No one will care about a broken streak but that doesn't take away what he has accomplished in the WWF/E, and it doesn't ruin his Wrestlemania legacy. It's impressive enough that he's wrestled at over 16 Wrestlemanias and been successful at every one up to the supposed loss. Really, take some fucking perspective on this.

Almost definitely. I see them winning that division by at least 3 games. Three? I think Chicago might have something to say about that. The fact is, it's hard to win two straight on the road to open the season. The fact that they could have easily been 2-0 as much as they are 1-1 in reality, says the Bears aren't the crappy team you seem to think.

Yeah Stephanie was apparently infatuated with Dan Rodimer before other people talked Vince or her into realizing he sucked. -
Really? I think it'd go in opposite way, that Green Bay wins in an impressive fashion. Then people would really believe in Rodgers and the rest of the season either goes one of the two possible ways: 1. Packers surprise everyone by being a top two quality seed in the playoffs, and Rodgers has a Romo like emergence. 2. After a hot start going about 4-8 games, they stumble a bit and finish as a wildcard quality playoff team. Either way, Packers are probably playoff bound.

Since when is Shawn Michaels's kids going to be destined to control WWE? I don't think that'd happen. The best they'd get is the Orton type push where no matter what happens, they have a main event spot waiting for them. As for HHH/Stephanie, I don't know their arrangement, but if Stephanie is already looking at younger guys presumably for a "good time" (Rodimer), then it's plausible that she's getting bored of HHH already, or she will sooner or later. -
No. It wouldn't.

I was mostly joking. I agree that San Diego screwed it up by allowing the TD and the conversion. But without that call, San Diego has the ball and Denver's threat is ended. So while it's lame to put all the blame on Hochuli for the actual loss, it's also just as lame to think that the call was an insignificant one that didn't matter to the outcome. edit: But hey, Denver... yeah that's actually a fun offense to watch.

Helps to have a referee in your back pocket, too.

Would it be deliciously karmic if Triple H was pushed out of WWE by the wrestler that marries his daughter (similar to Vince pushing his father out of WWWF)? -
Jeff Hardy Strikes Out for the Final Time?

No it wasn't made clear yet after the fiftieth time mentioned. Feel free to re-state. -
I don't. One of the reasons I've not been as vocal this season is I fully expect the Twins to grab the division out of the White Sox's grasp.
-
Whoa, I just realized I'd have to play my old division as my non conference schedule. I just can't escape the AFC West.

Well, they gotta. They're maids. -
Boy, that'd be a shitty hypothetical Pac-10 team, to win all their games in conference and lose all their non conference games.
-
I think they can. It's "will they" that's a different story.

Not really. -
The thing is, even though USC gets upset every season in the past few years, they still managed to win the conference.

Oh I don't question that Stafford is a top ten pick. He is a top 3 QB available coming out, and I'm pretty sure there will be at least two teams in the top 10 spots that'd need a quarterback. My contention is Stafford isn't a #1 overall pick. Neither is Sanchez, just to clarify that. Considering Chase Daniel was a strong Heisman candidate last season and he seems to have gotten even better this season thus far, I don't see why Daniel couldn't be the first quarterback taken. Don't forget, there WILL be people claiming that Georgia is where they are because of Moreno, not Stafford. It'd be harder to argue against Daniel's part in Missouri's success, because the only other guy that can claim responsibility is the guy catching Daniel's passes. I suppose with Herm Edwards, Stafford would make a better piece in his offense whereas Daniel would be more suited for a team like Minnesota, but I wouldn't be surprised if Kansas City wanted the local star. All in all, this is a silly debate.
-
Not really. Matt Stafford doesn't put up the impressive numbers that the other quarterbacks do. What makes him more impressive than Chase Daniel, Mark Sanchez, Sam Bradford, Pat White and others? Hell I think Bradford would get picked ahead of Stafford. Sanchez won't be a first rounder if he came out this year but he might be if he stayed on for his senior year, and get picked after Tebow.
-
If Brad Childress actually gets to stay on another season, I think Chase Daniel would be perfect for his offense. He is very mobile and he has good field vision and a good head on himself. If I based my draft predictions on where I lived, then I guess I'd have said Mark Sanchez would have gone #1 overall.

I think Chase Daniel will end up being picked before Matthew Stafford. And for the record, Chicago outscored New Orleans in Week 1, so why do people think they can't even combine with Tampa to outscore New Orleans?
-
Man, the Vikings make all that bravado in the offseason about how Jackson is their quarterback and there's nothing that will change that. Three weeks into the season they already want to switch quarterbacks? I can't see Brad Childress keeping his job after this season, playoffs or not.

Yeah, but it's not really an important race when both teams have essentially locked up playoff spots. Considering if Boston beats Tampa tonight, Boston would move into first as well, and Tampa has a four game series with Minnesota coming up. That could make it a race in the wildcard between Minnesota and Tampa. It's hardly "essentially locked up". The only team that essentially locked up a spot is the team that DID lock it up, that being Anaheim. Tampa is eight games up on the Twins with 13 to play (11 for Minnesota). The best Minnesota can do is be 3 back with 6 to play. It would be the biggest collapse in the history of modern sport if the Rays were to miss the playoffs at this point. Literally. And it's doable. Especially after seeing the Mets shit the bed last season.
