USC Wuz Robbed!

Another message from Damaramu (who wishes to be reinstated to TSM... TEKE!) You guys were right. OU wasn't as good as I thought they were. They had the ability to win the game but they just played stupid football and the Trojans outclassed them in every way. The Trojans were the better ball club and The Sooners simply weren't. I'm depressed that Jason White couldn't have his title but he didn't deserve it on this night b/c he played like shit. The guy seems to have a problem with performing in big games. I hope he fails in the NFL and comes back to OU as a QB coach since he has the knowledge to help the younger guys. This was OU's last chance for a couple of years as they now have to reload. They'll probably still win 10 games every year and play in the Cotton Bowl or a BCS bowl but not for a national title. It is depressing but I can deal with it. I'm sorry I melted down leading up to this game. But here in Oklahoma College FB is all we have and I take it seriously. If I come back I will live up to my agreement with Slasher Flick and put a big picture of Matt Leinart holding the Crystal Trophy in my sig. I am upset at my Sooners but I still love them. I feel they didn't give 100% of there heart in this game and for that they didn't deserve it and I'm glad USC made them pay for going through the motions. Hopefully Bob Stoops will take the last two years and use them as a learning experience b/c he is a great coach. I hope OU doesn't lose him to an NFL team b/c I think he will get us another title. This was his third title game. Yeah he's 1 for 3 in title games but I think he can net us another one in 3 or so years. So in closing I hope I can return to TSM and root on The Eagles for the Super Bowl and I am sorry it came to this. The Trojans were flat out better than The Sooners.

I was thinking more in terms of if SF trades their pick away. I can see someone trading up to grab Benson or Arrington or something stupid like that. Maybe Chicago (because.... THOMAS JONES IS NOT THE ANSWER), however I hope not.

Well USC has the best pass rushing defense. Oklahoma was JUST NOT PREPARED for it.

He dug his own grave on that. I think had he kept his mouth shut leading up to the game it wouldn't have been so bad. He put the final nail in his coffin with the way he acted over the weekend when Texas won. He trashed any goodwill left towards him with his posts in the Rose Bowl thread. I'm not trying to defend him. I just mean if it was OU killing USC, I'd not want to show up on the boards to hear Damaramu heckle me or whatever.

Damaramu just didn't want to deal with people here who would have likely gloated or rubbed his nose in it, understandably.

It's somehow too easy. I half expect Stoops to break out laughing and saying, "Now we've got them where we want!" and throwing 6 TDs while recovering every single onside kick.

They could do Auburn/Utah in the backwoods, winner faces Orange Bowl winner.... I mean, Pitt is nothing, so Utah shouldnt be too tired from that.

USC was willing to play against the winner of Sugar Bowl last year, still got vetoed. I don't see it changing this year.

OU will win because USC has never faced a defense of OU's magnitude. Knowing Stoops and his defensive coaches, they will devise blitzes or coverage matchups that really handicaps USC's explosive offense. Making USC look like Vanderbilt in comparison.

Well I ran three simulations of the Orange Bowl match between USC/OU on NCAA 2005: USC won every game 42-28, 35-14 and 35-7... And just to see how OU/Auburn and USC/Auburn would have done, OU/Auburn: Auburn wins 28-21 USC/Auburn: USC wins 21-17 Obviously this will likely not reflect the actual game, but I just found it interesting.
