That's the thing, they just cater to their own fans. They know those fans are the only ones who would "get" it.

They just need to have simple basic storylines, because those are the ones that actually draws the fans in.

Which RoH isn't doing. What they seem to be doing is depending on the word of mouth to sell their product. "Hey I went to this RoH show. It was awesome! I think I should go order their DVDs!" "Really? Maybe I should too...." That's not a good business model for a company that you are saying is a "viable alternative" to the majority of the fans. They need to see proof of the shows before shelling out 20 bucks or whatever on DVDs. I ordered two RoH DVDs and they were great, so that's how I got into RoH, but I find it hard to continue following the promotion because you know, money doesn't grow on trees so I can't continually shell out the money for every event just to follow the storylines and such. Considering I'm what some would call a "hardcore" fan, as in I try to stay involved in wrestling, if I have difficulty doing it with RoH, I can't imagine the casual fans doing it at all. When RoH somehow finds a different avenue of advertising their shows, like TV (which I think they aren't ready for to a degree), then I think the fanbase would grow beyond the typical and same RoH crowd. I can't seem to find a site that lists matches for individuals in the 1980s but I swear I read that Andre had been losing a few matches, but in order to make a huge moneymaking angle between Andre and Hogan they created a storyline where Andre had been undefeated for years when in fact he wasn't. He did probably have a small undefeated streak to put over the angle more.

I didn't actually mean RIGHT BEFORE his Mania match. I meant throughout his career.

Sadly he's been jobbed so much that a 2 year invincible run would not mean as much as if it started in 1999 when he debuted. Nowadays there's just too many people that could claim they beat Show prior to the invincible run. Although Andre did lose quite a few matches before they played his invincibility prior to the Mania match with Hogan.

I still think that's what they should do. He should be an unstoppable, monster heel. Moreso than even The Undertaker ever was. He should just demolish all whom oppose him in the ring. I'd believe it. Why not? Give him a two-year reign. Hell, Bradshaw had the belt forever. He doesn't bring the workrate but who cares? WWE never appeases us. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It also creates a Hulk Hogan-like babyface when that said face finally defeats the Show.

At this point, I think the casual fans wouldn't want to pay money on wrestling right away, like they would have to do with RoH. They would prefer watching something free like Raw/SD, then if something appeals to them, pay for the PPVs. Wrestling is just not hot enough right now for RoH to exist as a viable alternative.

Now that I think about it, I'm sure even if one player screws around the actual game wouldn't be affected outside the score. The starting pitchers probably would go out to pitch regardless if he got ejected in a fan's video game.

I don't worry about my team's offensive stats. All I care about is my pitcher's stats. That's what I play for, the pitching.

I agree that not a lot of people care about the White Sox, but can you blame them? They have been sucking for a long while. While I'm a White Sox fan, I will always be wary of their performance. I can see how the nation, if forced to choose between Cubs and White Sox, would pick the historically known Cubs.

Could have fooled me. WGN has been showing a lot more White Sox games here than Cubs. That shows an interest in the White Sox, the MAJORS' leading team.

CanadianGuitarist showed earlier why he can't relax, blowing a lid because I mentioned foreign dominance and he rattled off all those things about Canadians. Lame.

Marino is without question top 5 QB. To say he's not because he hasn't won the Super Bowl is laughable. It takes more than a QB to take a team to the Super Bowl. Hell look at Peyton Manning. He set a record for TD passes and he still couldn't get to the Super Bowl because his defense was atrocious. Marino had no running game to complement the passing game. This doesn't fault him, nor should it. I'd put him at #2 at the very least (though in my mind he is always #1).

I think the people in charge would set up the game to fit the real lineups. Though it'd be hilarious to yank the starting pitcher.
