clients see his guys get signed to silly deals on the threat of holding out, so they think, "WHY NOT ME TOO?" Getting more money may be in the client's best interest but they also should look out for the LEAGUE's interest. Look at NHL for further evidence.

Because Summerslam IS the #2 PPV of the WWE PPV calendar. It has always been. Although in drawing ability the Royal Rumble has surpassed Summerslam, but as far as signficance goes, its Mania, Summerslam, Royal Rumble, Survivor Series, King of Ring (to rate the now defunct KOTR over Summerslam is asinine, with their horrible cards in the past.... King Mabel anyone?)

I know that, but my point remains the same. A network shouldn't have say over the creative direction of the show, as long as the producers are keeping the stuff toned down.

I obviously didn't mean that they should do it right now. I was thinking that after Summerslam or Unforgiven, when the Edge feud is over, and Matt's anti-WWE character doesn't have anywhere to go, then they might want to run a small-scale invasion storyline. I wasn't even saying it was a great idea or anything, just somewhere they might go with his character when this loses steam. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They're better off just re-releasing him than running that dumb angle "just to give him direction".

I would think the only control they had were over editing inappropriate materials (which they failed to do...) but not over which characters. It's like FOX telling 24 not to show Jack Bauer on the show because of some controversy.

Yes. I think 1 starter and 1 backup each position (5 pitchers) is enough. It gives off the real "All star" feeling.

Yeah, I'm a huge USC fan, to the point I was the guy who always got into arguments with Damaramu, but I accepted the fact someone else took USC, and moved on to SDSU.

I've taken video games as my lifelong companion, ever since first playing Atari at my grandmother's house when I was a youngster to now, where I had owned a video game console of every kind in US existence at one point or other. My interests in games has slowed down a lot, not because of age, because I am still a kid at heart, but just the kind of games coming out lately. They're either too adult-related like God of War or the GTA series or they have too many movies in them. I really find myself playing the older systems a lot more often because I think I'm a product of the 16-bit/32-bit era player that seem to be lost in time.
