If I had Kordell Stewart as my quarterback for a good part of the 1990s, I'd be crying too.
-
Good move, IMO. They need to upgrade Fassel to official offensive coordinator.

Whoa hey now... Schaumburg White Sox is money!

Is Mike Martz a crappy coach that you hate?

Then I would hope Green Bay pays Atlanta back for the Lambeau loss.
-
Yeah I know. Chargers won't even make it past New York anyways.
-
Thats the thing though its not just Big Ben, they have a dynamic running game and a killer defense as well. Say San Diego and Indy win this week which I expect that they will. The Chargers would then go to Pittsburgh and while they will likely keep it close and slow down the running game theres too many holes in that secondary and Roethlisberger will take advantage of them. Plus, Brees and Tomlinson will be neutralized by the Pittsburgh defense cause while they can score the Chargers are a couple players short of taking advantage of the Steelers weakenesses. I've seen the Steelers about 5-6 times this year don't believe the hype? No. Believe it. I hope the Steelers thinks the same way you do. Because if they forget about Gates, it'll kill them.

Well at least Utah caught Pitt and anally raped them.

Does this mean no MNF for NFL? Anyways I'll be watching this... because what else am I going to watch? Wrestling? *HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!* I predict Auburn wins by 14.
-
Why Leinart? Dorsey is doing a serviceable job. They can just keep him and hold out for the next REAL good QB.
-
Touche. I'm just bustin' your balls. I'm still bitter you swept my ass. If I had those two games back, it'd be me in your spot or better.
-
But Indy DID rest their offensive starters. So regardless of if their defense sucks, with Peyton and Co. they can surely keep up with Plummer.

...because I was already in the playoffs, and didn't want to jump through rings to attain computer access while I'm in dial-up hell. And to top it off, this would've been the only reason to check the board for the last few weeks or so. My bad. You should have just laughed in his face. It's his own damn fault for losing by 1 game every time.
-
You'd be wrong. Stoops did win there too, y'know!
-
No you lost because you didn't win enough games to ensure that this kind of thing wouldn't happen... just like I lost because I made stupid picks over the last month or two...

The Steelers is all about ball control.

Eli doesn't have the corps that Ben has. All in all; Manning's skills likely kick in. Remember very few greats look good at the start. Big Ben has shattered the illusion of rookie qb's because not many rookie QB's get a receiving corps like Ward/Buress. Burress was out a few games I believe, though. So Ben did have to do some work himself.
-
So... Ben Roethlisberger goes 12+-0, Phillip Rivers goes 0-0 (he came in this week in the second half, and kept his team from losing), and Eli Manning goes 0-7... anyone tell me why Eli was the higher ranked prospect? Edit: Ok, 1-6....

If the Packers were to meet the Colts in the Super Bowl, I'd root for Favre because god knows it's probably his last shot.

Like I said, I didn't consider it an upset. The Giants clearly outplayed Bills, and it showed, not in a form of a blowout, but in the form of making the Bills look lost and clueless on the field holding their dicks in their hands while the Giants dispelled the no-huddle offense with a great defense and time-consuming offense. As for smh810, I sure hope you're right and that Chargers prove me wrong. I won't hold my breath though.
-
Great game. Giants forcing the Bills to retard their play down to the Giants' level with excellent ball control. Regardless I don't see why that's considered an upset. (Yes I know Bills only lost on a missed FG, but it's a loss well earned IMO).
-
To be honest though, Chargers hasn't really won any games against good teams. They crumbled to Falcons, Jets, Colts, and the Broncos. They won against the Raiders twice, Chiefs twice, Titans, Texans, Jaguars, Broncos once, Panthers, Saints, Bucs and some other team I forget who. Any moderately decent team could run that record up against that field of opponents.
-
Didn't the Eagles say though that Owens would be back in time for the Super Bowl should they make it that far?
-
You really don't think the Eagles can defend the Colts' passing attack? They have decent corners and they got one of the best safeties in the NFL...
-
That may be so. I just feel they are setting the city up for a disappointment (and I know this since I live in San Diego), much like the Chicago Bears did in 2001 (when I lived there... maybe I'm a bad luck charm).
