Not that it really justifies anything, but Austin doesn't strike me as the kind of character to walk around eggshells. That being said, if it was scripted, it's probably because they think the Stone Cold character is a racist. If it wasn't scripted, then well, Stone Cold probably IS racist.

Vengeance won't outdraw ONS. Most people I know only shells out 35 bucks every month, picking either the Raw show or SD show. In this case, it was the ECW show. I don't really see how two Mania rematches, a few matches that we've seen many times before (Shelton vs Hassan and Kane vs Edge), and an "interesting" WWE title triple threat match that features two guys who has fought last year around this time (Christian and Jericho) as well as the rapper would beat a 5+ years in the making ECW reunion....

That's a likely scenario. Plus they don't really have plans for Jericho, so they won't mind throwing him over on Tuesdays. and Tino, they'll keep putting guys they INTEND to push on Raw, because SD is pretty much done.

WWE threw together those matches with most of the matches' participants not having worked together in years (Rey/Nicho, The Triple Threat, Main event tag, etc), so naturally their first match together again would be awkward. Which is why they should have ran those matches on the house show circuit in late May to June, when the fans already know the card, before the PPV.

Went to the White Sox/Padres game today. Brian Lawrence did well enough to sustain a lead over the White Sox for the whole time he was there (7ish innings). It was Aki Otsuka who allowed the walk on a bases loaded situation to force the tying run in. Then it was Trevor Hoffman who allowed the 3-run blast in the 10th inning to pretty much clinch the White Sox win. Good day to be a WSox fan.

It was likely a WORKED shoot. Vince knows the fans knows all about what's going on, so he likely didn't care. And if he did, he'll punish Heyman later on. However like I just said, it was more likely a work than an actual shoot.

I wouldn't go as far to say Rocky has really made it in Hollywood. He's still stuck either doing supporting roles in A minus-films or lead roles in B-films. I'd dig a heel Rock vs refreshed face Jericho though. That's something they haven't really explored yet.

Absolutely. You're entitled that. My point is that Rock has done his part to "put over" Jericho. Now it's otHHHer people's turn to put Jericho over. Rock is better off either staying away from WWE, as to not associate himself with the crap that's going on, or continuing appearing in the most random way for no reason to put over the smallest thing. His days as a weighty jobber is pretty much over.

Rock's done enough for Jericho. The only thing he can do at this point with Jericho is put him over totally clean, and really that wouldn't do jackshit for Jericho's character without a sustained push after the fact, which HHH won't likely be willing to allow.

You know what's funny? If Vince was as protective of the WWE as I think he is, he's going to bury ECW tomorrow and for as long it takes for the fans to lose hope for ECW or any possible resurrection.

Why? There's no need for another show. This was an awesome sendoff to ECW, and there's no need at all to go beyond this.
