Actually, the main problem with this thread is people who are unable or, like you, unwilling to see that their favorite winning was wrong for business. And of course you won't change your opinion, because that would involve you having to admit that Michaels winning, while great for sentimentality, was bad for business, for all the reasons that have been explained. The only reason for Michaels to win was purely for a feel-good ending to the feud, when the best thing for business was Jericho winning, and leaving Michaels to get his win at a Raw, or even building it up for a 'B' level Raw PPV where it could even have been used to draw some buys. Jericho winning being the best thing for business is obvious to anyone with a clue, which seems to be why such a fact is beyond you. As for who thought Jericho would be one of, if not the biggest star by 2005, that would be people who are in favor of change and progression, which sees new top stars made, and guys whose time has a main eventer has passed, like Shawn, to do what is best for business and step aside, to let someone new draw money. Those comes later with time and money. edit: Ok you have just the second level seating and one restaurant. My point is don't spend all your money in one day/few days. You should set aside money in case you lose money in the first year, so you'd have something to spend next year.

I hope you are right. However I just don't see them doing it this year. Maybe next, but there's just too many holes right now (HB... like you said, a failed Cardinals/Buccaneers back is not the answer, WR, a few spots on the defense). I think it would take two good drafts (this year and next), good offseason moves and then the Bears would roll.

There is just not enough on either brand to really warrant a division/belt, but if combined... To be fair, the WWE can't afford to gut Raw to save Smackdown, especially since Raw is the flagship show like it or not. As it stands, they don't want a repeat of 2002-2003, which had Raw be utter shit and utterly derail the company quality-wise. Best be is to let SD die a horribly nasty death and move the best people to Raw. I agree that the WWE won't want to gut Raw, and they won't, but I think that they would want to strengthen Smackdown without really weakening Raw. Which is why the tag team thing would be ideal (not that it would save either brand). Likeliest scenario would be this- Raw: HBK OR Orton Christian Jericho a few lower card talents like Steven Richards Smackdown: Cena (you know he is so headed there) Heidenreich Bob Holly and his kind of people (lower midcarders with no direction whatsoever)

I mean instead of Matt Bentley they should just repackage him as Shane Matthews. Have him come out and say he is tired of living in HBK's shadow, so he will cut ties with any connection to HBK. Hence "Shane Matthews". It is staying true to the principle of using your first name as your wrestling last name (Michael Shawn Hickenbottom---> Shawn Michaels, Matthew Shane Bentley---> Shane Matthews)

and Failed Mascot stands by that game I got MVP for $10 bucks. It's pretty fun, but lately I'm just occupied with that pitching mini-game. It's addicting.

BTW to whoever said Cena and Batista should celebrate together, this is a bad idea and the only way that this would work is if Batista just looked at Cena like "Who the hell are you to come out here now during my moment?" and proceeded to powerbomb Cena through hell.

Jordan is definitely worth a look as far as starting goes, he has been pulling in some nice numbers for the Jets despite not being the primary back. Though I feel he's being overpaid.
