No because the winner of the Orange Bowl will win it outright.
-
Probably because everyone thinks Auburn will just kill Virginia Tech.
-
On another note, while Chicago is out of the playoffs, it'd be great to win against the Packers again (I know, unlikely).
-
Czech was making fun of Damaramu's conference thing and my debate with him last night, I believe.
-
Shit, I forgot to finish watching my Batman:TAS Vol. 1. Well I also plan to collect that show on DVD as well.
-
Besides Angel and Buffy, we have such similar tastes (as I'd collect all those if I had the money to invest in such a broad range of $50+ dvds)
-
They also have Quantum Leap Season 2 out too.
-
Well to be honest, while I don't condone rooting for a rival, it wasn't like Texas was facing Oklahoma.
-
If I was playing for Cal, and we were having one of the most improbable years in school history (who seriously thought Cal would be ranked 4th this time of the year when the season started?), had a real good shot at playing in one of the most fabled bowl games, went down to Southern Mississippi to play the finale (which we win) and came home to hear we would be playing in a C-level bowl (Holiday), I'd probably be too pissed to concentrate on Texas Tech. But that's just me. No excuses though for Cal.
-
Well until Texas lose that is. Texas will crumble to pressure. They always do. They won tonight but: 1. It was the Rose Bowl, with just pride on the line. 2. Against a Michigan squad who lost to Notre FREAKIN' Dame.
-
Well what are you waiting for? Post them.... in LSD.

That may be true but this will likely NOT translate into a successful switch to the pros. Look at those unconventional QBs in the recent years who has tried to go in the pros based on their legs (Woody Dantzler, Antwaan Randle-El, Eric Crouch, etc)... they either had to switch to another position or quit football altogether.

Well the guys on ABC's pre-game show and the guys on College Gameday seem to think OU is as they put it "to physical" for USC and will win handidly. So you aren't getting jinxed that bad. I think it evens itself out. Still, I don't want to risk it. It seems to me that there's more people here that wants to see OU lose than people who wants to see USC win. It tires me, frankly. But such is life. This is not the thread to talk about it either. Texas beat Michigan plain and simple. I commend Texas for putting their money where their mouths were.

Stop fucking jinxing USC! The way everyone here... well except Dama, thinks USC will pounce Oklahoma, it makes me worry that the football gods will just screw USC over, and the true USC fans like me have to suffer. So please refrain from all this "DUDE USC WILL TOTALLY CREAM OU!" crap. Tuesday night will prove who the better team is, so let's just wait til then like Dama.

Had a bit of a day with my DVD purchases. Any Given Sunday The Replacements Broken Arrow Seinfeld Seasons 1&2 Cheers Season 1

Well I was on vacation the last two weeks, but stupidly thought I could still submit my picks. I was able to Week 15, but couldn't Week 16. I apologize. Considering though, that I am pretty reliable about submitting my picks with no missing info or missing tiebreakers prior to last week...
-
I'm not a wimp. I can take it like a man. Truth be told, I dug this grave myself, picking poorly the last month or so. If my season is over after this Sunday, then cool. I enjoyed the ride and will look forward to next year if you continue it.

Do I still have a chance?

And USC had trouble beating Cal? This worries me....

Orbach was filming episodes inbetween treatments, so they'll probably have several episodes worth of material involving him to air before they have to decide how to handle Orbach's death. And they have a great deal of lead-time to figure out what to do next since NBC has moved the show's debut back do to his illness delaying shooting. That being said, with the new show I would not be suprised if two things happen: Carry Lowell (who was set to do a multi-episode run on the new L&O show) ends up getting brought back full-time for the new show and/or two (and this is a real longshot) Dick Wolfe breaks down and basically brings Chris Noth back since the whole selling point for the new L&O series was Jerry Orbach and God knows Mike Logan is up there in terms of being one if not THE the show's top popular characters, behind Lenny and McCoy. Of course the real question will be how they write Lenny out of the franchise; I would not be suprised if Wolfe decided to cold-bloodly exploit JO's death as a ratings stunt where his character is killed off and used to justify a massive four-show crossover event.... Actually there were talks of having Noth take over for D'Onofrio on Criminal Intent if D'Onofrio didn't improve his behavior. So I doubt it'd be him taking over on the new show.

well USC is coached by the former head coach of the New England Patriots (Pete Carroll)
-
I too got hooked on them through TBS. Even though I still won't watch it on CBS for some reason (timing, I guess), I love the TBS-run ELR.
-
Jeez I might as well join Vern quitting.... but I will not. I am going to finish better than I thought I could, and the team I represent are exceeding expectations so I suppose this was a good year for me... so far. (Best I can do at this point is 10-6, worst is 7-9)
-
You're still among the top teams in this contest, Vern.
