Shootouts shouldn't count towards the players' stats at all. It should only serve to end the game decisively. Whatever the players accumulate in regulation and 1 OT should only be the things they count.

Which is why a shootout or something is needed, to make ties more of a rarity.

Because he isn't actually any good. He's only good in a certain style of match, that being a hardcore brawl with lots of crazy spots to disguise the fact that he isn't very good without a great deal of camouflage to hide his weaknesses. While that isn't necessarily a bad thing, it does greatly limit the ways you can make use of a guy like him, hence WWE having no real interest in him. About the only person to get a good to great match out of Awesome is Masato Tanaka in a hardcore brawl like the one at ONS, and WWE doesn't do that sort of thing anymore, at least not on the kind of regular basis that it would be needed to be done on so as to maintain the illusion that Awesome is any good in the ring. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He was passable in WCW with the right opponents, and he didn't have to kill someone to do it.

What they should do is show an aftermath of a serious beatdown involving a beloved face (Cena perhaps) where he is bloodied. Then they should have someone else accuse the Arab-Americans of being the ones to do it, because we can't trust "those sand people!" Hassan and Daivari could deny it til they were blue in the face, adding on, "See? This is what I mean, people just don't trust us because we're Arab-Americans!" It'd lead to the attacker coming out and revealing himself to be the true villain. This would send the fans into a shock and make themselves feel bad for suspecting the Arab-Americans in the first place. Not that WWE would actually do it.

With the Kings demise? When was this? If you mean our playoff exit, yes we fell hard to a good Sonics team. However, our team went through many changes this year and still secured a 6th seed in the West. Now, we didn't have homecourt in the playoffs unlike previous years, but until we actually fail to make the playoffs, like your ball club, I find it hard to write us off just because of some off season moves or potential of other ball clubs i.e. Golden State.
